Revolutionary army chapter 158
🕑 Added 2024-02-03 03:32:10 +0000 UTCChapter 158 Whitebeard And Roger, The Morality Of Pirates
[New World, the desert island where Marine and Whitebeard pirates met. ]
[This island originally had many boulders standing on it. At this moment, all the boulders have actually disappeared. They were replaced by rubble and countless huge cracks on the ground. It is difficult to imagine what kind of destruction this island has suffered. ]
["Are you crazy? Whitebeard." Sengoku was breathing heavily at this moment, with strands of blood dripping from his forehead, looking miserable. ]
[Even a strong man of his level could not withstand it after a day and night of fighting. ]
[The key is that he really can't figure out why the Whitebeard Pirates suddenly tried their best to block their departure. ]
[They are Marines. If Marines don't pursue these pirates, these pirates will be grateful. How can they pursue Marines in turn? ]
[Having been in contact with Whitebeard for so long, Sengoku is very clear about Whitebeard’s character. Although this man is powerful, he has no ambition and hates meaningless battles. His weakness is the crew members he calls family. ]
[The young members of the Whitebeard pirate group are not very strong, so Whitebeard rarely takes the initiative to fight against Marine's elite troops. ]
[Why, why is this happening this time? Sengoku can't figure it out. ]
["What on earth do you want to do? Whitebeard." Sengoku shouted loudly. ]
[Whitebeard opposite Sengoku is exuding white aura. This man's body and will are simply terrifying. He is obviously human, but he looks like a monster. ]
[Whitebeard holds the supreme sharp sword Murakumogiri in one hand, and his body is straight. Even though there are many wounds on his chest, he seems to have no feeling at this moment, and his aura is as unfathomable as the sea. Just standing there, he gave people an unshakable feeling, like a big mountain. ]
["You saw that newspaper too, Sengoku."]
[Whitebeard's eyes are stern, and there is a silvery-white light in his pupils, which is extremely bright, and some fluctuations similar to Shock Fruit are condensed into Ultimate, which adds to the sharpness and oppression of Whitebeard's eyes. ]
["That newspaper." Sengoku's eyes narrowed: "You mean, the revolutionary army?"]
["Do you mean that you are also a member of the revolutionary army?" Sengoku's pupils tightened. ]
[Whitebeard is also a member of the Revolutionary Army? Then this organization is terrible. ]
["I am not a member of the Revolutionary Army, and I have never met anyone in the Revolutionary Army. My knowledge of them only exists in newspapers." Whitebeard shook his head. ]
["Then why?" Now it was Sengoku's turn to wonder. ]
["You still don't understand, Sengoku." Whitebeard suddenly smiled: "I am a pirate bastard, and I have done a lot of bastard things. But at least, I am not completely bad.” ]
["My hometown became a lawless zone because we could not afford the heavenly gold. Slave traders swarmed in, and pirates destroyed the place. The continuous wars created orphans one after another. This is true for me and my stupid sons.” ]
["We were no different from slaves. We were all abandoned by this world."]
["I sm not saying this to gain sympathy from you Marines who are also bastards, but to tell you that as a man, there are always some moral principles that you must uphold." ]
["Some bastard pirates like me can still distinguish between good and bad."]
["Someone has raised a flag against the asshole world government. I will never allow You bastards, Marine, get in his way."]
[ Whitebeard roared loudly, forcefully inserting the clouds next to him into the ground, and then stretched out his hand. The air in front of him seemed to turn into some viscous liquid, and his fingers were inserted directly. ]
["What do you want to do?" Sengoku was shocked by Whitebeard's words. Looking at Whitebeard's actions, Sengoku suddenly had an extremely bad feeling in his heart. ]
["Gurarara." Whitebeard just laughed. ]
[Then he exerted force with his ten fingers, and the world seemed to be silent at the moment. Everyone seemed to have pressed the pause button, watching Whitebeard's movements. ]
[The whole world is like a curtain, torn and twisted by Whitebeard. ]
[Sengoku took a step forward, wanting to stop it, but at this moment he found that everything in front of him was spinning, and his whole senses seemed to be distorted in an instant. "It hit the ground heavily."]
[However, the next moment, he showed a shocked look, because he discovered that it was not that he fell, but that the entire earth was twisted at this moment. ]
["That man." Kizaru was as cynical as his pupils were constricting at this moment. ]
[He saw the earth that was completely broken and twisted, and in the distance, he saw the sea that was broken and standing upright like a solid body. ]
[Whitebeard, this man, he really has the ability to destroy the world. ]
[New World, the sea area is only two days' voyage away from the battle between Whitebeard and Sengoku. ]
[It seems much calmer here. ]
[There are fragments of warships on the sea. Garp and a group of sailors can only set up camp on this desert island at this moment. ]
[On the corresponding sea surface, there is a medium-sized pirate ship with mahogany and red sails. There are obviously more people on Marine's side, but no one has proposed to fight that pirate group. ]
[Just because the opponent is the strongest pirate group on the sea today, the Roger Pirates. ]
["It's really strong." Garp is wearing a bandage. ]
[One day ago, the Roger Pirates fought against him uncharacteristically. Facing the Roger Pirates at full strength, Garp was defeated without a doubt. ]
[It was also at this time that Garp realized that the Roger Pirates had become so powerful despite being silent. ]
[He knows Roger's strength. Rayleigh and Gaban are also terrifyingly strong. There is even the former samurai of the Whitebeard Pirates, a fierce and unruly young man like a lone wolf, whose strength is no worse than Rayleigh's. ]
["You guys wait here, I'll go out for a while." Garp, who was sitting cross-legged, suddenly changed his eyes and stood up. ]
[No one else said anything, only Bogart glanced at Garp's back. ]
[Through the grove of the desert island and onto the other coast, what Garp saw was Roger's back. ]
["Want to fight again? Roger." Garp raised his huge fist and laughed. ]
[He was not weak at all when facing Roger, but the Marine he brought this time was not that strong and could not defeat the Roger Pirates. ]
["Forget it, Garp." Roger turned around and grinned: "Our goal has been achieved, it's time to leave."]
["Your purpose is to protect the revolutionary army." Garp said. ]
[He was just a little careless, not a simple-minded fool. Roger uncharacteristically took the initiative to start a war with them. It was obviously because of the information about the revolutionary army that had just been spread. ]
[Freeing the slaves, Garp had to admit Roja's boldness. ]
["Did the Revolutionary Army's operation fail? How many members of the Revolutionary Army were arrested? Was Roja also arrested?" Garp asked quickly. ]
[All communication tools have been broken on the warship. Garp has been blocked here by the Roger Pirates for the past two days. He is happy with this and does not have to go back to help the Celestial Dragons, but "the disadvantage is that he cannot get any useful information."]
["It seems that you have a lot of connections with the revolutionary army, Garp. That's right. Mr. Roja and the others started in the Kingdom of Goa." Roger looked at Garp's nervous expression and smiled meaningfully. ]
["Mister Roja?" Garp was startled by Roger's address. ]
[What surprised Garp even more was the two pieces of information Roger threw over. ]
[A piece of information was just given. Garp was extremely surprised and relieved at the same time. It said that people from the Revolutionary Army boarded Mariejois, caused havoc in the realm of the gods, and liberated the slaves of the Celestial Dragons. And everyone retreated safely. ]
["You are really capable of liberating Mariejois's slaves and successfully retreating. You are really skilled." Garp couldn't help but smile. ]
[However, another piece of information made his laughter stop abruptly. The above information showed that the time was this morning, and the content of the intelligence was only one point: Marine Admiral Zephyr "has definitely joined the revolutionary army."]
["How is that possible?" Garp squeezed the piece of information tightly. ]
[He couldn't believe that Zephyr, who was once extremely loyal to Marine's justice, actually chose to join the Revolutionary Army. ]
[Garp even felt an emotion similar to betrayal at this moment. ]
[Although this emotion is only for a moment...]
["Why is it impossible? Admiral Zephyr, he is a respectable man and a man of justice who does not kill. Even as a pirate, I once admired his beliefs very much. Now, he just made the right choice again.” Roger smiled and said.]
[Garp was silent, not knowing what to say. He previously believed that what the Revolutionary Army did was right, so he would cover up for the Revolutionary Army, so he prepared a phone bug for Aokiji to contact him. Aokiji left the Marines and joined the revolution. He was only happy for his disciples. ]
[But why, when a comrade and old friend of several years joins the revolutionary army, he has mixed feelings in his heart. ]
["I once talked with Mr. Roja once in the Water 7. Just once, I knew that he was the man destined to change the world."]
["Why didn't you choose to join the revolutionary army? Garp, isn't what you pursue justice for the common people? Isn't it the nobles who wantonly trample on others that you hate?" Roger spoke, his eyes seemed to be able to see through Garp's heart. ]
["What are you hesitating about? The bond between comrades? Loyalty to Marines? Can't give up the status brought by Marine? Or can't give up the glory of the so-called Marine hero who has worked hard for decades?"]
["If you are pursuing true justice, don't let these things constrain you. Some things constrain you, and you also constrain a large number of young Marines who are pursuing true justice."]
[Roger's voice seemed to be getting farther and farther away, leaving Garp standing there blankly, holding the two pieces of information tightly in his hands. ]
[Until Bogart came to Garp and told him that the Roger Pirates had left. ]
["I know." Garp sighed, and shattered the two pieces of information into pieces. ]
["Zephyr."]
[ Garp whispered. ]
[At this moment, no one knows what Vice Admiral, the hero of Marine, is thinking about at this moment. ]
[At the same time, with the release of the World Economic News, although the Mariejois incident has not yet spread, the incident of Admiral Zephyr joining the revolutionary army has already caused an uproar around the world. ]
["Zephyr, how is it possible?"]
[“Unexpectedly, Zephyr Admiral actually joined the revolutionary army. ”]
["Teacher Zephyr?"]
[Marine’s troops performing missions outside are all informed at this moment, regarding Admiral Zephyr's separation from Marine. ]
[However, at this moment, basically everyone was just shocked, but no one scolded or insulted Zephyr for this behavior. ]
[Because Zephyr’s character is obvious to all in the entire Marine. ]
[Different from Fleet-Admiral Kong's high superiority, different from Admiral Sengoku's calmness and even coldness, and different from hero Garp's indifference, Zephyr is among the top leaders of Marine, The veteran who is the most stable and closest to the soldiers at the bottom. ]
[He dedicated everything to Marines, this is seen by everyone, and no one can blame him. ]
[What's more, the reputation of the Revolutionary Army among Marines is not bad. The preferential treatment and the release of Marine prisoners in the Flevance incident played a very good role. In addition, The justice of this slave emancipation itself. ]
[There was even a huge turmoil within Marine. What Zephyr's withdrawal brought about was a long-standing dissatisfaction with the privileges and darkness of the Marines of many peoples within Marine. ]
[This force is not weak, and there are many of them at the level of the Vice Admiral. They have more or less received help from Zephyr, or they are simply marine soldiers brought out by Zephyr. ]
[They hate Marine's weakness and believe that Marine's weakness towards the Celestial Dragons led to Zephyr's departure. ]
[A considerable number of moderate doves and Marines who pursue justice are shaken by Marine's justice and want to quit Marine and follow Zephyr. ]
[Some extreme hawks believe that the current Marine strength is not weak. They are not slaves of the Celestial Dragons and do not need to obey the Celestial Dragons. They should have more attributes. In Marine's own power. ]
[This kind of turmoil started because of Zephyr, but the essence does not lie with Zephyr. Zephyr's departure is just a trigger. This storm is destined not to calm down so easily. Just like the anti-slavery movement is beginning to rise vigorously in the world now. ]
