Kaka! Kaka!
When Konan and Yahiko were horrified and stunned by the scene before them.
As the city gate made a harsh sound, the water in front of the city gate no longer flowed downwards, but began to flow wantonly under a certain force.
That was the suction force of the city gate gradually opening!
Hearing the sound of the city gate opening, the refugees, who looked like corpses, looked at the city gate in unison, with a little hope in their eyes, and began to gather in the direction of the city gate.
"The city gate is open!"
Yahiko's face showed a hint of joy again, and he couldn't help but take steps to run in the direction of the gate.
But suddenly someone grabbed him by the collar, and the force was so strong that he vomited.
"Ahem! What are you doing..." Yahiko turned to look at the culprit in frustration.
But before he could finish his words, a black shadow suddenly appeared, blocking the bridge that he must pass to enter the city.
On his head was a bamboo hat to protect him from the rain, on his body he wore night clothes, and on his forehead he wore a forehead protector with four vertical lines that looked like rain.
He is...
a ninja from Hidden Rain Village!
In an instant, the refugees who had originally arrived stopped in their tracks. In addition to numbness and desire, there was also a look of unconcealable fear on their faces!
The fear of ninja actually suppressed their desire for life in an instant.
Soon, two rows of fully armed sword-wielding warriors walked out, their fine armors making a metallic clang sound.
Seemingly fearing that refugees might force their way into the city gates, the warriors silently stood guard on the bridge and even placed horses on the bridge.
"Those who cross the bridge without permission will die! Those who break into the city gate without authorization will die!"
Amid the warnings of the warriors in unison, the terrified refugees retreated subconsciously.
at this time.
The Amegakure ninja suddenly took a step forward, raised his head slightly, glanced at the refugees in front of him, and said, "Everyone, have you been hungry for a long time?"
After a short silence, he received a sparse response, which made the Amegakure ninja frown slightly.
"Who made you like this? Who made you homeless?"
The tone and expression of the Amegakure ninja were exciting. He looked down at the crowd and said loudly: "Our country is still crying, but the weak Amegakure village leader is still begging for mercy from the big countries that plunged us into war!"
"But what did they get for their humbleness?!"
At this point, his passionate words suddenly stopped, and he noticed that the refugees were all looking towards him, and a smile appeared on his face.
"In the first Ninja War, all the small countries were destroyed by the five major countries, leaving us alone to act as a buffer zone for the war!"
"In the upcoming Second Ninja War, our country has once again been destroyed and become a battlefield for the great powers! Everything we have is gradually being taken away by those great powers!"
"As long as the incompetent leader of Amegakure Village is still there, this country will continue to cry! We need real heroes to lead us against those great powers, Use absolute power to bring us peace!"
"And that hero is our Lord Hanzo! Lord Sanshouo no Hanzo!"
The Amegakure ninja looked at everyone and said loudly: "Master Hanzo said that he is willing to use his Food relief for everyone, and we hope that people with lofty ideals can join us!!"
With the passionate words of the Amegakure ninja, the eyes of the refugees gained a glimmer of light.
Especially after seeing the group of warriors setting up awnings and carrying out basket after basket of bread and placing them there, the refugees became noisy.
"Hanzo-sama!"
The crowd began to shout, and then gradually turned into a unanimous voice!
"Hanzo-sama! Hanzo-sama!"
The rainwater dripped down the edge of the umbrella like broken pearls. Watching the scene that gradually evolved into a frenzy, Kumokawa had a playful smile on his lips.
"It's really boring."
Kumokawa glanced aside and said to himself: "However, I guess there are people behind the scenes who are helping Hanzo with ideas. For some passionate people, it can be surprisingly useful.”
Yahiko looked straight at the scene in front of the city gate, his eyes filled with eagerness to move.
The Amegakure ninja kept saying similar things, mainly about how incompetent the current leader of Amegakure Village was, how evil and abominable the five major nations that provoked the war were, and how powerful, benevolent, and heroic Hanzo-sama was.
It wasn't until half of the bread was given away that he stopped talking and shouted loudly: "Today's relief ends here!"
"Master Hanzo is raising money to gather people with lofty ideals, and wants to lead everyone to change this crying country. If you have ideas, All adult males can come and sign up!”
As soon as these words came out, there was a loud cry.
"Ninja-sama! Can't women be allowed? I can do anything!"
"Sir! Don't leave, our children are going to starve to death. Please give us a piece of bread!"
Seeing refugees coming up to him crying, The Amegakure ninja's eyes narrowed slightly, and his smiling face turned cold.
joke.
There are thousands of refugees gathered here. Even the capital of the Kingdom of Rain cannot afford to support so many refugees. It is good to just help a hundred people every day.
After all, they are just a bunch of cannon fodder.
Therefore, when he saw someone reaching out to him, the eyes of the Amegakure ninja suddenly turned cold.
"Ah!!"
He kicked the refugee on the crook of the leg. The huge force of the kick was merciless and instantly knocked the other person's left leg to an ugly angle. He howled in pain and lost his balance and fell to the ground.
"Don't push yourself too far, bastard. Thank you Hanzo-sama, otherwise I will kill you!" Looking down at the man who was covering his legs and wailing, the Amegakure ninja smiled coldly, and then he looked up at the other refugees.
In an instant, the hungry people recalled the fear of ninjas.
"Listen up!"
One of the warriors suddenly walked out and shouted in a solemn tone: "His Majesty the Daimyo accepts maids, those over twelve years old and under sixteen years old, those with good looks will be given priority, and their families can get five loaves of bread!"
Afterwards, the shocked crowd became noisy again.
A skinny girl soon walked out among the refugees. She also pulled a five or six-year-old boy and asked in a low voice: "Samurai-sama, I am willing to serve His Highness the Daimyo, but I want to exchange ten... no, seven loaves of bread."
"Seven?"
the warrior asked angrily, and immediately threw the five loaves of bread at the girl's feet and said coldly: "A deal is a deal, no matter who it is, it is only worth five loaves."
The girl did not bargain any more, and She silently picked up the bread, lowered her head and handed it to the boy at hand, with a smile on her face and said: "Crucius, sister is going to live a good life, you take these back...ah!"
Before she could finish her words, Suddenly a person rushed out, snatched two pieces of bread from her hands, dragged her to the ground with great force, and pushed her way out of the crowd without looking back.
The thin girl struggled to get up and ran towards the man while shouting: "Give it back to me!"
However, someone from the crowd stretched out a foot and tripped her down as she just got up.
"Hahahaha!"
Seeing this scene, the crowd suddenly burst into malicious and jealous laughter.
They are now the lowest beings, and under the pressure of war and death, their personalities have gradually become distorted.
In this regard, the group of samurai and Amegakure ninjas just watched with cold eyes.
It was enough for them to make a deal and take away the girl. As for whether the other party could keep the bread...
that was none of their business.
"How... could this happen..."
From a distance, Yahiko witnessed all this, his chapped lips slightly opened, and the red bloodshot eyes could be clearly seen, and a hoarse and low murmur came from his mouth.
He couldn't believe what he saw!
He and Konan had the last hope of survival and had to pick up trash to get here.
But the scene he saw now was even more despairing than the scenes along the way!
Why, why did the capital become like this?
"Because this is the real world."
As if aware of Yahiko's doubts, Kumokawa sighed and said softly: "And reality will never be 'beautiful'."
After saying that, he raised his eyes slightly.
Unknowingly, several figures had gathered around him, staring intently at the package behind him, their pale and thin faces full of ugly greed.
