"Can you give me an example?"
This question is very abstract, but Giyu intuitively feels that this is a very dangerous question.
If you don't generalize about specific things, it is easy for people to do the wrong thing. Sasuke was still so young, so he felt that it was best not to give casual answers.
"Hmm..."
While Sasuke raised his head and picked his chin to think, Giyu quietly picked up the orange juice and drank it, letting the sourness and the excessive saltiness in the omelette neutralize each other.
"I remembered one."
Sasuke clapped his hands fiercely.
"For example, in the movie I watched last time, the huntress played by Fujikaze Yukie knew that the rebel ninja would kill everyone in that village, so she went to warn them. But no one in the village believed her, and time was very tight, so In order to force these people away, she set fire to their fields and drove them away. This should be considered as an example."
Sasuke said: "Set fire is a small disaster, but killing all the people in the village is a big disaster. In order to avoid a big disaster It should be feasible to create a small disaster, right?"
"What you just said is that it is 'possible' to avoid a larger disaster. But in the example you gave, a big disaster is bound to happen. This huntress knows this very well."
Giyu blinked.
"But if the rebels come or not, her fire will cause the village to have no food for the winter. If everyone starves to death, this small disaster will turn into a big disaster."
Reminiscent of the Rain Village Looking at the current state of the country, Giyu added, "These people did not starve to death. They might become bandits and thieves. If they rob other people's food, the scale of the disaster would be even greater."
"...Yes. "
Sasuke said with some distress: "But she did this out of good intentions."
"It's difficult to resurrect the dead people."
Giyu emphasized, "Everyone is dead, so what's the use of good intentions? Since people can't predict the future, don't act casually."
But people who are too arrogant will regard the scenes they have imagined as the real future...
"That's right."
Sasuke pursed his lips, touched his cheek and thought hard for a while : "Then I can't think of a more appropriate example. I also can't figure out why my brother would ask me such a question..."
Giyu said nothing.
But speaking of examples...
For example, when he first met Nezuko, she had turned into a demon. Although she hasn't eaten anyone yet, as long as Giyu kills her, he can ensure that no one will be eaten by her in the future.
But when he saw her standing up to protect Tanjiro, Giyu still hesitated.
After all, he couldn't do it. Without being sure whether a demon could kill people, he would put it to death. Punishing someone for something they didn't do is not only arrogant, but also overbearing.
After the two brothers were silent for a while, the paper door opposite opened.
"Brother..."
When Sasuke turned around in surprise and saw those eyes surrounded by deep black, he almost thought he had recognized the wrong person.
"Sasuke, Giyu..."
Uchiha Itachi weakly greeted the two of them as if he hadn't eaten for several days.
"Brother!"
Sasuke stood up quickly and helped his arm, "What's wrong with you?!"
" It's nothing. Can I sit here?"
Although he was asking two people, his dead eyes were staring at Giyu.
Until now, he still can't figure out Giyu's attitude towards him.
Giyu nodded calmly, moved the tray behind him, and made room for Uchiha Itachi to sit down.
Giyu looked over carefully and found that Itachi had even a small tuft of white hair on the left side of his forehead.
Although Giyu had expected it, the Root of Konoha, using such an extreme scene as the sacrifice of his comrades to deceive Itachi, was still a huge mental blow to him.
As for the psychological impact he had on Itachi, Giyu had no idea at all.
[It seems that we can't do it without solving Itachi's problem first...]
"Sorry for eavesdropping on you…"
" But the answer to this question, I originally thought that although it would not be easy to do, it would at least be easy to choose. But after what happened in the past few days, I am no longer sure. "
The sudden collapse of trust made Itachi begin to question every thought he had formed during this period.
"Since you talked about that day, I will take this opportunity to tell you directly what happened that day. "
Giyu and Sasuke sat upright, like two slightly different replicas, listening quietly to Itachi's description.
The day before training shuriken with Sasuke, Itachi received a mission to kill a member of Takigakure Village. To their ancestors and grandchildren.
They are quite traditional ninjas. The family ninjutsu is passed down from generation to generation, which can be regarded as a kind of secret technique.
According to Konoha's investigation, this ninjutsu can control the fungal communities under the trees to connect into pieces, thereby carrying out ultra-long-distance surveillance activities, even perceptive ninjas cannot discover the location of these fungi.
When the two villages had not yet formed an alliance, Takigakure Ninja used this ninjutsu to find the first Hokage's body in the forest of the Land of Fire. The specific location, cooperated with the Iwagakure and organized an assassination. Although the assassination ended in failure, once it succeeded, the First Hokage died, and the Ninja World War would break out that year. In order to prevent similar things from happening again in the future,
The Root Organization sent Itachi Uchiha to completely interrupt the inheritance of this secret technique.
But when Uchiha Itachi followed the clues, all he found was an old man who didn't even have much chakra left, and a child. That child swordsmanship is not as good as that of Sasuke's nine-year-old child.
It was the first time Itachi assassinated such a character who had no resistance. He had strong doubts about the mission he was performing. Under the simultaneous influence of guilt and shame, he was mentally disturbed from time to time. Suddenly, he was almost injured by Sasuke's shuriken.
"But this time... they obviously didn't do anything."
Sasuke didn't want to blame Itachi, but as a young man, he still felt aggrieved for the grandfather and grandson. Just because this kind of ninjutsu may threaten Konoha in the future, it seems too arrogant to kill them.
Especially when Takigakure is still an ally of Konoha.
Seeing that Itachi didn't speak, he went to Giyu for support, but Giyu lowered his eyelids and looked quite heavy.
After a long time, Giyu slowly spoke, but he directly talked about another thing.
"I went to the Country of Rain this time, and I heard that Konoha once helped Sanshouo no Hanzo to eradicate an organization that attempted to use peaceful means to solve the hatred of the great nations. The Guy who is the leader of this root, and I guess it is for similar reasons. Konoha, protect peace and so on..."
He continued, "It seems that now, the Rain Country and the Fire Country seem to be at peace. But as far as I know, since that incident, the people of the Rain Country no longer trust Hanzo. Various rebel organizations have sprung up like mushrooms after rain, and the whole country is in chaos."
"Their enemies are not only Hanzo, but also all the great nations. Just waiting for the day Hanzo dies, the hatred between the Rain Country and other big countries may be brought to light, and new conflicts will break out... "What they call a 'small disaster', use this arrogant and domineering way to eradicate threats. They are not avoiding major disasters at all, but creating them with their own hands."
Giyu and Itachi seemed to look at each other calmly, but the words penetrated Itachi's heart like a sharp knife.
He had already deeply understood the Rain Country and his team ninjas did not consider issues of morality, good and evil, so they did not raise this issue at all this time.
"Man is not a god and he cannot predict the future."
"Your assassination of the grandfather and grandson may succeed or fail. Once the failure is exposed, cracks will appear in the relationship between allies. At that time, the things you avoid will appear in advance."
"The disaster you want to avoid was an illusion that might have occurred. But the disaster you created with your own hands is a bloody reality, and the effects and results are difficult to judge."
"Instead of doing such unnecessary things, it is better to think about it. What should we do if the 'big disaster' really comes? "
When the Demon Slayer Squad learned that once Demon Slayer Muzan got Nezuko, it was very likely that he could defeat Sunshine. Did everyone choose to kill Nezuko just to be on the safe side? No. On the contrary, the Lord chose to let the team members practice as a group. He strengthened his strength and united all the allies he could win over, including Tamayo, and was ready to deal with him.
When it was necessary to severely injure Mutsuji Kibutsuji in order to inject him with the poison prepared by Miss Tamayo, it was the lord who sacrificed himself and The family created a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity by exploding the headquarters of the Demon Slayer Corps when it was unprepared.
"Despicable means can only create a despicable peace. The day it is exposed, the postponed turmoil will get worse."
Some of the words were beyond what Sasuke could understand. He looked at the two people uneasily, fearing that there would be some differences between them and he didn't know who to talk to. "Itachi, before you join the ANBU, Don't go on any further. "
This was the first time that Giyu took the initiative to ask Itachi to do something, "It's really chilling that even people's sacrifices and will can be used as a conspiracy organization. "
" But, I... promised my father. "
Itachi shook his head, "Maybe I can lurk in, win that person's trust, and know the truth about that matter."
This is a pure mystery to Sasuke.
But Giyu knows that Itachi is talking about the real reason for the death of Uchiha Flame and Wen. When they come back this time, the three of them have taken the very basic Shimura Danzo as the focus. Doubt the target and clues. But this person lives in a reclusive society. Under normal circumstances, they can't even see each other...
"Then, in order to gain trust, do you carry out tasks that you no longer agree with? "
Giyu's tone rose slightly, "What's more, that is simply the wrong thing to do. "
"If you have to go..."
Giyu glanced at the ceiling pointedly, "I would rather see you stay in the hospital permanently."
This is a naked threat.
"Then what should I do? "
When Itachi said this dejectedly, Sasuke was shocked. His usually confident and calm brother showed such a helpless expression, which was as abnormal as the playful smile of Giyu. "Now, I no longer know what to do right now."
"Take a leave, or go with Shisui to guard against Kirigakure's ninjas. "
Giyu gave the answer, "There is nothing wrong with defending your country from enemy spying. "
It will take at least three months for Shisui to leave, and it can be extended as needed.
Itachi can stay away from this place of right and wrong that lacks trust, or he can use the calming effect of water breathing to slowly recover from the devastating Mind.
“I understand. "
Itachi nodded. Giyu had already half threatened and half requested. Now that his mind was full of chaotic thoughts, he felt that this seemed to be a good idea. "I will go now and explain the situation to my father and the Hokage. Shisui will help me. But early tomorrow morning, the patrol will set off for the Kingdom of Water..."
Itachi looked hesitant at Sasuke, who was gradually understanding, "If they all agree to my request, I will not be able to attend your opening ceremony."
"I'm sorry, Sasuke, Giyu. "
He buried his head slightly and said, "Please forgive me about this matter. When you start school next year, I will make up for this absence. "
Looking at his brother who looked like he was seriously ill, Sasuke couldn't say anything even though he was unwilling. In the end, he could only nod his head in disappointment. A few hours later, downstairs, his father yelled angrily. The sound finally stopped.
Itachi became an Anbu spy, which was the clan's plan, but now it fell short just before it was about to succeed. He really couldn't accept it. Even Shisui's persuasion had little effect (or even had the opposite effect).
However, after being prompted by Uchiha Mikoto and discovering a strand of white hair hidden behind Itachi's forehead, Fugaku suddenly woke up and remembered Itachi's current age.
Because this child has always been too precocious, he also takes this child's extraordinary patience too much for granted.
In the end, he agreed to Itachi's request with a displeased look on his face. It's just that he has to find a way to deal with the few Jonin in the clan.
As for Shisui and Itachi, they still have to go to the Hokage to explain the situation.
"Giyu, Sasuke, are you ready for tomorrow?"
The only one in the family who still had a forced smile was Uchiha Mikoto.
"Okay--"
Sasuke responded lazily like a deflated balloon. It was obvious that Itachi couldn't accompany him to the opening ceremony, which made him very unhappy, and he lost three points of motivation to go to school.
"Don't look like this! Mom will take you there tomorrow, aren't you happy?"
" Mom, then I look like other children."
Sasuke puffed up his face.
"You are just a child."
Uchiha Mikoto didn't know whether to laugh or cry, poked her face, and then changed her voice, "Besides, you have been preparing for so long, you should be looking forward to tomorrow's entrance exam!"
"Of course!"
Sasuke became more energetic as expected, "The Police Guard uncle said that even if I take the second-year exam directly, I can still get excellent results!"
"Then you have to work hard."
After saying that, Mikoto turned her eyes to Giyu, "Giyu, you should be prepared too, right?"
"Yeah."
Giyu felt that he could even understand part of the Second Hokage's water release scroll, so he should be able to pass the examination of a ninja school without any problem. After all, to use Itachi's words, those things in the scroll were all at the Jonin level...
But when Giyu sat in the examination room the next day, he saw the first question on the paper and asked about the birth dates of all the previous Hokages. At this time, he threw down the pen with a snap, and could only look at each other dryly with Uzumaki Naruto, who was also at a loss.
