Uchiha Giyu chapter 148
🕑 Added 2024-03-13 06:07:06 +0000 UTCChapter 148 Problem Solving
"The scenery here is really rare! I didn't expect that the place where you live would be so spectacular!"
As soon as Giyu and Tsunade appeared among the skulls of Snakes, they felt a surging sound wave like the hot wind of midsummer coming and pressed their clothes tightly against their skin.
Kyojuro was facing away from the two of them, taking advantage of the moonlight to stand behind the sharp teeth on the snout of the snake and look around.
Although it was already dark in the Whirlpool Country further east, the other party's dazzling hair showed its presence that could not be ignored like a blazing flame.
Just as Katsuyu was about to remind him that a guest had arrived, Kyojuro had already turned around with some emotion. Two lantern-like eyes flickered in the dim space, like stars burning in the endless universe.
"Doctor Tsunade, we haven't seen each other for three years and seven months!"
Kyojuro walked towards the two of them with his head held high, with a whirring sound.
Katsuyu used mucus to activate the luminous substance inside the snake's skull, slightly lighting up the surrounding environment.
Facing the "light", Kyojuro's eyes stayed on Tsunade's young face, grinning lively, but without any offense.
"I am really happy to see that your complexion is much better than before! No matter when a person unties their own knot, it is a gratifying thing!"
"I feel happy in my heart and eyes." When spoken by others, it will inevitably sound a bit disgusting and flattering.
But Kyojuro's seemingly innate generosity and frankness gave Tsunade the illusion of being praised by her elders.
What's more, Kyojuro's praises and exclamations were different from Sasuke's praises of Shizune. They contained real and genuine concern, which made Tsunade feel like she had returned to her childhood when she was surrounded by her family.
When she grew up, she rarely heard such compliments without any purpose.
[ As expected of Kyojuro. ]
Giyu noticed the subtle changes in Tsunade's expression, and it was indeed much more effective than the compliments he had given Tsunade before.
And he noticed that when he met Tsunade, he only said "Long time no see", but Kyojuro told the specific time they hadn't meet for, Even he could feel the subtle difference between the two.
[ Today I Learned something new again. ]
Giyu plans to record this as soon as he returns home, maybe it can be used in the future.
He can even draw inferences from one example and get the time accurate to hours, minutes or even seconds, and maybe the effect will be even better.
On the other side, Kyojuro was still chatting with Tsunade and talking about a past incident.
"About a year ago, one of my clones went to the Kingdom of Iron, where I heard about you were going treat the great swordsman Mr. Mifune!”
"I wanted to wait a while and get together with you and Dr. Shizune, But the chakra of the clone is limited after all, so I had to give up in the end!”
"Since then, although I have heard a lot about you, I have always been far away! I never expected that we would meet here today. I really have to thank you!"
"It's just a coincidence." Katsuyu seemed to smile shyly.
"The Kingdom of Iron?" Tsunade raised her eyebrows after hearing Kyojuro, and suddenly remembered what happened at that time.
"Wait a minute, that basket of rare medicinal materials that someone placed at the gate of the castle tower to treat Mifune, could it be..."
"I heard that the great swordsman was also an upright hero. I also want to just try my best to help him. Anyway, it’s just looking for something, so it’s not too much trouble for me!”
Although Kyojuro didn’t deny it, he brushed off what he had done.
[But the medicinal materials can only be obtained by traveling to the mountains of neighboring countries. ]
Tsunade was speechless for a while, but she also had a rough estimate of Kyojuro's speed.
Then, Kyojuro walked inside and came to the small table and low stool woven with wood and rattan in the middle of the skull of Manda.
The table and stools were specially made of wood by Kocho Shinobu for eating when she came over at noon, and were preserved by the Katsuyu.
"Doctor Tsunade, Giyu, let's sit down and talk!"
After the three of them sat down, Tsunade immediately felt that the pendant on her chest seemed to vibrate slightly.
But when she looked down, there was no movement on the pendant, as if nothing had happened.
[Illusion?]
"So, Doctor Tsunade..."
When Kyojuro was about to get down to business, Katsuyu on the side suddenly corrected: "Kyojuro, Tsunade-sama will be the new Hokage in a few days."
Then she emphasized: "She also said that she would often ask me to go out to help her."
"Is that so? This is another thing worth celebrating! It seems that your title has to be changed!"
Kyojuro's eyebrows relaxed, and then he looked aside Giyu: "So, we are all here today, what exactly are we going to discuss?"
"The thing is like this..."
Giyu said the general outline in two sentences, and then expressed his thoughts without any concealment: "Although you have always had a high opinion of her, she is now the Hokage, which is equivalent to doing the work of the Third Hokage and Shimura Danzo at the same time.”
"As a Kage of a village, no matter what she does, she will have considerable influence. If I tell her the specific reason, it may lead to some unpredictable consequences.”
"But if I don't tell her, I will have to use other means like robbing her. Although it will definitely succeed, it will affect the situation of my people in the village to some extent, so I can't do this."
Tsunade: "... "
Honestly speaking, Kyojuro and Giyu have one thing in common, which is "sincerity."
But the effects of these two kinds of sincerity on others are completely different.
She glanced sideways at Giyu, [Does he think that he is invincible after defeating Orochimaru and the second grandfather who may not even be half as good as he was in his heyday? ]
This is not a random guess.
When Tsunade thought about it, even if Orochimaru used an elite Jonin like Kakashi as materials to resurrect the Second Hokage, he would only be able to achieve half of Second Hokage level at most.
Moreover, since Rengoku Kyojuro is also here, could Orochimaru's death be the result of the two of them joining forces?
"Giyu, your worry is not unreasonable."
Kyojuro's words made Tsunade's heart sink slightly. She wasn't supposed to feel this way.
For some reason, not being trusted by Kyojuro actually gave her a slight sense of frustration, just like when she and Senju Hashirama secretly went to the casino when they were young, only to see Senju Tobirama's disappointed and speechless expression when they came home.
However, this frustration disappeared with Kyojuro's next words.
"But I also believe that Tsunade-sama is not like Danzo and Orochimaru!”
"Just like the medical ninja system of the five major countries, it was successfully established with her help and guidance by overcoming each other's sectarian differences; those basic It is also because of the travels of Tsunade-sama and Dr. Shizune over the years that medical ninjutsu has slowly spread to the surrounding small countries, allowing countless people who should have died to survive! "
Kyojuro stared at Tsunade, as if there was infinite hope in his eyes.
"So, judging from Tsunade-sama's consistent behavior, the meaning of a precious and dazzling thing like life in Tsunade-sama's eyes, and Most of the Kages are very different! At least, regarding this part of the human experiment, we can tell her without reservation the seriousness of the problem, and I believe she will not refuse to help.”
"Human experiments? "
Reminiscent of all the experimental records of Orochimaru and the roots that Giyu had, Tsunade immediately understood something: "That bastard Orochimaru, he didn't do anything he shouldn't have done in the Kingdom of Water, right? "
"You guessed it right!”
Kyojuro nodded and said to her: "According to records, Orochimaru has four bases in the Kingdom of Water, one large and three small. Over the years, he has secretly arrested no less than 700 men, women, and children in the Kingdom of Water, and more than half of them have died in his experiments!”
"Giyu is asking you for the information and data of Root and Orochimaru in order to save those victims who are still alive. We need it to reverse the experiments that have been done on them."
“Humph, you are meddling in other people's business again. It is really your style..."
[Bringing an Uchiha with him is simply unbelievable. This kind of contagious power... No wonder the old man felt so sorry when he(Kyojuro) left Konoha. ]
Tsunade frowned and pondered for a while: "What kind of experiments are you talking about?"
"A small part is the grafting of organs from different species, but we already have a solution for this category, and the victims are recovering."
"The most difficult thing at present is the transplantation of curse seals, wood release cells and various bloodline limits. In order to keep it secret, Orochimaru did not leave a copy of the records in the base -"
“This is my mistake."
Giyu felt a little ashamed and lowered his head and interrupted: "I didn't expect this at the time.”
"Because I was worried that his remaining cells might have the ability to be resurrected, I burned him to ashes without having a chance to examine his body. He most likely hid the data in his own body, or in the body of a Summoning snake clan. "
[Resurrected by remaining cells?]
Tsunade gave Giyu a weird look, "Did you overestimate that bastard too?"
It's strange. On the one hand, this kid is so gentle that he is willing to work with Kyojuro to save strangers' lives.
But on the other hand, he showed no mercy to his recognized enemies. Whether it was those Kumogakure ninjas or Orochimaru, Giyu acted very ruthlessly.
"How can I blame you?! "
Kyojuro patted Giyu's shoulder and comforted him: "No one can think so carefully about such a thing! There is absolutely no need to blame yourself for such a thing! You have done your best! "
"I see.” Tsunade did not express her thoughts, but recalled: "After Orochimaru defected, I went back to the village once because of similar things.”
"But among so many experimental subjects who were implanted with curse seals, only Mitarai Anko survived. And her survival did not depend on me, but on her own tolerance to the curse seal. As for the wood release experiment , that is something completely uncontrollable.”
"Let me put it simply, even I can't do things like reversing the Wood Release and Curse Seal experiments; If Orochimaru himself is still alive and willing to cooperate with me, there may be a slight possibility.”
"If I give it to you, not only will it be of no use to you, but there will also be a risk of it being leaked and taken away.”
Seeing that Giyu seemed to want to retort, Tsunade explained first: "I know that you defeated Orochimaru and you think you are very strong."
"But your true body is not in the Kingdom of Water now. If I give the experimental records to Kyojuro, but those guys in Kirigakure who have no taboos know about it, Kyojuro's life will be in danger.”
"If Karatachi Yagura knew about such a thing, he would never let go of such an opportunity. "
As she said that, she frowned and looked at Kyojuro with a hint of admonishment: "I also know that you have learned the Adamantine Sealing Chains. But that guy Yagura is the perfect Jinchuriki of the Three-Tails. You can't be compared with an opportunistic guy like him..."
"Karatachi Yagura has been killed by Orochimaru." Giyu interrupted.
In fact, because Yagura was controlled from beginning to end to act out a scene, he couldn't even use the tailed beast transformation.
Tsunade was stunned for a moment, and then her expression became more serious than ever before: "What did you say? "
[Are you kidding?]
The last time the Third Kazekage was killed, the balance of the countries was suddenly broken, and it immediately turned into a ninja war.
Although Tsunade always knew that Orochimaru did whatever he wanted, she didn't expect that he would be so crazy.
“When did this happen? "
“Not long before I finished off Orochimaru. "
"Why didn't you tell me about such a big thing earlier?!"
Giyu said confidently: "No one has asked me."
“You..." Tsunade was so angry that she didn't expect that she would take over Konoha under such circumstances.
With the death of the Kage of one village and the jinchūriki, the balance of the five major countries will be affected again - Hey, wait a minute.
The Kingdom of Water lost one jinchūriki, who was a kage.
The Earth Kingdom lost thousands of people to Uchiha Shisui and lost one Jinchūriki.
There are not many ninjas in the Kingdom of Thunder. Thirty jounin died in the hands of Uchiha Giyu, and their cutting-edge power was also severely damaged.
As for the Kingdom of Wind, it is poor and weak. It can't even accept a few decent missions and is continuing to move forward on a downhill road.
Although dozens of Anbu in Konoha have lost their combat effectiveness, they can recover in a month or two.
Calculated in this way, all countries have suffered varying degrees of losses, and Konoha has suffered the least losses.
Once she figured this out, Tsunade became less panicked.
Tsunade asked: "Who else did you tell about Yagura's death?"
Giyu thought for a while and replied: "Among the ninjas of the five major countries, you are the only one."
Pain and the "Angel" of the Land of Rain are not within this range.
"About this matter, you'd better not tell anyone else, lest another careerist decides to take advantage of it... I don't want to be so busy as soon as I sit in this position."
Tsunade pondered for a while, "Although I don't know how Orochimaru did it, but now that your biggest threat in the Kingdom of Water is gone, I'm not so worried about the data being taken away."
“That's really the best."
Kyojuro stood up, Bowed to Tsunade very solemnly: "On behalf of all the victims on the hospital bed and in the culture tanks, thank you for your generosity! I will definitely use my life to protect the safety of these records!"
Tsunade waved her hand: " Considering that Orochimaru's experiments are mostly supported by Danzo, I can only make some symbolic compensation for them.”
"However, I don't think you should have any hope. I know that you once helped in Konoha Hospital, but with your little knowledge of medical ninjutsu, trying to reverse the Curse Seal and Wood Release experiments is tantamount to wishful thinking.”
"Our researchers have dealt with more difficult things before, and I believe there will be good news soon. "
Kyojuro was full of confidence in the Kocho Shinobu who almost "cured" Kibutsuji Muzan, "However, your suggestions are also very pertinent, and we will be mentally prepared for failure! But anyway, it’s much better than doing nothing, don’t you think?"
Considering that Kyojuro used his body to absorb the toxin of black Sanshouo when They last met in the land of River, Tsunade knew that it was useless to persuade him, so she had to agree: "Then let's do this. After I get back, I will immediately ask someone to collect the materials and bring them in as soon as possible.”
Then she paused, "Okay, now that we've talked about the experimental data, what's the point of asking for the disposal power of the root ninja? "
“Who are these people specifically? "
Although she knew that Kyojuro and Giyu were unlikely to do anything shady, she still planned to ask clearly.
Kyojuro looked at Giyu. After all, he knew almost nothing about the root.
"Aburame Torune and Aburame Ryoma.” Giyu gave the answer.
" Aburame Torune is now being treated in the hospital. As for Aburame Ryoma, He is still in the Uchiha clan. But if Uchiha is willing to accept that agreement, the group of prisoners at the root will also return to the village.”
Tsunade tapped her fingers on the wooden table, "However, I heard that these two people are not responsible for the root experiment, and the information they know is very limited. Apart from the ability to control bugs, they have nothing in common... So, Are you speculating on the Aburame clan’s secret method of controlling insects? "
Thinking of this, she shook her head without hesitation.
"If this is the case, there is no way I can agree. I can't casually betray the foundation of a family in the village, no matter what the reason. "
Isn't the reason why the Ninja clan united in the Ninja Village to prevent people from prying into the secret?
Giyu raised his eyebrows: "But wasn't Konoha Village planning to betray the Hyuga clan foundation byakugan before..."
After he came back, he heard it from his family.
"That was because the old man lost his mind. When I knew it, it had already happened!" Judging from the expression on Tsunade's face, she was obviously very disgusted by this matter, "But now I am the Hokage of Konoha."
Giyu corrected him again: "There are still several days before you take the office. "
“You little brat-"
“Please be patient! Things are not that serious!”
Seeing that the two seemed to be quarreling, Kyojuro quickly interrupted: "Tsunade-sama, what we need is not the secret technique of controlling parasitic insects, but the control of insects such as bees, moths and mosquitoes to attack plants. The technology of pollination should not involve the foundation of the Aburame clan!”
" Pollination? " Tsunade frowned slightly and understood immediately: "You want to cultivate crops?"
In this world where various technologies are booming, but agriculture is still stuck in the Middle Ages, anything related to food can be said to be the most sensitive topic. You know, in the huge ninja world, there is only the Land of Fire and Grass. Only these two countries are self-sufficient in food and occasionally export food to other countries.
However, most other areas do not have suitable planting conditions, and hunger is the most common cause of death.
"There are similar plans.” Kyojuro nodded: "But for more specific situations, I have promised not to tell others, so please forgive me!"
“It's about food and it's about reversing Orochimaru's experiment. There are too many things you two want to do."
Tsunade's eyes shifted back and forth between the faces of Giyu and Kyojuro: "I understand. I don't want to agree to this because what you plan to do will touch the sensitivities of many countries.”
"If you have the power of the First Hokage or Madara Uchiha, no one can stop you from doing these things.”
"However, at your current age, if you are involved in the strife between countries, I am afraid that there will be a slight If you are not careful, you will be shattered into pieces. "
She has not officially taken the position of Hokage, and she is not saying this from the position of Hokage.
To be honest, over the years, even Jiraiya, who is the most sympathetic among the three, has never done what these two kids want to do.
From a ninja's point of view, if they continue to grow, by the time they are at their peak around the age of twenty, no one will be able to stop them from doing anything.
But they chose this time.
"We are not two people, nor are we three, we are many people who have discovered that they have the ability and are willing to change the world!"
Kyojuro responded to Tsunade's concerns with great determination, "When we have achieved certain results, There will be more people joining us!"
"It seems that you won't listen to what I say at all."
Tsunade waved her hand and looked at Giyu: "The right to dispose of Aburame Ryoma and Aburame Torune. It's impossible to leave it to you."
Just when Giyu thought that the situation would turn into "the Kocho Shinobu decided to go to Konoha herself with a flash of veins on her forehead", Tsunade changed the subject: "But I can lend them to you for a period of time. How long do you estimate it will take?"
"Three years!" Kyojuro said it was twice the time it took the Kocho Shinobu to cultivate suitable crops.
And by that time, the secret of the Kingdom of Rain will no longer be considered a secret.
"So be it. Anyway, even if they stay in Konoha, what awaits them is about one or two years of imprisonment and interrogation."
Tsunade glanced at Manda's skull, "However, those two people did not sign a Summoning contract with Katsuyu. The contract cannot reach here."
Giyu replied: "When I leave Konoha, I will take them with me."
[ It seems that we are no longer in the Kingdom of Water...]
The final problem was resolved peacefully, Kyojuro thanked Tsunade again and talked a lot about her and Shizune's experiences during the trip.
After about ten minutes, Tsunade stood up: "It's almost time, I have to go back. The Fifth Hokage suddenly disappeared before she took the office. I don't want to leave such a thing to those old guys."
“Then Tsunade-sama, we will see you another day!"
Just before he was about to leave, Kyojuro suddenly remembered something: "By the way, I promised Sasuke to come back on the 57th anniversary of the founding of Konoha Village. The movie "Princess of the Storm" happened to be released that day, can we take Naruto with us?"
This time, when it came to Konoha's core and most important tailed beasts and jinchūriki, Tsunade's answer was not so refreshing.
Seeing that Tsunade seemed a little confused, Kyojuro immediately apologized: "Sorry, if you have any concerns, please treat me as..."
“Okay."
Tsunade finally nodded, "But you have to bring Naruto's elder with you."
"Are you talking about the Third Hokage?!" Considering Naruto's identity, Kyojuro was not surprised.
"No, a younger generation." Tsunade clenched her fists, as if remembering something unpleasant, "Of course, he is just a smelly old man with no sense of shame."
