Uchiha Giyu Chapter 73
🕑 Added 2023-12-29 03:17:41 +0000 UTCChapter 73 The end of daily life
In the hot bathroom, the two brothers were squatting on the two bottom corners of the triangular bathtub.
In order to prevent what was said here from being heard by their parents, the faucet kept pouring hot water into the bathtub, making a gurgling sound.
"I haven't seen you use water release in three years. I didn't expect you to reach such a level."
Itachi watched the water vapor naturally spread to both sides under Giyu's control without any trace, and couldn't help but admired.
"Just like water release is a unique blood inheritance limit for you."
Giyu taught him water breathing. In the past three years, Itachi also practiced water breathing to a regular level.
Although Itachi couldn't extract chakra while using the breathing method, he felt that his mastery of water release was steadily improving every day, and it would naturally be much easier to perform tasks in a place like the Kingdom of Water.
"Don't interrupt."
As soon as Giyu spoke, the scalding bath water dropped by two or three degrees, and the water vapor escaped a little faster.
"How did the doctor named Tsunade explain this disease to you?"
He heard Kyojuro say that he operated on the children who were called "experimental subjects" by the Land of Rain. He is Tsunade's disciple. Rengoku Kyojuro's settlement in Konoha is also her family's ancestral home.
The other party is not only the granddaughter of the First Hokage, but also the most powerful medical ninja in the entire ninja world.
Giyu wanted to hear her explanation first, maybe there were other treatments for Itachi's disease.
Itachi had no choice but to repeat Tsunade's explanation to him: "You know, human chakra is a mixture of mental energy and physical energy. These are two things that every human being is born with."
Giyu His eyes did not change: "Then what?"
"For ordinary ninjas, physical and mental training are carried out at the same time, so their mental energy and physical energy are always in a balanced state.”
"But ninjas with Bloodline Limit are different , especially Bloodline Limit ninjas who are born with too much spiritual energy or physical energy. Their two energies are not very balanced from birth, but it will be extremely obvious in some individuals.
"For example, the Senju clan is famous for their physical strength. There was once such an extreme individual. When he was injured, the wound had already begun to recover, so it was almost impossible to be truly injured or killed. He was regarded as a genius among geniuses. But because such a person's physical energy is too abundant and he loses control of his mental energy, he used up the number of cell divisions that his cells can divide in decades and died quickly in just a few years.”
" For example, among the Kurama clan, all clan members who have awakened their Bloodline Limit will basically remain weak and sickly throughout their lives. This is because excess mental energy interferes with the normal operation of the body. "
"Primary Evolution"
Itachi paused here, "Now it seems that I am in the latter situation. Tsunade-sama said that my mental energy is inherently stronger than my physical energy. I have been in this imbalance for a long time since I was a child, which is why I became ill. Over the next few years, my body will continue to weaken until I die. "
He said the word "death" very calmly, and he didn't seem to take it too seriously.
"Although the breathing method you taught me can strengthen the body very quickly, my body has been damaged. The upper limit is If you leave it there, no matter how much you exercise, you won't be able to make up for this imbalance. "
“How many years? "
Giyu asked, "Is there any way to delay the illness? "
"Tsunade-sama said, as few as five years. If I don't use the Sharingan all the time, exacerbating the imbalance between the two energies, there is still hope for ten years. "
After hearing the number ten years, Giyu's expression brightened slightly.
As long as he has time to deal with it.
"No... Mom said, your complexion is actually better than when you came back last time. "
Suddenly, a thought broke into Giyu's mind, and the look he looked at Itachi immediately became very alert.
"Could it be that you actually hope that you die early? "
[ What happened to him to have such a big impact on him?]
"Why do you think so? "
Itachi suddenly couldn't laugh or cry.
But seeing Giyu's serious look like the Second Hokage, he had to explain the change in his mental state.
"The living towards death means that the closer a person is to death, the more likely it is that he will die. Think of what you should do. Half a year ago, after I learned about what I was facing, I finally figured out some things and no longer struggled with those situations in the past. "
With that said, Itachi cleared his throat solemnly, "Giyu, I don't plan to continue being a ninja anymore. "
"Um? "
Following Giyu's question, the originally rippling water surface completely calmed down, as if the wrinkled sheets were being gently smoothed by hand.
Considering that the faucet was still filling the bathtub, this scene seemed particularly abnormal.
“As long as I am a ninja, facing premature lives and mutilated bodies all day long, living in a state of stress and tension, the world will always be dangerous, and anyone in my eyes may be a potential enemy. With such hostile thoughts, you cannot truly understand the world and the meaning of life. "
Itachi seemed to have walked into a suddenly enlightened plain, his eyes shining brightly.
"So I plan to use the remaining time to go to those scenic spots and historic sites, to those legendary places, to find the mythical place a thousand years ago. What is the world like without the Sage of Six Paths? If humans at that time had no chakra, how would they survive?”
"I have always asked these questions in the past. Now that I know for sure that I am not going to die soon, but no one else can give me the answers, I plan to find out for myself."
"What about your illness?"
Giyu was not affected by the longing in Itachi's tone, nor was he surprised by his idea of "not being a ninja".
Although he was someone who had seen countless corpses, he just wanted to know how to keep Itachi alive.
"Are you just going to leave it alone? Then when are you going to tell father, mother, and Sasuke about this?"
Facing Giyu's question, Itachi was already prepared.
"Since Tsunade-sama can't treat it. what's the point of telling the rest of the family except to make them worry in vain?"
Itachi looked at Giyu with a consulting look, "You are much more mature than Sasuke, you should understand what I mean. If they silently count down to my death every day, this family will be completely destroyed."
Giyu fell silent.
Although he would not take the initiative to lie, concealing something is another kind of lie.
Until now, Uchiha Gan and Cui thought that the murderer of Flame and Wen was dead, and the clan also accepted this fact.
But for three years, Giyu suffered from this every day, looking for suspicious evidence and connections day after day.
Now he had to hide such a big secret from his family, how could he do it with peace of mind.
"I will find a way to cure you."
Giyu made a promise to himself and also made a promise to Itachi.
"Three years, if I still can't find a way to treat you within three years, I will tell our family about your illness.
"If you have to die, I can't leave them unprepared. "
“..."
Itachi looked at Giyu's serious expression. Although he knew that there was little hope of curing the blood disease, he still felt warm in his heart.
"Thank you, Giyu."
He was not only grateful for Giyu's willingness to work hard to keep him alive, but also for Giyu's willingness to conceal this matter for him.
But no matter how he looked at it, this secret could only be kept for three years at most.
Just when Itachi wanted to change the subject, let When the "stagnant water" in the bathtub started to ripple again, the bathroom door suddenly opened!
"You didn't even wait for me!"
I saw a tender white pig, naked, running from the door to the bathtub, and then like a leaping seal, it plopped down between the two of them, causing a huge splash of water that went straight to the ceiling. Then Mikoto's scolding voice came from outside the door.
"Sasuke! You have to rinse first before entering the bathtub. "
Sasuke stuck his head out of the water and stuck out his tongue playfully, "It's too late. "
“Not too late. "
Giyu looked serious, reached out and tapped Sasuke's shoulder, and activated the ninjutsu.
"Water Release·Water Prison Technique. "
The next second, Sasuke was wrapped in a bubble made of a water curtain and floated up. He exclaimed and moved out of the bathtub, like a white mouse in a glass cover.
Then, the bubble shrank, allowing him to poke out Come to the head.
"What are you doing?! Put me down quickly, Giyu! "
Sasuke yelled in a hurry, feeling like an exhibit floating in mid-air, very ashamed.
Giyu raised his hand, and the bubbles were filled with water out of thin air.
"Wash well! "
Giyu gave an order, and the water in the bubbles surrounded Sasuke's body, spinning at high speed like a drum washing machine, making a buzzing sound, constantly rinsing and cleaning Sasuke's skin.
“Ahhhhhhhhhh Ahhh——"
Sasuke's head outside of the Water Prison Technique was also spinning, and he became dizzy after a while.
Itachi showed a look of surprise, amazed by what Giyu could do with water release.
As we all know, the Water Prison Technique is a very powerful torture-type ninjutsu. But it has one of its biggest weaknesses, which is that the caster must make physical contact to perform it, but Giyu's water prison in front of him is not affected at all. Although his chakra level has not reached its peak, I'm afraid no one can do this kind of meticulous manipulation of water.
But soon, he dissuaded him with some worry: "Giyu is almost done, Sasuke's skin is starting to turn red..."
This water It's too harsh to pick someone up.
"Oh. "
Giyu nodded, unlocked the water prison, stretched out a water whip and grabbed Sasuke, who was staring at stars, into the bathtub.
After the latter finally recovered from the dizziness, he immediately stretched out his hands in anger and grabbed Giyu's neck. : "Giyu! I'll fight you! Brother, come and help me! I'm no match for him! "
“Okay, let me help you."
Itachi followed him and rushed towards Giyu.
Outside and in the room, Fugaku and his wife heard the movement in the bathroom, looked at each other with relief, and slowly drank the tea in their hands. .
“If only every day was like today. "
Mikoto sighed like this.
In the past, Fugaku would have retorted with the pride of the clan or the responsibility of the ninja.
But today he just replied: "That's right. "
Then he pressed his somewhat fat belly, "Well, let them come out quickly, then let's eat..."
Two hours later, the family had dinner, and Giyu gave Fugaku the meal as usual. After a plate of snacks was brought, the family got down to business.
"Have you figured it out? Why did Orochimaru attack you? Is it for the Sharingan? "
What Fugaku asked is what the whole family wants to know.
Giyu is particularly interested in the name "Orochimaru" because the eucalyptus that disappeared three years ago is probably related to this person. After all, the Sharingan It's not something that an outsider can get into his hands and just use it.
Also, the monster that Kyojuro discovered that was spying on the Hokage is said to be the work of this person. The monster lurked underground silently and was almost impossible to detect. It was detected, and it fit well with Shisui's description of feeling being watched in the Land of Rain.
"According to his own statement, he is targeting my body, and the Sharingan is just a part of it."
Itachi's answer made Sasuke sweat. Fortunately, Itachi immediately added: "I didn't think about this at first. But after I came back, I went to see Lord Hokage first. According to him, Orochimaru has been studying a secret technique that can occupy other people's bodies since a long time ago. I think he said that he 'desired' my body. That's what he meant."
"Can you even do this kind of thing? Then all the clan members may be at risk of being attacked."
A cold light flashed in Fugaku's eyes, "Orochimaru is almost fifty years old this year, and his strength How is it?"
"It's very strong, but its weaknesses are also obvious."
Itachi thought about it carefully and said, "I used genjutsu on him. I thought that as one of the Three Sanin, his speed in unlocking genjutsu should be about the same as Giyu's. But in fact he was only at the level of an ordinary jounin. After Shisui rushed to my position, he just glanced at him and stopped him where he was. But according to the Third Hokage's speculation, that may be his soul and The last body has already begun to fight... Next time I see him, if I want to use genjutsu to deal with him, it may not be that simple."
“Since Shisui took action, how did he escape?" Fugaku asked again.
"It's his unique substitute technique, just like a snake shedding its skin... It's hard to describe, because it was the first time we met and we were not prepared, so he was able to escape."
“Speaking of which..."
Mikoto asked doubtfully : "Did Orochimaru go to the Kingdom of Water because he knew Itachi was there, or did he meet him by chance?"
"It should be a coincidence."
Itachi shook his head. "During this period, the Kirigakure ninjas are hunting those who have bloodline limit in the Kingdom of Water. Since he is looking for a body that can be parasitized, it is only natural for him to go to the Kingdom of Water."
"Hunting? "
Giyu searched for the key words and frowned slightly.
"Yes. We can't figure out the purpose of doing this. Even the Kirigakure ninja himself can't figure it out. He just said that it was the order of the Fourth Mizukage, so it must be completed."
Itachi looked at Giyu.
"Kirigakure first asked the people of the Kingdom of Water to provide evidence to each other. If they found a village with bloodline limit, they would classify the entire village as hostile elements and wipe them out. When we enter the Kingdom of Water this time, The Daimyo of the Land of Water has made a request to us. It can be seen that even the top management of the Land of Water can't figure out what Kirigakure wants to do."
Giyu fell silent.
He had a hunch that what was happening in the Water Country seemed to be his business.
