🕑 Added 2024-01-22 02:52:50 +0000 UTCChapter 97 "Born to Death"
Inside the inn in Yugakure ninja Village.
Hozuki Suigetsu kept rubbing it with his fingers, carefully feeling the cut of the broken blade, and his expression kept changing like gradually heated water -
This face changed from disappointment and regret at the beginning, to doubt and curiosity, and then turned into a child's discovering the excitement of a new toy then intensified.
"Teacher, how did you do it?"
He pointed the cross section of the blade at Giyu.
"The feel of this section does not look like it was broken with great force, otherwise it would not be so smooth. According to theory, your tattered chakra blade should be far less strong than Thunder Sword, Right."
It's incredible.
The seven ninja swords of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen are the greatest wealth of Kirigakure Village. Each one is worth tens of millions individually, and its quality is evident.
Among them, the Thunder Swords are chakra weapons specially used to guide and amplify lightning. It must be able to withstand extremely high temperatures, so its hardness is also the first to bear the brunt, but now it looks like this.
Therefore, Hozuki Suigetsu cannot but be curious.
"I'm not your teacher."
Giyu emphasized this for an unknown number of times.
However, after stressing, he still patiently answered Hozuki Suigetsu's doubts.
He stretched out his right hand and put his index and middle fingers together. A transparent water blade with an edge that was rolling like a chainsaw suddenly appeared and made a hissing sound.
Hozuki Suigetsu seemed to understand something, and immediately handed the half of the thunder blade with the handle towards the water blade, and then he saw as expected - the water blade rolling at high speed on the edge, actually slowly passed from the Thunder Sword. It cut in and kept making harsh neighing noises, as if the broken blade was wailing in pain.
During the battle last night, the Kurosuki Raiga with Thunder Swords could use the weather to perform large-scale thunder release, which caused a lot of trouble for Giyu at first.
But with the Water Breathing: Eleventh Form: Dead Calm, Tidal Waves, no matter how powerful the Thunderbolt hits Giyu, it will only be decomposed into chakra to replenish Giyu chakra.
In desperation, Kurosuki Raiga had to fight in close combat with Giyu, but his ninja sword skills were really terrible.
The two of them fought less than three times, and he could only barely defend himself by raising his two swords. It was at that time that the Thunder Sword was cut (sawed) in pieces due to the force of resistance with Giyu's water blade.
The next second, Kurosuki Raiga lost his life.
Back to the present.
Seeing the scene in front of him, Hozuki Suigetsu dropped his Thunder Sword on the ground like he was throwing away garbage, pointed at Giyu's right hand and said loudly: "Teacher, I want to learn this!"
As long as he thinks of his opponent when he fights with others, The desperate expression when the weapon was destroyed made Hozuki Suigetsu feel a sense of joy for no reason.
One day ago, his dream was to master the seven ninja swords like his brother Hozuki Mengetsu, and learn various cool techniques for dismantling the enemy's body.
But now -
"When I learn this technique, I must use it to destroy all seven ninja swords! In this way, Kirigakure's most precious inherited treasure will be cut off! This is something that I should cut off!"
Hozuki Suigetsu used all four legs to crawl up to Giyu with a smile on his face, as if he was about to give the latter a shoulder massage.
"Teacher, I don't want this sword anymore. I don't know how to do thunder release anyway, so why don't you keep it, you can exchange it for money! But as a reward for your disciple, how about you teach me this technique? Before I learned it, I won't bother you to teach me other techniques anymore."
"You really don't have any dignity at all..."
Kyuubi, who was lying on Giyu's head, looked at Suigetsu and complained.
Hozuki Suigetsu waved his hands indifferently: "In this world, strength is dignity! My eldest brother talks about this every day. A guy with only dignity cannot survive in Kirigakure Village!"
Giyu looked at it. With the water blade at his fingertips, he looked at Hozuki Suigetsu's longing face, thought about it carefully, and finally nodded.
"This is a reward for your help before. It has nothing to do with the 'disciple's gift'. In any case, I will not teach you my sword skills." Giyu emphasized again, "The rest of our journey is very dangerous, you'd better leave!"
"Teacher, it's whatever you say."
Hozuki Suigetsu received a satisfactory reply, with a warm face and an expression that said I won't be hurt no matter what you say.
"As for the Kirigakure Village, how could you find it without someone to lead the way? I will bring you, teacher, all the way to Mizukage, and then watch you kill him or be killed by him. As a disciple, This what I should do! As for the danger, my elder brother sent me to Yugakure ninja Village just to help me avoid danger, but what happened? If you hadn't appeared in time, teacher, I would have almost had my liver ripped out and eaten... ...After much thought, Kirigakure Village is safer!"
“..."
[It's really easy to talk about it. ]
Giyu was speechless, and secretly envied Hozuki Suigetsu's gift of chatterbox.
At this time, his mental exhaustion had already reached the critical point, and he didn't want to tangle with the other party anymore, so he took out the "textbook" notes Itachi had prepared for him when he was learning water release from the scroll, and took the first page from the loose-leaf buckle.
"Since you insist on following, just learn by yourself. If you don't understand, come and ask me."
"Oh!" Hozuki Suigetsu happily took the piece of paper and glanced over it roughly.
The smooth font on the front is Uchiha Itachi's basic analysis of this technique, including the order and rhythm of the seals, as well as some knowledge of the nature and shape changes of chakra.
The printed fonts on the back are the "homework" of Giyu's study. Including the trajectory of this technique in the chakra meridians and the tips for changing its form.
All in all, regarding the principles and operation methods of Water Blade Slash, this paper is much clearer than the Second Hokage's Water Release Scroll.
Even Hozuki Suigetsu didn't expect that Giyu would be so healthy.
"Teacher! I will definitely learn this technique as soon as possible!"
[I hope you can spend more time...]
After doing all this, Giyu resisted the urge to yawn, lifted the Kyuubi off his head, and placed it on the table.
"What are you doing?!" Kyuubi roared angrily.
It’s obvious that I have just started to feel comfortable!
It feels like a human being is forcibly pulled out of a warm quilt in winter.
"It will take a while before the ship is built. I have to rest."
Giyu explained expressionlessly, but with the deep dark circles under his eyes, it was particularly convincing, "Before we go to sea, if you want to buy Hurry up and buy the things you need."
As he said that, he put the water release notebook in his arms, then took off the storage scroll and rolled it towards Hozuki Suigetsu.
"If you must go to the Kingdom of Water with us, just buy some supplies for me; as for the things you want to buy, just treat them as a reward."
At this point, Giyu suddenly remembered something and added: " Well, my twin brother likes reading comic books. If there are any special comics here, please buy some for me and put them together with the other books in the scroll."
Anyway, it's a way to go, so I might as well ask this kid, after all, he is about the same age as Sasuke, so he should know what type of comics Sasuke likes.
"No problem! I promise to complete the mission!"
Hozuki Suigetsu immediately patted his chest, so hard that his jelly-like body dented. "Teacher, leave everything to me! Please rest assured and rest!"
Giyu was unable to refute. He stood up and pulled the sliding door to the inner room and walked in..
Hozuki Suigetsu had sharp eyes, and he immediately noticed that there was a person with purple hair lying on the floor in the back room. He should be the child rescued by the teacher from Kurosuki Raiga.
As the sliding door closed, Hozuki Suigetsu also withdrew his gaze, unfolded the scroll and poured out all the items classified as "books".
Hozuki Suigetsu originally wanted to see if there were any villain books that he could refer to, but he didn't expect that he couldn't find the villain books, but instead he had many unexpected gains.
For example, the two books at the top, "Record of Major Events of Konoha's Past Hokage" and "Seals: Simplification and Efficiency", are written by Hiruzen Sarutobi and Tobirama Senju respectively.
Even if you are not a ninja, you must know these two most important names in the world, not to mention Hozuki Suigetsu.
"Oh, these are school textbooks. The teacher is actually a student of Konoha Ninja School. No wonder he always says that he is not a ninja. I didn't expect him to be so good. He doesn't forget to review when he is out playing. He is really hard working."
Kyuubi jumped onto Suigetsu's shoulder, speechless at Giyu's secrecy.
Anyone who sees these textbooks with obvious stances will guess that he is a student of Konoha Ninja School!
In this case, what is the use of the pseudonym "Tomioka Giyu"?
But Kyuubi turned around and thought, these books were forced in by Sasuke, and maybe the paralyzed kid had forgotten about these a long time ago.
What a careless guy! On the contrary, Rengoku Kyojuro, who looks carefree, is actually as considerate as his hair.
"Well, why is this book covered with a book cover?"
Among the dozen textbooks, a special existence suddenly attracted Hozuki Suigetsu's attention, "Is it the subject that the teacher especially treasures and reads often, is that why it is covered with a book cover?"
But as the cover was opened, Hozuki Suigetsu's eyes suddenly lit up!
Kyuubi also showed an astonished expression!
Unexpected! Unexpected!
This little guy with facial paralysis who looks so serious could actually hide this kind of adult magazine secretly! He even wrapped the book cover with a guilty conscience!
"Is this the teacher's hobby? No wonder he looks so mature. It turns out it's because he likes to read 'adult books'."
Hozuki Suigetsu flipped through the book very quickly. It was obviously not the first time he had read this kind of thing, but He prefers to kill people and has little interest in swimsuit girls.
At this time, what flashed in his eyes was not the curiosity of a prepubescent boy about the opposite sex, but a special touch of cunning.
"You must not judge a person's preferences purely based on appearance.”
" However, the standards of the magazines in the Land of Fire are still too conservative. It’s hard to get to Yugakure ninja Village, so how can we go back without bringing some specialties? When the teacher discovers the gift I prepared for him, he will definitely feel happy! By that time, he might be moved and teach me everything! "
Thinking of this, Hozuki Suigetsu did not hesitate. After putting away the things, he quickly left the room as if accepting a prize. Only his and Kyuubi's voices came through the crack in the door. "Hey, are you going to do it now? Where to go?”
"Of course I'm going to buy the collection of photo albums of several famous courtesans! "
"Don't forget to wrap the book cover! "
"I know it without you having to tell me! How could I embarrass the teacher? "
...
Meanwhile, inside, Giyu knew nothing about what was happening outside.
He pressed the bridge of his nose, slowly walked to the purple-haired boy with his eyes closed, and sat down on his knees, looking like a corpse. Sweep from top to bottom.
"You're awake. "Giyu was a little surprised.
The child's body was so weak. At first glance, there was no difference between being awake and sleeping.
Ranmaru, who had been exposed, opened his eyes, and his cute face was as numb as withered wood, empty. Looking at the ceiling.
"I just don't know how to face you.”
Even though he said this, Ranmaru still turned his head and said, "I know you killed Raiga, but I don't hate you."
“Raiga and I both knew that this day would come sooner or later, but I didn't expect that the one who killed him was not the Kirigakure ninja that we had been worried about. "
At this point, Ranmaru asked doubtfully: "It's just that I don't understand, why don't you kill me too?”
" You are different. "
Giyu replied expressionlessly, " I Killed Kurosuki Raiga because his thunder release is too harmful. If I don't kill him, more people will be killed last night. I didn't kill you because you have no ability to harm others. "
"Is that so?" Ranmaru lowered his eyelids in disappointment.
"It's just that Raiga is dead. I, a useless person, have neither a way nor a reason to live."
At this point, he raised his eyes and looked at the blade on Giyu's waist. He was about to speak, but saw Giyu suddenly and without warning lying on the floor next to him.
Two pairs of equally dull eyes exchanged glances like this.
"I know what you are going to say."
Giyu said slowly: "Ten hours ago, a Kirigakure ninja named Kaguya Kamochi asked me to do the same thing."
Hearing this, Ranmaru's face turned slightly pale Bloody: "Then did you agree to do it?"
Giyu did not answer, but felt an indescribable anger that was gradually overwhelming his exhausted body and spirit.
What kind of past could make a child less than ten years old burst out with such strong vitality when he begs for death?!
Is this also a manifestation of "living towards death"?
For the first time, lifelessness actually sounded like a compliment.
"I'm too tired."
Giyu felt dizzy, lying on his side and closing his eyes.
"Just like you, now... I no longer have the strength to lift the sword."
As silence fell, Giyu fell into a deep sleep very quickly.
Ranmaru froze in place.
For a long time, he struggled to support his upper body with his arms and reached out to grab the sword on Giyu's waist.
However, when he reached halfway, a gust of wind blew in through the gap in the window, and Ranmaru's delicate body suddenly shivered.
He retracted his hand, looked at Giyu who didn't even take a breath, sighed, and slowly moved the quilt covering himself.
