Uchiha Giyu Chapter 158
🕑 Added 2024-03-23 08:35:59 +0000 UTCChapter 158 Hozuki Suigetsu Gift
Konan was sitting at Kocho Shinobu's desk, organizing the words for asking "whether Muichiro is a cyborg."
The color of Muichiro's lower hair, and even the fact that he was born with three chakra attributes may be coincidences, but only that warm feeling like a blood connection, Konan still finds it incredible when thinking about it.
She has been an orphan for as long as she can remember, and the people closest to her are Yahiko and Nagato. The three of them are called partners, but they are actually like brothers and sisters.
Now more than twenty years have passed in a blink of an eye, Yahiko has been dead for a long time, Nagato's temper has changed and he has moved away, and no member of the (original) Akatsuki organization who worked hard together is left behind.
Although Giyu, Kyojurou and Kocho Shinobu are all very good people, to be honest, Konan has always felt that there is some fundamental gap between herself and the three of them - as if they are not creatures from the same world.
This is not her feeling alone.
Most adults in the Kingdom of Rain who have formed their own values cannot understand the thoughts and practices of these three people.
The first is Uchiha Giyu, who is known to very few people in the Rain Country.
This man is taciturn and goes his own way. He wanders around all year round, silently investigating missing persons cases that have nothing to do with him.
However, once the culprit is found, whether it is a ninja from a big country or a close relative of a daimyo, Uchiha Giyu kills at will. Therefore, he is wanted by the three Kingdoms, and the bounty is rising steadily, and has already surpassed bounty of the fourth Kazekage.
Secondly, Kocho Shinobu is the greatest benefactor of the Rain Country.
Although she has the strongest bloodline limit in the entire ninja world, she has no interest in promoting force.
She detoxified the large lake outside Amegakure Village and raised fish, cultivated rice that could be grown on slightly poisonous soil, eliminated at least a dozen infectious diseases, and single-handedly established hospitals, schools, and orphanages in the Land of Rain. Kocho Shinobu not only wanted to popularize education, but even proposed the crazy idea of "let everyone control chakra", hoping to narrow the gap between ordinary people and ninjas as much as possible.
Finally, there is the Rengoku Kyojuro whom Konan is most familiar with.
As far as she knew, the small countries that received Kyojuro's help included the Country of Rivers, the Country of Forests, and the Country of Birds, and it was not just the Country of Rain.
This is also something that makes it difficult for Konan to accept it. It seems that Kyojuro will radiate heat wherever there is need.
No matter it is the Land of Rain, she, or even Karin and Seoko, are not special to Kyojuro. Because the sun shines on everyone equally.
Because of the above reasons, over the past few years, the relationship between Konan and the three of them has remained at the level of "cooperation" and has never been able to go further.
After all, these three people are not clearly on the side of the Kingdom of Rain, but on the side of all the oppressed people. Therefore, this barrier is something that Konan, who was born in the Land of Rain, cannot overcome.
Nowadays, the new Kingdom of Rain is about to be born, but Konan looks around, but can't find anyone who can truly share her joy, tension and sadness.
It would be fine if she had never had a bond with others, but as long as she experienced the surging emotion of "being willing to sacrifice everything for the one she loves" even once, loneliness would become very difficult to bear, and as she gets older, The growth, the blur of memories becomes more intense.
Until today.
The moment I saw Tokito Muichiro, that long-lost feeling - the urge to give everything for it without thinking, finally came back.
Therefore, if Muichiro is really the so-called "artificial human", Konan hopes that she can get him from Kocho Shinobu and raise him with her own hands and take care of him.
The problem now is that Konan is worried that this request will affect the cooperation between the Rain Country and Kocho Shinobu.
If Kocho Shinobu is indeed an artificial human created by Orochimaru using Senju Hashirama's cells as rumored, then she probably just wants to create a similar person to accompany her. After all, at least her relationship with Giyu does not seem to be very harmonious. It looks like - the reservoir downstream of the hydropower station that currently supplies power to Amegakure Village was created by a fight between those two people.
In short, people always judge others by themselves. Konan subconsciously hopes to rely on Muichiro to relieve her loneliness, and thinks that Kocho Shinobu has the same reason.
She sat quietly on the chair, her brain spinning at high speed like the blades of a fan, thinking about how to word her words so that she would appear firm but not too aggressive and arouse the hostility or disgust of Kocho Shinobu.
Because she was thinking so seriously, she didn't even notice that a pool of colorless liquid was seeping through the gap in the window facing the wisteria tree.
It flowed along the wall to the ground, and as if it had self-awareness, it quietly approached Konan from the blind corner of the field of vision and came directly behind her.
Immediately afterwards, the transparent liquid quickly gathered towards one point. What was originally a long stream-like beach turned into a pillar as tall as a person in a blink of an eye, and finally transformed into a human form.
When Konan realized something was wrong, a sheathed samurai sword was already placed across her neck. The sword was held by an arm without a sleeve.
She made the following judgment almost instantly - the arm was very thin and should not belong to an adult. The skin was fair and transparent, with no obvious muscles or any conspicuous blood vessels - these were enough to determine the identity of the other party.
"You're dead!"
After the person behind her said these words in a pretentious manner, before the person could continue any action, Konan turned into countless paper shurikens and flew behind the person, and actually penetrated the person directly. The bodies finally gathered and took shape in a corner of the office.
She held her hands together in a tiger seal and called out the person's name with a serious face: "Hozuki Suigetsu, when did you come back?"
"Just now!"
Hundreds of holes were pierced by the paper shuriken. Hozuki Suigetsu quickly recovered his body, and was just about to pounce on hwr to continue this "battle", but when he saw Konan's hands seeming to be in a fire release posture, he subconsciously lowered his head and glanced at his body, only to find that he actually had explosive tags on his body.
Although the explosive tags cannot kill him, once it is detonated, his body will definitely turn into countless scattered small water droplets. If he wants to gather them together, he will need a lot of chakra…
The key is, it doesn't matter if he is destroyed by the explosion, but If the old witch's office is blown up -
"Okay, okay, let's stop here today!"
Hozuki Suigetsu dropped the white sheath katana in his hand, waved to Konan, and then started tore off the explosive tags on his body while toring of he asked nonchalantly: "Auntie Angel, you don't work in the building over there, why are you here?"
The nondescript "Auntie Angel" made Konan's hands that had just been released feel the urge to hold them back.
She slowly floated down, without answering Hozuki Suigetsu's question. She just hooked her hand, and the explosive tags flew back quickly. They were put on her clothes like sticky notes, and then slowly merged with her body.
To be honest, the bodies of these two people are quite similar to a certain extent.
"Oh, what a pity."
She didn't know whether Hozuki Suigetsu was talking about the explosive tags or his "wonderful performance."
He picked up the white sheath katana lying on the ground, drew it out of his body, and in an instant, the light on cold sword made the whole room drop one degree.
Konan could tell that for some unknown reason, Hozuki Suigetsu should be showing off the weapon in his hand.
But she didn't know anything about ninja swords, and she only thought that this sword looked a little… Simple. Although the curvature of the blade is similar to that of a ninja sword, it is double-edged internally and externally.
[It does not look like something from this era...]
Hozuki Suigetsu waved his katana dissatisfiedly: "I sneaked in originally because I wanted to teach that old witch a lesson, but I didn’t expect that it was you who was in the office.”
"Do you think her sword is not sharp enough? " Konan said sarcastically.
"So what? "
In the absence of Kocho Shinobu, it is impossible for him to give in.
Hozuki Suigetsu's eyebrows raised, and he actually raised the weapon in his hand: "My sword is not bad at all! "
Then, under Konan's shocked gaze, He suddenly slashed his katana at Kocho Shinobu's desk and chopped off a corner of it.
"Hahaha, sure enough, even the iron-hard wood reinforced with wood release can't stop this sword! "
Hozuki Suigetsu was ecstatic.
It should be noted that iron-hard wood is the hardest wood known in the ninja world. Ordinary ninjas can't even drive nails into it. Unexpectedly, he just held the sword and waved it, and easily cut it. The iron-hard wood produced by Kocho Shinobu using Wood Release is several times stronger than the natural one.
"How about this sword..."
Hozuki Suigetsu turned his head excitedly, and was about to introduce it to Konan Unexpectedly, what he saw was the door being pushed open, and Kocho Shinobu surrounded by a group of white coats, half-smiling.
The youngest one in the group of white coats, Kaguya Gansuru, clapped silently. He gave a thumbs up to Hozuki Suigetsu, looking very sincere.
Konan, who originally planned to discuss important matters with Kocho Shinobu, stepped back half a step knowingly.
Hozuki Suigetsu froze on the spot for a second, and then he smiled and said: “Well… I originally planned to glue the table together. "
Five minutes later.
"I really didn't expect it. "
Kocho Shinobu patted the left face of Hozuki Suigetsu who was hanging on the wall by vines, with his scabbard.
"It's not just that he said bad things about me everywhere in the Rain Hidden Village. Because he didn't want to help in the hospital, he escaped privately back to the Kingdom of Water, but less than an hour after returning, he vandalized public property in my office again..."
She looked up at Hozuki Suigetsu, sighed and said, "It seems that I can't control you, so I can only write a letter to Giyu to explain the situation. As for the eleventh form of water breathing, you might as well forget about learning it. Lest he have to face his own tricks one day when he cleans up the house, how pathetic..."
"Don't! I just pointed at the one alive! "
Hozuki Suigetsu, who had been drained of chakra by Wood Release, begged for mercy miserably, "I will do whatever you say. Please don't complain to the teacher! I would also go to the hospital and carry a chamber pot to those disabled... patients! "
Kocho Shinobu looked at him without speaking, with a playful look on her face.
"Three months? Half a year? One year! One year is enough, right?”
"That's it. Then you have to remember what you said today. If you can't remember, this recorder will remind you. "
Kocho Shinobu raised the iron box she was holding in her left hand and pressed the button to stop recording, "You know, your teacher is a person who would rather die than break a promise. For him the most disgusting people are those who break their promises. You must not fall into this kind of category. "
“..." After the handle was grasped, Hozuki Suigetsu was about to cry without tears. Then he aimed at Kocho Shinobu's right hand, "Well, can you return the sword to me..."
"Aren't you going to work in the hospital?" What do you want this thing for? We only use a bone saw and a scalpel there. "
Kocho Shinobu glanced at him with a warning look, "Before you fulfill your promise, I will find a place to lock this sword. Of course, it’s a place you’ll never find.”
"Lock it up? " Hozuki Suigetsu's face was full of regret, "But..."
"Don't look like that. I won't give it back to you in a year. Besides, if you use it to chop things all day long, your time in the hospital will also be extended..."
”But it doesn't belong to me alone! It still has an owner! "
Hozuki Suigetsu struggled and interrupted: "Besides, this Kusanagi sword has been hidden in the snow for hundreds of years. I finally brought it to light again. It would be too unfair to hide it again! "
”You just said..." Konan interrupted: "Is this the Kusanagi sword?"
"Yes, can an ordinary sword cut through iron-hard wood so easily? " Hozuki Suigetsu shouted: "Ordinary people can cut iron as well as clay with it. This is the Kusanagi sword!"
The Kusanagi Sword is the most precious treasure in the ninja world after the Six Paths tools. It has always existed only in folklore.
No one knows how many there are; no one knows who made it; and no one knows what the function of each sword is?, and there are only a few records.
But all the documents about the Kusanagi sword, without exception, all mention one of its characteristics - it cannot be destroyed.
This alone is enough to make the Kusanagi sword stand out from the rest in this cold weapon world.
How important is an indestructible weapon? Ask the guys whose weapons were destroyed by Uchiha Giu - such as Kurosuki Raiga and Biwa Juzo. They must have a lot to say.
"It has indestructible Characteristics..." Kocho Shinobu is considered a scientist, and she immediately became interested in the weapon in his hand, "If it is true..."
She pulled out the blade, held the handle with her left hand, and clamped the tip with the index finger and thumb of her right hand. Then she gave it a hard squeeze, but she couldn't bend the blade even a little, let alone break it.
This is a body that can break a mountain with one punch.
"Besides being hard, is there any other use?"
Kocho Shinobu held the handle of the sword and drew a circle in the air, pointed it at the wisteria tree outside the window, and tried to input chakra.
"wo——"
The next second, a sudden change occurred!
The blade of the Kusanagi sword was like a train emerging from a tunnel, extending forward at the speed of a bullet. The huge wisteria tree was mercilessly pierced in an instant!
Kocho Shinobu's expression changed slightly, she stopped inputting chakra, and the blade stopped growing.
However, she held the handle of the sword and did not notice any change in its weight.
"Miss Konan, can I ask you a favor?" She turned to look at Konan who was observing quietly.
No need to say it explicitly, Konan also knows what Kocho Shinobu needs her to do. So she nodded, flew out of the window, and returned about twenty seconds later.
"The length extends by nearly two hundred meters." Konan's answer surprised Kocho Shinobu.
"In other words, the breakthrough speed of the sword is about one hundred meters per second." She lowered her head and calculated, "If used in conjunction with Insect Breath·True Flutter, even enemies hundreds of meters away cannot escape. A thrust at this speed..."
As she retracted the chakra injected into the Kusanagi sword, the sword returned to its original size - the weight still remained unchanged.
"You said before that this sword does not belong to you alone?" Kocho Shinobu looked at Hozuki Suigetsu, "Who is the other person?"
"It's Yakushi Kabuto." Hozuki Suigetsu spit out a name that made Kocho Shinobu unexpected.
"Him?" Kocho Shinobu couldn't understand, "What does he have to do with this Kusanagi sword?"
Hozuki Suigetsu explained: "Do you remember that there was a man who built seven ninja swords in a village near Orochimaru's base in the Kingdom of Water? When my teacher and I first met Yakushi Kabuto, he was there looking for the whereabouts of the Kusanagi sword and planned to give it to Orochimaru to claim credit.”
“About a month ago, Yakushi Kabuto told me that he has finally translated the ancient text. After translating text that he couldn't fully recognize back then, He found out where the Kusanagi Sword was hidden.
"It's just that he has been under house arrest by you in disguise and can't move at all, so he discussed it with me and asked me, a local of the Kingdom of Water, to find it. Then this Kusanagi sword will be ours together!"
"For what reason, he is looking for this sword?"
Kocho Shinobu frowned.
First rule out the possibility that the other party wants to use this weapon to deal with her.
Although the Kusanagi sword can greatly improve the strength of a ninja, it only elevates a person from an ordinary jounin to the level of an elite jounin. For people who want to deal with Kocho Shinobu, the effect is not as good as that of an A-level ninjutsu.
Thinking of this, she walked to her desk, picked up a morning glory with long vines, and said to the flower: "Gansuru, tell Yakushi Kabuto to come to my office."
Konan looked at her in confusion. After blinking, Hozuki Suigetsu also had an expression of "Are you stupid?"
But five seconds later, Gansuru's voice - although it was a bit distorted, you could still tell it was his tone - came out from the morning glory: "Okay, I understand."
”This is it?" Konan asked.
"A newly developed plant last month allows us to transmit sound through vines in this building. By inputting the corresponding chakra, we can connect to the corresponding room."
Kocho Shinobu smiled, "If it becomes more mature, it should be able to connect the whole village. If something happens, you won't have to run back and forth like now. Speaking of which..."
She suddenly remembered that Konan had been waiting for him here: "Miss Konan, Are you looking for me for something?"
"..." After glancing at the Hozuki Suigetsu, and then thinking about Yakushi Kabuto who was about to arrive here, Konan decided to wait until they left before talking to Kocho Shinobu in private.
"It's nothing important. You should deal with the matter in front of you first."
Kocho Shinobu said with a "Thank you for understanding" expression on her face, but she knew Konan's intention in her heart.
When Shinazugawa Genya was resurrected, the things that happened between him and Kaguya Kimimaro were still vivid in her mind. How could Kocho Shinobu not know what would happen after Konan met Muichiro.
But due to the previous lessons, Kocho Shinobu planned to let Muichiro and Konan meet before leaving the village for a while. After a period of time, when the two meet again, the feeling of blood connection should fade a lot.
As a senior and a partner, she certainly hopes that Muichiro and Konan can get along well. Muichiro should be able to do what the three of them couldn't do, Which is to get into Konan's heart.
But she didn't want this intimate relationship to be based on strong physical and chemical reactions, so she had such a plan.
The safest option is to wait until the two of them have calmed down before getting along like normal people making friends.
At this time, seeing that Konan was not going to mention Muichiro in front of outsiders, Kocho Shinobu was a little relieved - among the several possibilities she had thought, Konan was likely to question her directly regardless of the cost, but this did not happen yet.
[That’s okay, let’s find out what Kabuto Yakushi is planning first...]
Kabuto Yakushi is a person who has a very good sense of time. Less than five minutes after Kocho Shinobu hung up the “phone”, he knocked on the door and came in.
"I really want you to find it."
His eyes did not linger too much on Hozuki Suigetsu, but on the Kusanagi sword in the hand of Kocho Shinobu: "Amansugaun Sword, finally met the master who is suitable for it." ( This is the sword used by Orochimaru. Since this sword's name wasn't mentioned in Naruto. I will go with this fanfiction author )
"Master?" Hozuki Suigetsu was stunned for two seconds, and then immediately understood what Yakushi Kabuto meant, and shouted loudly: "Hey, hey, you don't want to pass this thing to her, do you? I still have a share in this sword!"
"The Kusanagi Sword is certainly precious, but if it doesn't show its true value, it will be such a waste."
Kabuto Yakushi pressed the frame on the bridge of his nose, with a confident smile on his face: "Hozuki Suigetsu, you should have noticed that this sword cannot match your hydration technique at all. On the contrary, it is the Totsuka Blade which is suitable for you. It is also one of the Kusanagi Swords. That thing has no shape and will appear in a suitable size according to the user's body.”
" Compared with the Amansugaun Sword, isn't the Totsuka Blade more suitable for you?"
Hozuki Suigetsu asked in surprise: "So, you know the whereabouts of the Totsuka Blade? "
" As long as we collect intelligence through the correct method, it will happen sooner or later.”
"Tsk, are you trying to draw a pie with me?" Hozuki Suigetsu's eyebrows dropped.
"If you are willing to give up the ownership of the other half of this sword, I will do my best to find it. "
Yakushi Kabuto seemed to be discussing, but in fact he knew very well what choice Hozuki Suigetsu would make, "Of course, if you want to continue to possess it, the Amansugaun Sword won't be able to display its true value. It will be like an orb covered in dust. I will give you half of my ownership, how about it?”
"Of course, in this way, if I have news about other Kusanagi swords in the future, I will have to ask others to find it..."
After hearing the last sentence, Hozuki Suigetsu immediately changed his mind: "Then so be it. I still like to kill people at close range, and I always feel a bit defeated by sneaking in someone from a hundred meters away..."
He glanced at Kocho Shinobu, "I might as well give it to you generously."
"Then it's settled." Yakushi Kabuto showed the same fake smile as Kocho Shinobu, "Miss Shinobi, will you accept this belated gift?"
”..."
Kocho Shinobu originally had a dispensable attitude towards this sword. At this moment, after listening to Yakushi Kabuto's speech, there was no surprise in my heart. I was all alert. He just pretended to be helpful, but his words were not so pleasant to my ears.
"There is a folk saying that it is uneasy and kind to ask a weasel to send New Year greetings to a rooster. But conversely, it sounds equally awkward to me if a rooster sends New Year greetings to a wolf and a snake sends New Year greetings to an eagle.”
"Tell me about it, Yakushi Kabuto. Most people give gifts to others expecting a gift in return. What do you want from me? "
Both of them were wearing clone-like smiles, but Konan, who had been watching the show, suddenly felt that the atmosphere was a little tense, so tense that she actually heard her own breathing.
"Since you have exposed my purpose, let's continue. There is no point in hiding.” Yakushi Kabuto stopped laughing and said seriously: "I like everything to be in the most suitable position, that's all."
"The most suitable position for this sword is in your hands, Miss Shinobu. As for an outstanding ninja like me, the most suitable position for me is not to teach math lessons to the children in the orphanage, nor to teach your medical students here.”
"Whether I am a teacher or a doctor, it is just a role I play.”
"Then what do you want to do? Conduct human experiments?" Hozuki Suigetsu suddenly interrupted, "Are you going crazy here? "
”..."
Kabuto Yakushi sighed: "I want to personally establish the intelligence system of this village."
"Ah?" This is an answer that the other three people have never thought of.
"As an intelligence officer, I have had enough of asking others for any information, and I have to analyze the truth of the matter from second-hand, third-hand or even fourth-hand information. "
Yakushi Kabuto replied: "Although Miss Shinobu, you have many fresh ideas and inventions, in terms of information collection methods, Amegakure Village is not only primitive, but also very inefficient, so much so that in order to collect information on missing persons, you actually spend hundreds of millions of property every year to hire ninjas from great countries…”
"And this is not the most important thing.”
"Some important things, such as why Orochimaru-sama's 'resurrection' is getting faster every time..."
Sure enough, when this topic was mentioned, a bright light suddenly flashed in Kocho Shinobu's scrutinizing eyes.
"If you are always like this, even if you are as powerful as Uchiha Giyu, you can only be led by Orochimaru-sama. Isn't it? "
”About Orochimaru...do you have any thoughts?" Kocho Shinobu asked tentatively.
"It's more of a reasonable guess based on existing information than an idea. "
Yakushi Kabuto knew that the time to prove himself had come: "You have judged before that Orochimaru was resurrected through the curse mark left on others.”
"In other words, every time he uses the curse seal of heaven, he will put part of his soul into the curse seal as an anchor point.”
"Since every time he is resurrected and uses The Living Corpse Reincarnation to occupy a new body, his soul will be consumed. No matter what you think about it, he should be weaker than before.”
"But in fact, he has been resurrected continuously in the past three years, completely ignoring the original three-year time limit for reincarnation. Even the time he lasted under Uchiha Giyu became longer and longer, and the methods he used became more and more, this is obviously inconsistent with the previous situation.”
"Obviously, he must have used some method to overcome the side effects of the two spells of the Curse Seal of Heaven and the Living Corpse Reincarnation. "
Speaking of the key point, Yakushi Kabuto lightly tapped the table with his knuckles, "And in the ninja world, there are only a handful of ninjutsu that can utilize the soul.”
"In addition to the Uzumaki clan's forbidden technique, the Dead Demon Consuming Seal, and the spiritual transformation technique of his old friend Kato Dan, there is also the legendary Rinnegan Eye technique that can resurrect the dead."
"You mean, Nagato—"
Konan stood up straight, a hint of shock flashed in her eyes.
"This is very likely, isn't it?"
Yakushi Kabuto analyzed, "The information that Uchiha Giyu brought back from the roots of Konoha said that when the Akatsuki organization confronted Danzo and Hanzo, Nagato summoned a huge tawny Colossus. The ninjutsu released by the Colossus can instantly take away the chakra and soul of the person it hit…”
"Since he can take away other people's souls, then use them, such as replenishing Orochimaru-sama's soul loss, and It's not something incredible, right? "
Konan's eyes widened. She knew that what Yakushi Kabuto was talking about was Nagato's "King of Hell."
But if he wanted to use people's souls, there was no need to summon the King of Hell to take action. He only needs the Human Path to suck out the soul out of the body.
"What is the basis for what you say?" Kocho Shinobu saw the uneasiness in Konan's heart and took the initiative to ask for her.
"As I said before, this is the most reasonable guess based on the information I can collect now.” Yakushi Kabuto spread his hands, "The Akatsuki organization and Lord Orochimaru have cooperated before, and Lord Orochimaru has always been obsessed with the Rinnegan Eyes."
"He is a poisonous snake who is desperate for survival, but now he appears so frequently and becomes even more difficult to deal with. It is impossible without other people's help."
"But if Nagato is protecting him..." Konan retorted and said: “There is no need for Orochimaru to run around. Wouldn't it be safest to stay with Nagato? Why should he be constantly chased outside?"
“This is the focus of my thoughts."
Yakushi Kabuto suddenly laughed. "If the plan of the holder of the Rinnegan Eye is to keep Orochimaru being resurrected, constantly discovered, and constantly killed, in order to divert Uchiha Giyu's attention so that he cannot focus on what is really important?"
[Then what they are really planning...]
Konan and Kocho Shinobu looked at each other, and saw a hint of fear in each other's eyes.
[It must be much more harmful than conducting experiments on humans! 】
"Again, because the information is too scarce, I can only rely on association to find a reasonable reason for those unreasonable things."
Yakushi Kabuto spread his arms to both sides, "If you can let me use my own method to collect information, and what I give you next time may not be so-called guesses, but solutions to problems."
[If Nagato can be found...]
Konan is already moved. Under her seemingly calm surface, she was already burning with anxiety.
Once the missing persons cases caused by Orochimaru turn out to be a bait set by Nagato, then others, at least Uchiha Giyu, will never let him go!
Just when she wanted to speak and let Yakushi Kabuto work, Kocho Shinobu spoke: "We can't make a decision on this matter."
She ignored the movement in Konan's eyes and said slowly and firmly: "In the final analysis, you are the prisoner of Giyu.”
"He didn't kill you because the lives of those 'experimental subjects' had to be protected at that time. There were even many children who were bewitched by Orochimaru to intercede for you…”
"But after a few years, I still think that there is no substantial change in you. Judging from the way you address Orochimaru, you don't even want us to think that you have changed in any way…”
"Anyway, I will definitely consider your proposal. But we have to wait until Giyu comes back so we can discuss it together before making a decision.”
"It doesn't matter. I'm not in a hurry. "
Yakushi Kabuto said very confidently: "It's just that Uchiha Giyu may not be able to come back recently. Because judging from the time, it should be within a month before he meets Lord Orochimaru again. "
”That's it for now. As for your gift..." Kocho Shinobu held the sword and looked up at the Hozuki Suigetsu hanging on the wall: "Are you sure you want to give it to me? "
"At worst, I'll think of giving it to you as payment for teaching me swordsmanship." Hozuki Suigetsu gritted his teeth and said, "If you really feel bad about it, can you write off the matter of working in the hospital..."
“Forget it for you. I don’t particularly need it anyway…”
“I was joking! At least put me down first! "
Hozuki Suigetsu grabbed the vines wrapped around his waist and tugged at them to vent his anger. "If I had known I would never come back, I might as well listen to my elder brother and stay in the Kingdom of Water!"
The vines let go, and the Hozuki Suigetsu fell down. When he looked up, he found that Kocho Shinobu had come to him with her eyebrows raised.
"You went to the Kingdom of Water this time and saw the Hozuki Mangetsu?”
"Don't worry, I haven't said a word that I shouldn't have said. "
"I just met a few Kirigakure ninjas on the way to find the Kusanagi sword. I heard that the Fifth Mizukage has been staying at Mizukage building like Karatachi Yagura recently. I felt a little strange, so I sneaked into the Mizukage building to take a look.”
Hozuki Suigetsu picked at the spot where the vines had strangled his waist, "I originally planned to compete with that guy, but unexpectedly, he told me as soon as we met that he could probably live for a few more months. I suddenly lost interest.”
"After that, he also asked me to stay in Kirigakure Village to start a family and start a business, at least leaving descendants to inherit the name of the Hozuki Clan…”
"I stayed with him for three or four days, and he at least said the same thing a hundred times, the water in my head almost turned into industrial glue. So one day I ran away while he was unconscious after drinking the medicine."
Several people in the room looked at him with complicated eyes and thought: [How on earth does this Kirigakure Village raise children...]
"Since it's his turn to be the Mizukage this year..." Kocho Shinobu asked with some concern: "How is the ninja named Terumi Mei?"
“I know this. The Daimyo of the Land of Water sent her to a small island with a particularly developed tourism industry to deal with an invasive octopus."
“Octopus?" Konan repeated to confirm that she heard correctly.
"That's right. It's a particularly ferocious and cunning octopus. It's said to have drifted over from the waters of the Country of Waves."
Hozuki Suigetsu recalled: "They drove away the native octopus from the coast of the Kingdom of Water, ate them, and finally settled there disguised as victims. There were no natural enemies at all. "
Until recently, in that sea area the number of ornamental fish in the coral reefs has decreased significantly, and even wealthy people who like to dive are no longer willing to travel. After careful investigation, the locals discovered that the culprit was actually an alien creature.
"The daimyo transferred two to three hundred people from Kirigakure Village. It had some effect at first, but later the octopuses became smarter. As soon as people came, they stayed away from the coastline. If they had nothing to eat, they would eat each other. Those who survived also became more and more cunning. Some unlucky genin were even dragged into the sea, and half of their arms were missing when they were rescued."
”It would be a shame if Kirigakure Village couldn't deal with ordinary animals."
Yakushi Kabuto shook his head slightly: "I'm afraid it's not that simple."
Kocho Shinobu agreed, and for some reason, she always paid special attention to any anomalies related to the sea: "On your way back Have you ever seen this kind of creature in person?"
"More than that,"
Hozuki Suigetsu laughed: "When I was passing by the water, I met a group of baby octopuses. They looked like they were just born.”
"I haven't tried to provoke them, but they took the initiative to provoke me, so I caught a few cubs and put them in my body and brought them back. Octopus is also a fish! I plan to raise them and ask the teacher to make them into seafood and see how they taste..."
Several people invariably made up a picture in their minds - a transparent cube with a human head, and a few jumping turtles. The little octopus swam upstream.
"Where are they now?"
"Where I live, do you want to see it now? "
"That's a problem for you " Kocho Shinobu narrowed her eyes and smiled, "If you can, please bring them all."
"Then prepare the fish tank first! "
Hozuki Suigetsu was very happy to share his new toy. He turned into waves and jumped out of the window.
As for the fish tank, it was too easy. Kocho Shinobu called Kaguya Gansuru and asked him to bring the glass coffin of human specimens from the hospital.
As soon as the water tank was prepared, Hozuki Suigetsu came back - he chuckled, and his body and clothes turned into transparent water. Five fist-sized purple-gray octopuses were right where they should have been. The place where his heart and lungs were was moving slowly.
But strangely, when Kocho Shinobu approached for closer observation, these octopuses suddenly seemed to be stimulated by something, and began to sprint towards the outside of Hozuki Suigetsu's chest, squeezing hard. A long bulge appeared!
The scene was like the exaggerated expression in cartoons where the character's heart jumps directly out of the chest after being frightened.
"They seem to like you very much?"
Hozuki Suigetsu was a little surprised by the reaction of these octopuses and no longer restricted them.
Those octopuses broke through the boundary of the water body, actually opened their arms and legs, and rushed directly towards the face of Kocho Shinobu.
Kocho Shinobu raised her wrist and spat out a sharp branch from her palm, which pierced the leader of the octopus and knocked the others into the water tank.
"Hey, Why did you kill it?"
Kocho Shinobu did not respond, but silently took off the octopus strung on the branch, laid it flat on the table, and then picked up a scalpel.
Upon seeing this, Yakushi Kabuto immediately stepped forward curiously and pressed the octopus for Kocho Shinobu. The arms and legs of the living octopus were still squirming after death.
Hozuki Suigetsu couldn't figure it out. Konan was just waiting for the others to leave, so she wasn't too interested.
Until more than twenty seconds later, she heard the sound of Yakushi Kabuto sucking in air.
Immediately afterwards, at the moment when Kocho Shinobu finished the dissection and stood up straight, the other three people present felt that their stomachs were sinking suddenly like a plummeting elevator!
"En! "
Kocho Shinobu turned around and shouted out the window: "As a Hashira, I inform Muichiro and Genya to immediately put down all activities they are doing and come here to see me!”
"The sooner the better!"
