The clouds were overcast, and the light rain was like sparse grains of rice, falling one by one on the streets of Yugakure Village.
On the tourist tower of this village, which is famous for its peace and prosperity in the ninja world, twelve Kirigakure ninjas carrying ninja swords and wearing white masks are standing on the top floor looking down, with several people behind them. A Yugakure ninja corpse with broken limbs lying in a pool of blood.
Two tall, broad-shouldered guys stood at the front. The other ten, who seemed to have lower status, were behind these two people, but they were all far apart from each other.
"Lord Raiga, did Mizukage-sama really say that he would take the opportunity to destroy Yugakure Village?"
A short ninja among the ten people asked worriedly: "Country of Yu, the Country of Fire, and Country of Thunder have mutual aid agreements, what is the difference between doing this and directly declaring war with them?"
After the question was raised, he was greeted by an uncomfortable silence. The others didn't say anything, but they were secretly complaining in their hearts -
How many confusing orders has the Mizukage issued in recent years?
Old people like them have stopped asking such unreasonable questions a long time ago.
"Are you doubting me?"
After a few seconds, the tall man named Raiga took off his mask, revealing an exotic face with characteristics of the Land of Thunder - thick lips, green eyes, kelp Colorful hair and natural thick eyeliner.
A pair of knives wrapped in cloth hung on his waist, and a mysterious, half-human-sized tarpaulin bag hung heavily on his back.
He showed a half-smiling expression, pretending to be gentle and affectionate, and looked at the ninja who just spoke.
Short Ninja subconsciously took a step back and touched the ninja sword behind his back. Others could feel his nervousness through the mask.
Not only did he keep a close eye on Kurosuki Raiga's movements, he also carefully looked at the others.
Those present were all Jōnin in the Blood Mist. As long as you gave a justifiable reason after killing your companions, Mizukage-sama wouldn't even care. Therefore, every companion is a potential enemy, and there is no trust at all. .
"Don't be so nervous. I have no plans to hold a funeral for you." A strange smile appeared on Kurosuki Raiga's face, which seemed too feminine compared to his generous figure.
"What did you just say...is this a declaration of war?
"Then Konoha's Shunshin Shisui and the traitorous ninja Orochimaru ran to the hinterland of the Land of Water, doesn't that count as a declaration of war?"
His answer made the Jonin who had just questioned slightly startled.
"During the last ninja world war, the Land of Yu was the springboard for Konoha to counterattack the Land of Water. It has been a long time since the daimyo assigned tasks and allocated funds to the village. This time we came not only to repay Konoha, but also to bring back the materials and wealth of Yugakure Village. Otherwise, do you think that a mere brat is worthy of Lord Mizukage sending twelve Jonin? "
Having said this, Kurosuki Raiga grinned and said loudly and nervously: "Before coming this time, I had made an agreement with the Jashin Cult lurking in the Land of Yu... to make it disappear completely overnight! We want to hold a grand funeral for this bustling village!”
"In a moment, you will dispatch five people to various hotels to find the kid from the Hozuki Clan. He probably won't be hiding here with his true colors. He may be disguised and put on makeup. Go to the hotel and ask if there is any kid who stays here alone, there will probably be clues.”
"As for the others, go to various locations in this village and activate the Kirigakure Technique. You must cover the entire Yugakure Village and make this our home field!"
Kurosuki Raiga looked at the cloudy sky and smiled with satisfaction.
"When the thunder sounds, the people of the Jashin Cult will be dispatched! Tonight, we will make this peaceful village free of chickens and dogs! "
"yes! "Seeing that Kurosuki Raiga actually arranged it like this, the Jonin were a little ready to act, and their bodies were filled with murderous intent.
After receiving the order, the ten jounin left one after another. Only the man next to Kurosuki Raiga remained silent, putting some pressure on the former.
"Hoshigaki Kujira, This mission is an order personally conveyed by Mizukage-sama. As Mizukage's most trusted person. Are you still here because you have any doubts? " ( Gan Kakiha Whale was orginal word used in this fanfiction. I don't who he is so I just translated him into Hoshigaki Kujira. If any of you know who he is just tell me in comments )
Kurosuki Raiga asked with his white teeth exposed, but his hands moved to his lower back unconsciously.
Obviously, the guy in front of him was the only character he truly regarded as his opponent.
"You misunderstood. I'm just thinking that the people who come here tonight are all guys that Mizukage-sama doesn't like very much... There are both Terumi clan members and Kaguya clan members. I wonder how many people will survive after one night. "
The voice of Hoshigaki Kujira was very rough and pessimistic, but he sounded like he was smiling.
As he said that, he stepped out of the fence on the top of the tower.
"Then I'll take my leave first, Raiga. I hope to see you alive tomorrow morning. "
Then, before Raiga could reply, he jumped down from the edge and disappeared without a trace.
"...This guy. "
Kurosuki Raiga gritted his teeth. After being silent for half a minute, his expression turned from gloomy to clear. He quickly opened the tarp bag behind him.
Inside the bag, there was a beautiful boy with purple hair and red eyes wearing a breathing mask. .
Since crossing the sea, this child has been carried on his back.
"Ranmaru, how are you? "
Raiga turned his head and adjusted the cloth bag to his side and back so that he could see the other person's eyes.
"It's okay. "The boy named Ranmaru looked tired and smiled reluctantly, with a red light flashing in his eyes.
"The man named Hoshigaki Kujira has not gone far and he is still monitoring you. "
"I got it. This clan is Yagura’s most loyal lackeys. "
Raiga was not surprised. Instead, he said quite confidently: "When the mist rises later, we will take the opportunity to leave. It doesn't matter if they fight with Yu shinobi to death! If it's just Hoshigaki Kujira, don't worry about him. Today I chose the rainy day after a long time. Let alone him, even if Hoshigaki Kisame comes here, he will not be my opponent."
It turns out that the arrangements for Yugakure Village were of course ordered by the Fourth Mizukage. But it also facilitated Raiga's defection plan!
Although he is one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen whom the Mizukage most "trusts", even the former wielder of the Samehada, Suikazan Fuguki, the absolute loyalist of Kirigakure Village, was said to be a collaborator and executed. Mizukage's Hozuki clan was directly exterminated.
If he continues to stay in this crazy village, he will die. This was not the ending he wanted.
"Ranmaru, I have already thought about it. We are going to all the beautiful places to let you have a good look at this ninja world. When we get tired of it, we will find a rich and hidden deep mountain to claim the title of king.!"
Although Kurosuki Raiga's words were a bit disgusting, Ranmaru's eyes on his back were filled with emotion, and he decided not to tell him the truth about the power of Hoshigaki Kujira, so as not to damage Raiga's confidence.
"Yeah!" Ranmaru nodded heavily.
"Alright, let's get started."
Looking at the heavy mist that spread throughout Yugakure Village below, Raiga raised the corners of his mouth with satisfaction, and then raised his two blades high into the sky. The cotton cloth wrapped around them looked like cicada sloughs. It quickly fell off, revealing the forked cold-sharp blade.
The dark clouds on the top of Yugakure Village seemed to have been ordered. They changed from slowly floating to rolling, squeezing and rubbing at a thousand times speed, making dull noises!
Bright flashes of light echoed in the clouds, as if announcing the coming bloody night.
at the same time.
The Hozuki Suigetsu that the mist ninjas are looking for is experiencing the beginning of this unforgettable night.
Giyu was wearing a cute fox headdress, his face was as rigid as a corpse, and he stared at the white-haired boy in front of him as motionless as a corpse. His eyes narrowed in a rare way, as if he had seen something that troubled him.
As if feeling the moisture in the air around him oppressing him, Hozuki Suigetsu broke out in a cold sweat on his forehead.
The last time he felt this way was two years ago when he was running blindly in the mist village, bumped into Hoshigaki Kujira, and heard the other person's dry and sinister smile.
[I feel like I’ll be beaten to death if I stay here! ]
Thinking of this, Hozuki Suigetsu made a sound in his throat, and regardless of whether Giyu planned to forgive him, he simply turned around and ran away!
[This guy looks stupid! He must not be fast! ]
He complained in his mind while running away from Giyu quickly, running away from a distance of more than ten meters in the blink of an eye.
When Hozuki Suigetsu saw the street corner not far away, endless hope filled his eyes.
Until Giyu's voice sounded in his ears: "Please stop."
"Oh my God!"
Hozuki Suigetsu was so frightened that he yelled, stumbled, and fell towards the wall next to the street - but injuries like banging or swollen head he imagined did not happen.
When his head came into contact with the wall, it immediately became transparent, as elastic as a piece of gel. Giyu, who originally thought he was going to use Mistic Palm to heal him, stopped, but his eyes became colder than before.
Kyuubi felt the malice rising from Giyu, which was a bit inexplicable. He didn't think this brat was the kind of person who would be angry because he was robbed, not to mention that the robbery looked like a farce from beginning to end.
As Hozuki Suigetsu stood up, his hands and torso were immediately wrapped in a whip of water.
Giyu came over with a stern expression, pressed Hozuki Suigetsu's shoulders, and pressed him against the wall.
Not only did Hozuki Suigetsu want to cry, he almost melted. He looked around nervously and reminded with some trepidation: "Hey, hey, hey! Handsome guy with facial paralysis, it is illegal to use this kind of ninjutsu in this village. Ok!"
"That depends on whether you are a human or not."
Giyu's words made both Hozuki Suigetsu and Kyuubi feel dizzy and didn't know where to start.
"W-what do you mean?"
Hozuki Suigetsu felt that Giyu's eyes were slowly brushing over his internal organs like human fingers, and his nose almost fell off his face.
"I asked you if you are human?"
Giyu asked again.
"Of course I am!!"
Hozuki Suigetsu found that the other party's eyes were focused on his row of fine fangs. He thought he understood the reason for Giyu's question, and suddenly he got angry and started to complain.
"You're not from the land of water, are you! Teeth with the shape of mine are very common in our country! It's because you are ignorant, so you can't say that I'm not a human being! This is naked discrimination!"
"Then What's going on with your body? It doesn't feel the same as a normal person..."
It's not surprising that Giyu was suspicious of Hozuki Suigetsu.
Because from the perspective of [Transparent World], Hozuki Suigetsu's muscles, bones, and internal organs are completely different from humans. That state is more like a gel-like substance between flesh and water, which can be kneaded and flattened at will.
In short, no part of Hozuki Suigetsu's body is truly solid.
Hozuki Suigetsu rolled his eyes, thinking that Giyu was referring to what happened when his head just hit the wall and bounced back.
"This is a family secret technique that I practice! Originally, when I hit the wall, my head should turn into water, but I can't do that yet, so it looks like a pile of jelly!" He explained in a panic!
This is also the reason why he can't break free from the water whip.
Giyu blinked his eyes: "Turn into water?"
"I'll stop this technique first! You'll understand."
Hozuki Suigetsu stopped the water transformation technique, and the feeling of being brushed against his internal organs just now came again. .
Giyu once again observed him with transparency.
This time, Hozuki Suigetsu's body was no different from that of ordinary people. However, this also means that if he lies now, Giyu can observe it.
So -
"Have you ever eaten a human being?"
Giyu's question was like a bomb dropped into Hozuki Suigetsu's mind.
[It’s over! It’s over! This guy is completely insane! Why did I listen to that guy and come to this village? ]
"Reply." Giyu shook him.
Hozuki Suigetsu almost burst into tears: "Occasionally I want to bake it for myself and try it! But my family only allows me to eat jelly! Because eating other things will be digested into poop, and when I use the hydration technique, I was laughed at!"
This is a side effect of practicing the art of hydration. You cannot eat solid food in a general sense, otherwise there will be strange things in the body after it completely turns into water, which will really hinder observation. Colorless gelatinous foods like jelly are most suitable.
But if it's his eldest brother Hozuki Mengetsu, he can absorb nutrients directly from the water.
【It’s the truth. ]
Giyu nodded and then released the water whip.
But before Hozuki Suigetsu could breathe a sigh of relief, Giyu almost slapped his face, warning in a cold voice: "Absolutely, absolutely can't eat people, do you understand?"
"I know it even if you don't tell me.!Bastard!"
Hozuki Suigetsu used curse words in his pitiful screams, which was really annoying.
"If you don't have anything else to do, I'll leave! It's too dangerous to be with someone like you!"
Seeing that Giyu had no intention of stopping him, Hozuki Suigetsu was about to leave.
At this moment, a burst of thunder suddenly sounded like the sky was exploding from the tallest sightseeing tower in Yugakure Village, and lightning struck down from the sky, illuminating the entire village in pale white.
Giyu followed the sound and found that in the sky, cloud vortices were rolling like waves, but the thunder and lightning that kept falling fell around the high tower, which seemed a bit strange.
"Water Release: Great Water Arm Technique!"
A familiar voice sounded.
Giyu turned around and saw that Hozuki Suigetsu's right arm was several times thicker than before, and the muscles were gnarled. However, the right hand of that thick arm was still holding the hand in which the scabbard of the katana was, which he had just bought just a few minutes ago.
But no matter how hard Hozuki Suigetsu pulled him back, let alone taking the sword, he couldn't even move Giyu's hand at all.
“Don't get me wrong! I'm just giving it a try!"
Seeing that Giyu's expression did not change, Hozuki Suigetsu quickly let go and waved his hand to explain. The next moment, heavy mist came from nowhere and poured out from the street. Hozuki Suigetsu, who was not sure how to escape a second ago, immediately raised the corners of his mouth excitedly, "Let's say goodbye! Never meet again!"
After that, he retreated into the familiar mist.
Giyu shook his head. He originally wanted to ask some questions about the Land of Water, but for now, he could only find another chance.
One person and one fox returned to the hot spring hotel through the heavy mist.
But the moment they entered the door, they opened their eyes warily at the same time, and spoke at the same time.
Giyu: "It smells like blood."
Kyuubi: "There is someone in your room!”
