Uchiha Giyu chapter 80
🕑 Added 2024-01-05 03:40:04 +0000 UTCChapter 80 Getting ready to go (Part 3)
Late at night, Naka River Falls.
The huge white moon hangs high in the sky, and from time to time there are clouds and mists that are either as misty as yarn or as thick as cotton, floating by, rendering the entire valley sometimes dim and dark, sometimes transparent and bright.
Also appearing and disappearing was a figure practicing swordsmanship with a wooden sword in the open space in front of the waterfall.
As the cloud shadows drifted by, Giyu's figure completely disappeared in the darkness, but reappeared in the moonlight the next moment. It was difficult to distinguish between reality and reality.
"Moon Breathing, Fourteenth Form..."
Giyu adjusted his breathing and held the sword in front of his body in a mid-section posture. There was an extremely calm and profound look in his eyes.
Every move of Moon Breathing was custom-made by Kokushibo for his body after becoming a demon. It needs to be used with his six eyes in order to be used perfectly. Therefore, when Giyu is practicing Moon Breathing's swordsmanship, he must enter a state of high concentration and transparency at all times.
However, with just a simple preparation, Giyu had already created an ominous atmosphere in the secluded valley. The worrying darkness seems to have become stronger than usual.
The nearby ninja crows didn't want to get close to him, and only dared to watch from a distance. Although they were covered with feathers, they kept shaking their bodies.
Shisui himself, who had just returned from outside, stood on the top of the pine tree without saying a word, quietly staring at Giyu's movements.
Finally, the preparations were completed, and Giyu took action!
"Catastrophe, Tenman Crescent Moon!"
A sound like thousands of venomous snakes spitting out their tongues and hissing sounded at the same time, making Shishui's body covered with goosebumps.
He could clearly see that at this moment, there were hundreds of Giyu moving in all directions towards him, twisting their bodies and waving wooden swords at the same time, drawing different sword paths one after another. It was as if he was fighting against the enemy at the same time. Hundreds of enemies in close combat!
[Is it an illusion? ]
Shisui opened his Sharingan in confusion and looked down carefully.
Only then did he realize that the hundreds of Giyu were not clones or phantoms formed by some ninjutsu, but the afterimages of the Giyu who moved too fast!
In less than two seconds, he actually completed nearly a hundred slashes in different directions!
Just relying on the wind created when the wooden sword was swung quickly, the pine branches more than ten meters away were broken into pieces.
However, this is just an immature taijutsu version of Giyu.
According to the requirements, one hundred slashes should be completed within one second. And once used in conjunction with chakra, this type will be the ultimate nightmare that can destroy the battlefield!
Of course, the price of a powerful sword type is also obvious.
After the blow, the muscles in Giyu's body that had been violently moved were eager to rest, and sweat rarely flowed from his forehead.
He leaned on the wooden sword to support his body, and slowly adjusted his heartbeat according to the breathing method. He thought about the shortcomings in the previous movements and the areas that could be improved in the next practice.
"This is completely different from the swordsmanship you used before, Giyu."
When Shisui saw Giyu stop, he jumped from the top of the tree and appeared next to Giyu. His sincere admiration was all written in his bright eyes, but there was also some doubt in his tone.
"The swordsmanship you practiced before mostly only had one movement per move, and the range of body movements was very large, as if you had to use all your strength to fight against some more powerful monster. But the one you just practiced, This move is very different from usual. It looks complicated and advanced, but also as meticulous and simple as a chef chopping melons and vegetables. It is a swordsmanship used to eliminate enemies who are weaker than you."
[Look at this swordsmanship. It seems very suitable for Uchiha, but it doesn't fit well with Giyu's temperament. I always feel a bit murderous...]
This is what Shisui kept in his heart but did not say out loud.
After hearing Shisui's evaluation, Giyu nodded in agreement: "You read that right, it's different."
Kokushibo is a demon, and his Moon Breathing Swordsmanship is characterized by extremely high frequency, extremely large range, and extremely suppressive power. Characterized by strength, most of them are used to clear the field with one enemy against many swordsmanship. After all, his target enemies are fragile human beings, so it is not wrong to say that he is chopping melons and vegetables.
On the contrary, the five basic breathing methods derived from Sun Breathing are in the same vein as Sun Breathing. Usually Moon Breathing only has one to several movements, because the target of the swordsman is usually just a single "demon" and there is no need for that nonsense.
Since the enemies are different, it is not surprising that the performance of swordsmanship is very different.
"Oh? Is this a new breathing method?"
Shisui's eyes narrowed happily.
"Every time you come back, you can give me some surprises. Such exquisite swordsmanship, even if you open the Sharingan, there is no way to imitate it."
Giyu solemnly emphasized: "It is a new breathing method, but it has nothing to do with me."
"Okay, okay, it has nothing to do with you."
After hearing this, Shisui felt that if he continued to ask questions, he would definitely get a bunch of Giyu answers that he couldn't understand, so he simply didn't ask about the origin: "I see you... It would disappear in the shadows, and then reappear in the moonlight. It was so mysterious that it made me always wonder if I was under an illusion. So what is the name of this breathing method? Illusion breathing?"
Giyu used force, directly inserted the wooden sword into the stone slab at his feet, then took out a stack of about twenty pieces of paper from his pocket and handed it to Shisui.
"What is this?!" Shisui wondered.
"Return gift." Giyu turned sideways, and the moonlight caught his solemn face.
Shisui: "What a gift in return."
Giyu pointed to the wooden house where he usually studied the water style ninjutsu of the Second Hokage: "You gave me the water style scroll as a gift. I am giving you this as a return gift."
"Huh?!" Shisui raised his eyebrows and was surprised, "I didn't expect that you still remember what happened at that time? Even I can hardly remember it."
More than three years ago, when he asked Itachi to teach Giyu the ninjutsu on the water style scroll, Giyu said he would definitely repay his kindness.
It wasn't until today that that promise was finally fulfilled.
"Honestly, when I heard that you wanted to see me, I thought you were practicing cracking illusions or something like that, so I almost didn't come. I didn't expect such a surprise. I like to receive gifts the most, let me see What a good thing..."
Shisui said as he unfolded the pile of white paper, the curiosity in his eyes became more and more intense, but there was also some faint worry.
[It can’t be a private recipe. If you show a disinterested expression, Giyu will definitely recognize it. Tsk, that book is really harmful...]
The first few sheets of paper were drawn with some simple figures of human body movements, and underneath there were dense annotations written by Giyu.
Shisui looked at each one one by one. His previous curiosity gradually subsided and was replaced by excitement and seriousness.
It wasn't until he saw the [Constant Training Tips] at the back that he took a deep breath, raised his eyes and asked uncertainty: "Is this a complete set of breathing methods?"
“Yes."
Giyu responded: "Moon Breathing . Practicing regularly should be able to improve your grasp of the changes in the nature of yin chakra. You like illusions very much and often use the Sharingan. I think this breathing method should be very suitable for you."
He should give Moon Breathing in return. Giving it to Shisui was something he had thought of three years ago.
Shisui's chakra attributes are fire, wind, thunder, and the yin inherent in the Sharingan.
But except for water breathing, other breathing methods are not qualified to be taught to others.
Water Breathing is too useless for Shisui who fights with illusions. Only this Moon Breathing does not belong to the inheritance of the Demon Slayer Squad, but it is just right for Shisui.
The most important thing is that more than half of the 100,000 points of resolution of Moon Breathing were accumulated by Giyu by removing Shisui's illusion. Taking this as a return gift can be regarded as a little reward, otherwise Giyu will always feel indebted.
"Moon Breathing has a total of sixteen sword styles. You must open the Sharingan before you can practice and use it."
Giyu cautiously instructed: "Of course, you can also practice the breathing method directly without practicing the sword styles. Your mastery of the yin attribute chakra is very strong, Moon Breathing will be very suitable for you, and the progress will not be too slow. But there is one thing you must pay attention to: Never use the breathing method while mobilizing chakra."
Moon Breathing does not absorb natural energy from the moonlight, but from the darkness.
But no matter where it comes from, natural energy is natural energy after all, and Shisui cannot learn to understand it. Once the breathing method and chakra extraction are performed at the same time, it might become something weird.
"I remember it."
[I guess this kid has been practicing swordsmanship for more than three years and specially designed it for me. No wonder it's completely different from the previous one. ]
Shisui's eyes were wet, and he put the stack of papers into his pocket.
Among the gifts I have received over the years, none is more precious than this one because it is one of a kind!
Giyu has a very rich imagination, an idea he and Itachi share.
Giyu has not left the village in these years, and there has never been such swordsmanship in the outside world, let alone in the village.
This breathing method was not figured out by Giyu himself, where else could it come from?
When a ninja reaches the level of Shisui, there is very little room for further improvement in strength, but Moon Breathing provided by Giyu may be the stepping stone for him to move to higher places, so it is precious.
Before Giyu could speak, he added with a smile: "I know, don't teach it to others, right? Don't worry. But between us, we won't say thank you anymore, Giyu."
Then the two of them started talking again. After discussing some details of practicing breathing techniques, they changed the topic.
"I heard Itachi say that you want to go out of the village on your own during this holiday?"
Shisui walked to a rock and sat down, "Are you going to the Land of Yu, and the Fugaku clan leader also agreed?"
“Yes, I agree. Yes."
Giyu nodded.
After burning the lake outside the clan's territory, although he didn't get any praise, he still mentioned his plan to go out for "experience" with his father.
Uchiha is a clan that advocates strength, and Fugaku is a tiger father who can take a four-year-old child to the battlefield. He is not the conservative type of the Hyuga clan, and the strength shown by Giyu is quite unexpected, so Fugaku after little hesitation agreed, but asked that he must not reveal his identity as an Uchiha.
Besides, by letting Giyu go out for a while, he can concentrate on dealing with Itachi's affairs, and Sasuke can stay away from sources of stress and slowly regain his collapsed self-confidence.
However, when Fugaku asked Giyu where he was going, Giyu only gave him the direction: "Northeast of the Land of Fire."
The Kingdom of Water was in this direction, so Giyu was not lying.
Fugaku never thought about the possibility that Giyu would cross the sea. He thought the child wanted to travel to Yu no Kuni, so he told everyone in his family so. Shisui also heard this from Itachi.
Shisui looked into Giyu's eyes suspiciously.
"With your personality, you don't seem to be the kind of person who goes to hot springs. Why did you go to Yu no Kuni? Is it because of Itachi's illness?"
"Do you know about his illness?" Giyu raised his eyebrows.
"Although Itachi didn't tell me, Tsunade-sama was worried that he was young and couldn't think clearly, so she specifically asked me to keep an eye on Itachi."
Shisui's eyes flashed with sadness at first, but then he smiled with relief.
"But what surprised me was that Itachi not only did not feel depressed, but actually thought about it a lot. I don't know whether to be happy or sad for him. But Giyu, if you want to go to the Land of Yu to find Tsunade for this matter, it's too late. It was already half a year ago when we met in the Land of Yu. Even if you found her, she wouldn't be able to come up with a solution in such a short period of time."
Giyu couldn't wait for Shisui. Thinking that he was going to the Kingdom of Yu, he hummed unsurprisingly, but Shisui realized something was wrong.
"Wait a minute..."
He leaned forward, staring into Giyu's eyes from a distance of less than twenty centimeters, and suddenly realized something in his heart.
"Since Itachi told you about his illness, he will not fail to tell you that Tsunade-sama cannot cure him. Do you want to go to the Kingdom of Water?"
"..."
Giyu raised his brows slightly and said in a strong tone: "You just know it yourself. Don't tell anyone else."
“Giyu!"
Shisui straightened his face, "Today's Water Kingdom is almost the Ninja World. It's the most dangerous place. What are you going to do there?"
"I can't tell you."
Giyu didn't want to say more. If Shisui knew that his target might be Kirigakure Village and the Fourth Mizukage, he wouldn't be able to leave.
"..."
Shisui's tear trough looked a little deeper than before, and violent fluctuations passed through his eyes, as if he thought of something again.
"Yes. In this world, apart from Tsunade-sama, only Orochimaru, who knows the Bloodline Limit best, may be able to cure Itachi's disease. You went to the Kingdom of Water to find him, right? According to the Third Hokage, It is speculated that that guy may still be entrenched in the Kingdom of Water, planning to steal the body of a certain Bloodline Limit ninja."
[Huh? ]
[Why didn't Itachi even mention this? ]
Giyu did not show doubts on his face, but his heartbeat at this moment was like the impact of a bell, heavy and powerful.
Itachi previously described his illness as if there was no way out, but Giyu didn't expect to find a clue so quickly.
[Yes, since he is looking for the Bloodline Limit ninja's body to be parasitic, how come he doesn't understand this disease? ]
Shisui saw that Giyu didn't answer, so he took it as acquiescence, and his tone became slightly darker.
"Itachi is your brother, and I didn't stop you from saving him. But Orochimaru, like Hokage and Kakashi-senpai, is proficient in thousands of ninjutsu, insidious and cunning, and is the most difficult character to deal with. That time I easily subdued him. It was because there was something wrong with his body. It does not mean that he is weak.”
"Why don't you wait a moment until I finish this work of kingdom earth? Do you want to go on a national mission with you again?”
"It goes without saying, Shisui. "
Now there is one more reason for Giyu to go to the Kingdom of Water, but it is not the most important one.
"The Kingdom of Water is in the middle of the sea, and there is no place more suitable for me to perform than there. You have been back for two days, so it is not certain that Orochimaru has left the Kingdom of Water. I couldn't wait any longer and had to get there as soon as possible. "
"I see. "
Shisui thought of Giyu's mastery of water style and felt a little relieved.
"In that case, I will tell you some information that you should know during this trip, such as how to deal with Orochimaru…”
"But Giyu , you must make sure to come back safe and sound.”
