"Isn't your Yugakure Ninja Village too dark? Is this broken ship worth eight million ryo?"
At the dock of the shipyard, Hozuki Suigetsu exaggeratedly complained loudly: "Besides, wooden sailing ships are not worth fifty years. Was it eliminated before?"
It was evening at this time, and the orange-red sunset was half-immersed in the sea. A double-track wooden sailboat more than 20 meters long was parked in the port, casting a slender shadow to the east.
Giyu's dark eyes were covered by shadows, making it difficult to see clearly.
But Kamuchi, the senior Yugakure Ninja responsible for the connection, glanced over and suddenly felt a chill on his neck, as if a group of spiders were scurrying away behind his neck.
"This, this..."
Kamuchi, who had been at the base for so many years, couldn't help but touch the cold sweat on his forehead.
Even when he faced the angry Lord Danzo after his mission failed, he had never been so nervous.
He always felt that if he told even one lie today, he would probably end up dead.
"This was originally a performance retro sailboat customized by a nobleman. I also know that you may not be satisfied with it. But according to Mr.Tomioka's request, this is the only boat that can be completed and launched today. This is the result of all the workers at the Rokushu Shipyard working overtime together. Of course, it is not impossible for you to ask for an iron-clad ship, but you will have to wait three or four days at the latest for enough steel to be shipped..."
He said as he stood, Kamuchi's peripheral vision still glanced at Giyu's face from time to time.
For some reason, Kamuchi felt as if his heart was being held by a cold hand, and even his body was completely seen through by the other party.
"But can this wooden boat really reach the Kingdom of Water smoothly? If it encounters a storm or something on the way, it might be blown away by the waves! Not to mention it might be targeted by pirates!"
Hozuki Suigetsu grinned sharply with a sneer on his face: "What? Does Yugakure Ninja Village actually hope that something bad will happen to their benefactor? Is it because if we die, no one will know the truth about last night?"
“No such thing, no such thing."
Kamuchi quickly explained: "Although we are rushing to work, our engineers have also considered this problem, so they have replaced the shell from ordinary wood to a special plate with stronger resistance, which is only slightly worse than that of an ironclad ship. And this kind of plate is fireproof and will not burn even if it is bombarded by pirates.”
"However, this kind of board is very expensive, and generally only the residences or treasure rooms of daimyo and nobles will consider using it for safety reasons. Therefore, although the material cost of this ship is far less than eight million ryo, we should also take three or four million of the labor costs in account, the village is already very sincere. "
"Is that so? "
When Hozuki Suigetsu was still full of doubts, Giyu had already taken action.
"Fire Release·Flame Bullet. "
He put on a few seals in a pretentious manner, puffed out his cheeks, and an orange fireball the size of a human head protruded from his mouth, and hit the port side of the sailboat with a bang.
The intense high temperature was released and spread, and it was distorted in an instant. The surrounding air scared Hozuki Suigetsu and Kamuchi quickly backed away.
Only Ranmaru in the wheelchair could not dodge. As the heat wave hit, the ends of his hair were slightly curled, and there was also a faint smell of burnt lake.
However, After such a fire attack hit the hull, it only left a black mark.
[The temperature is so high, even from ten meters away...]
Kamuchi was secretly shocked. When the boatman tested the ignition point of the plate, he used a Red iron that had been boiled at more than a thousand degrees and it had not left many traces on it.
But a mere C-level fire release...
This means that the temperature of the fire release that Giyu can use is much higher than that of red iron. It is on a jounin level.
"With this ship, how long will it take to get to the Kingdom of Water? "
Seemingly satisfied with the ship's defense, Giyu did not let Hozuki Suigetsu continue to pester him, but asked in person.
Kamuchi replied: "There are strong winds all the way from here to the Kingdom of Water, so the ship's speed will not be too high. The big ship must make a detour near the islands outside the Water Country. If everything goes well, it will take about three days. "
Giyu understood. It seems that there is no need to wait for a faster armored ship. By the time the armored ship is built, the sailing ship has already arrived.
"Then so be it.”
He walked behind Ranmaru's wheelchair, held the back of the chair and said softly: "Let's go. "
Ranmaru had no objection and nodded lightly.
But he had finally escaped from the water country before, and now that he has to go back, it is inevitable that he feels a little emotional.
"Hey, hey, hey, teacher! Just wait a moment! "
Hozuki Suigetsu ducked out of the way and hurriedly stood in front of Giyu. He pointed at Kamuchi and said, "Don't be fooled by this guy! He said 'if everything goes well', but everyone knows that the road from here to the Kingdom of Water will never go smoothly! Especially in this season, it is not normal to encounter storms or anything like that. Once it encounters huge waves, this ship will definitely not be able to hold on! "
Hozuki Suigetsu often takes risks based on his physical characteristics, but in fact he is quite afraid of death.
Especially his water transformation technique is still at the level of "jelly transformation technique". Once he falls into the sea, he can only drift with the tide.
But more than anything, he was worried that if Giyu died in a shipwreck, his unique swordsmanship would be completely lost.
"Especially the mad dog wave hundreds of meters high, which is more terrifying than the most powerful water release in terms of destructive power! This sailboat can't even turn in time, and then we will have to wait for death! Teacher, how about we wait a few more days until the armored ship is built..."
“I had no intention of letting you come with us."
Giyu interrupted him mercilessly, "If you are afraid, just stay here. "
Kyuubi, who was lying on top of Giyu's head, glanced at Suigetsu with an expression that said, "Big brother is very disappointed in you."
"Eh? Don't you need a guide? "
Hozuki Suigetsu didn't expect that he was so unimportant in Giyu's heart, so he quickly tried to persuade him to stay: "When we get to the Kingdom of Water, it's full of mist . Without traitors like me, you will definitely get lost! "
"that……"
Ranmaru scratched his head in embarrassment, "I have been following Raiga on missions in the past few years, so giving directions should not be a problem."
What's more, when he uses red eyes, it doesn't matter if there is heavy mist or not.
"You!" Hozuki Suigetsu was angry, "Aren't you afraid of death? You come from Kirigakure, so you should know how dangerous it is to encounter a storm, right?"
As he said that, he glanced at Ranmaru's legs with a pointed look, "If there is a shipwreck, you will definitely be the first to die!"
"Uh."
Ranmaru wanted to say that he was not afraid. After all, he didn't care much about his own life.
But what's more, he is different from Hozuki Suigetsu - when Giyu used water release to take down the Hoshigaki Kujira, who was best at water release, he was lying behind Giyu, so he knew better what Giyu could do when facing a storm to what extent.
Hoshigaki Kujira could use water release to deal with the storm on the sea, so Giyu must be able to do the same, he had no doubt.
Therefore, the answer given by Ranmaru made Hozuki Suigetsu quite uncomfortable: "It's okay, it should be fine."
Considering that Hozuki Suigetsu is very young, but not strong enough, not as good as Raiga, Ranmaru added heartily: "But it might be better if you don't go."
Hozuki Suigetsu was hit hard, he covered his heart and took a step back, looking at Ranmaru, this "little cripple", in disbelief.
[Despised by the disabled! ]
"Get out of the way."
Giyu pushed Ranmaru's wheelchair forward and said in an unquestionable tone, "Don't waste time."
As indifferent as Giyu's face was, he was so anxious inside, he just wanted to get there as soon as possible.
In addition to worrying about the situation in the Kingdom of Water, it is also because the summer vacation in Konoha only lasts for ten days, and the energy consumed on the road is almost the same. It is a foregone conclusion that they will not be able to get back before school starts.
If he goes back too late, his family will inevitably be worried. Once someone is sent to look for him, the risk of exposure will also increase.
Hozuki Suigetsu looked at Ranmaru and Giyu, who had similar expressions, and then looked at the mocking fox above Giyu. He bit his cheek, pointed at Ranmaru's innocent little face and said, "You have a bad idea about my teacher! As teacher, Number one disciple, I must keep an eye on you, a Vixen who disguises himself as a woman and has evil intentions! It is simply wishful thinking to seduce the teacher with your cute face and learn the magical swordsmanship before me!"
Ranmaru: "I have always worn the same clothes. Men's clothing..."
On the other side, Kyuubi's red tail drooped unhappily, and its tone was a little bad: "Vixen?"
"I was praising him!"
After prevaricating, Hozuki Suigetsu immediately grabbed the wheelchair from Giyu hands and pushed Ranmaru along the plank to board the ship first.
[Seeing how courageous I am, the teacher’s attitude toward me should change, right? ]
When he stepped onto the deck facing Ranmaru, Giyu jumped up, and then immediately separated dozens of water avatars to start working, lowering the mast, tightening the rope lock and preparing to set off.
Kamuchi, who originally wanted to plant a spy in the name of not being a sailor, had to give up when he saw this scene.
"Hey, that person is very hostile to you."
On the deck, Kyuubi squinted its eyes and reminded Giyu very casually, "Just kill him to avoid any conspiracy."
"I know. But He didn't lie about the ship, and I had no reason to take action."
Giyu shook his head slightly and pulled the anchor out of the water from the side of the ship. "The key now is to hurry, and nothing else is important."
"How arrogant Ah kid. Kyojuro didn’t listen to my dissuasion before and he almost fell into trouble."
Kyuubi said it was naturally about the Kingdom of Rain. "Let me remind you, when we reach the sea, the connection between Kyojuro and I and our body will be gone. If it is completely interrupted, more chakra will be consumed. If you want to say anything to Kyojuro, do it now."
“Then let Kyojuro help me write a letter to Naruto and Sasuke, just tell Him he have to go back later, so they don't have to worry."
Thinking of these two children seemed to make Giyu feel slightly relaxed for a moment.
The setting sun shone on Giyu's face, like a flame trying to melt an eternal ice.
"Hmph, I don't know what's so good about that brat that makes you worry about him so much!"
Kyuubi snorted unhappily.
In its mouth, "kid" usually refers specifically to Naruto without adding an attributive word.
"By the way, if you know what's going on at Kyojuro's side, you should also be able to see Naruto."
Giyu glanced over his head, "How is he doing there? How is he getting along with Sasuke?"
"It's been all day. It's just a fight between children, it's meaningless, not even blood was shed."
Kyuubi lay down bored, holding its cheek with its forelimbs like a sleeping beauty, "But after you left, there were more people around him. Why? Like? Are you unhappy? There are many people who are willing to accompany him even if you are not there?"
"People around him?" Giyu was confused.
"Ah. That little white-eyed girl brings her sister and vegetables to the door every day to eat."
Kyuubi recounted the situation at Naruto's side, "She originally wanted to give him money, but the brat didn't want it, and instead asked her to teach him some Taijutsu in return. It seems that in the future, the double training between him and your twin brother will become three people."
[But judging from the current situation, I really don't know who is the light bulb. ]
"This is a good thing."
Giyu nodded approvingly. It seems that it won't be long before Hyuga Hinata can have a normal conversation with Naruto even if he is not in the middle.
"It's not all a good thing."
Kyuubi's voice changed and his tail started to wag leisurely.
"Starting from this morning, there were suddenly two jonins near that brat."
Before Giyu could ask, Kyuubi continued: "Those are two chakras that I have never seen before. They should not be the ANBU directly under the Hokage before. Of course, maybe they are newcomers."
Giyu's jaw tightened and his face darkened: "You didn't do anything to attract the Hokage's attention, right?"
"Huh?!"
After hearing this, Kyuubi became very angry and jumped from Giyu's head to the ground. On the edge of the sailboat.
"I am not a human being like you who betrays others' trust casually!"
This is what Nine-Tails is most dissatisfied with Giyu - this kid is obviously very strong, but he is particularly insecure. He is always wary of it, just like it seemed like it could come out of Naruto's belly at any time and destroy Konoha again.
On the contrary, Kyojuro showed unconditional trust like an old man from the first day he saw it.
Comparing the two, Giyu's attitude towards him was even more irritating.
"So..."
Giyu remembered Kyojuro's warning to him before leaving. Just as he was about to apologize, Kyuubi had already climbed up the mast. It was obvious that it did not intend to communicate with Giyu again in the short term.
On the other side, Hozuki Suigetsu, who had been wary of Ranmaru just now, took the helm and chatted with Ranmaru. It seemed like they were having a good time.
[So good. ]
Giyu looked at the two children who were chatting happily, and drove the sailboat out of the port.
As soon as they left the shore, the sea breeze blocked by the building immediately found its target. The huge white sails inflated like a giant's lungs, driving the ship to gradually increase speed.
[It’s a good idea to take him on board and ask him how to chat with others. After all, Shinobu seem to get angry easily. ]
The setting sun sinks further, and the sailboats that have become a silhouette are retreating away from the afterglow. The coast of Yugakure Ninja Village, which is still under reconstruction, is getting further and further away.
When the buildings in Yugakure Ninja Village were almost unreal, Giyu took off the lacquered wooden box he carried with him and opened it.
A head with strange patterns on its face and a head full of white hair was lying inside with its mouth gagged with tape - it was Hidan's head.
"We have left Yugakure Ninja Village now. I will take off the tape on your mouth."
Giyu frowned and said solemnly: "But if you ask me to join your religion again, I will throw the last part of you into the sea, do you understand?"
Hidan blinked twice hard.
Giyu ripped off the tape with a swipe, and before Hidan could complain, he immediately asked: "You said before that the evil god you believe in has five brains and seven hearts. What do you mean?!”
