(The timeline of the Akatsuki organization in this book is based on the version of the game "Naruto: Ultimate Storm" and the ninja drama "Akatsuki Creation". That is, Nagato officially started recruiting members of the Akatsuki organization after he killed Sanshouo no Hanzo. There are still two years left at this point.)
The numb and itchy feeling from the wound woke Giyu from his slumber. He opened his eyes and was greeted by a wooden vaulted ceiling covered in vines.
White rose flowers hang on it like white clouds dotting the sky, some scattered in a corner, and some blooming together.
As for the light source here, it is the big hole on the other side of the roof.
The rare sunshine in the Land of Rain pours in from there, and where the light shines, the vines that break through the floor look particularly strong.
"hiss……"
Giyu propped himself up on his elbows and looked around, but saw no one else.
The last thing he did before losing consciousness was to use the Second Form: Water Wheel to bring himself and Ajisai to the river. Then he used Water Release: Wave Riding Strike and floated down the waves with Ajisai.
Traveling at that speed, even if those rain ninjas who went after Kyojuro came back in time, it would be impossible to find where they were going.
Although it was a bit risky, Giyu was unable to use his legs at the time and could only make dangerous moves.
Now that he appeared in this strange house, but there was no Ajisai, he was inevitably worried about her safety.
[Speaking of legs...]
Giyu's eyes quickly moved down and he took off the black robe covering his body.
His shoulders, neck, and head were all carefully bandaged, as were the parts that were directly hit by the ceiling, as well as his knees that were cracked due to weight and friction.
The gauze and bandage are very clean, and each has a piece of white paper pressed tightly against the connection point like Velcro. This treatment method is very special.
He focused his eyes and found that the gravel, sand and other foreign matter in the skin of the most injured knee had been removed, and the muscle tissue was slowly growing under the effect of the drug. This was why he would be awakened by a numb and itchy feeling. s reason.
Now that Giyu has woken up, he can use the transparent world to control the nerves and blood vessels at the wound to connect and heal faster. I believe it will not take long to be intact. Of course, if he uses medical ninjutsu, his recovery speed will be faster.
[Such a delicate bandage is unlikely to be made of Ajisai. Now we have to find her first...]
Giyu carefully stood up from the floor.
In order not to stretch the affected area as much as possible, he looked like a mummy who had come back from the dead, and his movements were stiff and funny.
After getting up, Giyu noticed that he was lying on a huge frog jumpsuit, which was equivalent to his "mattress".
Judging from the dull, ointment-like color, it seems that no one has worn it for a long time.
In the shadows in the corner of the room, there are three smaller frog jumpsuits, half leaning against the wall, like three lazy children napping.
[Someone has lived here. It seems that it should be someone else's home, but it has been abandoned...]
Giyu shook his head and stopped trying to figure out the whereabouts of the three owners of the small frog suits.
He held on to the wall and moved forward little by little, because the door to exit was right ahead. After walking outside, he was attracted by the three cards on the wall on the left, and looked towards the light.
Two red cards, together with a card with a frog pattern on a white background, are hung on the wall with a strong rope.
There are three names written under the three cards, from left to right - Nagato, Yahiko and Konan.
Combined with the frog card above [Konan]'s name, Giyu roughly understood that this was the owner of the three children's frog suits.
[So, that large frog suit...]
He turned around with something in mind, and sure enough, he saw another frog card with a white background on the opposite wall.
The name below is "Jiraiya", which should be the adult who takes care of the three children.
[I seem to have heard this name from someone. It should be someone who wrote a book. ]
Giyu had some impression of the word "Jiraiya", and thought about it but couldn't remember which book it was.
When I get back to Konoha, I can just go to the bookstore to verify it.
Thinking of this, Giyu continued walking towards the door without stopping.
Through the gap in the cracked door, he had already seen the figure of Ajisai squatting on the ground outside. The sound seemed to be that she was cleaning something. After confirming that the other party was still alive, Giyu immediately felt relieved.
But before he could open the door and say hello, the sound of wind blowing through the pages of a book sounded above his head.
Giyu raised his eyes and saw that a square piece of paper was clinging to the edge of the big hole in the roof. It was blown by the passing breeze, but it refused to fly out of the house. Unexpectedly, of tenacity.
The next moment, more identical square pieces of paper appeared at the entrance of the hole. First they were swirling as if they were blown up by the wind, and then they were intertwined and overlapped one by one, and the color gradually changed.
In less than five seconds, a purple-haired woman with huge paper wings hung above the hole. This move is somewhat similar to Shisui and Itachi's Crow Clone Technique.
The woman's back was to the sun, which was dyed with a golden halo. Her pair of emotionless orange-red eyes looked condescendingly at Giyu. The black robe she was wearing was exactly the same as the one she had put on Giyu before, but it had no distinctive features.
No one of the two people spoke.
The two pairs of extremely similar indifferent eyes showed no information that could be read or written - no hostility, no fear, no surprise, nothing. They were like two wooden statues, competing to see who could not stand the silence first.
But as we all know, when playing this kind of game, the only one who wins is Giyu.
Three minutes later, the purple-haired woman's lip-studded mouth slightly tilted downwards, and her body slowly descended from the hole. The wings that were slightly in the way immediately turned into scattered papers adhering to her body.
"I heard from a person in the settlement that someone was looking for me everywhere, so I followed the clues to find him."
Her voice was also cold, as if she was deliberately trying to sound cold.
"Last night, I found you on a tree trunk in the river not far away, and brought you here nearby."
"..."
Giyu looked at the bandages on his body and said two words: "Thank you."
"It's too early to say thank you."
The purple-haired woman's eyes became a little stern, and several square pieces of paper flew away from her and stuck to Giyu's wrists and knees.
Giyu did not dodge, but felt that the two pieces of paper on his wrist were extremely tight against his skin, even to the point of oppression.
"When people lie, their pulse pairs change. I can read your pulse through the paper. If you are lying..."
She made several seals with her hands, and the two pieces of paper stuck to Giyu's knees immediately added the word "explosion".
Shisui had reminded Giyu that he should be careful of three things in the Land of Rain - poison, explosive tag and teleportation technique. Now he is really more and more impressed by the first two of them.
Seeing that Giyu had no intention of asking questions or begging for mercy, the purple-haired woman simply asked directly.
"Did you kill Sanshouo no Koga?"
While searching along the way, she saw the body of Sanshouo no Koga cut in half, and heard Ajisai's later description.
However, when she saw the injuries all over Giyu's body, she really couldn't believe that such a child, in this physical condition, had defeated one of the strongest ninjas in the Land of Rain——
He didn't even have time to use the Summoning and body flicker technique that the other party was good at.
"Um."
Giyu nodded calmly.
The reason why he chose to stay at that time was partly because of the situation.
On the other hand, it was Ajisai's declaration of revenge that made him decide to completely eliminate the initiator of this transplant experiment.
Less than two months after this transplant experiment started, the Sanshouo no Koga has already killed more people than the ordinary demon kills in a year. Giyu can no longer wait for the next opportunity. In addition, if Ajisai wants revenge, other children will inevitably have the same thoughts. It is better for him to clean up this nightmare so that they can get out of the shadow of this tragedy as soon as possible.
"Who sent you to kill him?"
"no one."
"Which country are you a ninja from?"
"I'm not a ninja. I can't tell you the country."
We cannot talk about the country and the Ninja Village. This is what Shisui emphasized, in order to avoid political friction.
The woman frowned.
She was not satisfied with this answer, but Giyu's pulse was completely the same as before.
A child who can endure the pain caused by such an injury and can kill three jounin at the same time in a desperate situation must have gone through quite rigorous training, so there is a high probability that he is a genius ninja from a certain great ninja village.
This is also the reason why she is so guarded against Giyu even after she clearly helped him.
"Why did you go to find Sanshouo no Koga, and why did you take the other children away?"
"I was looking for my missing friends, and I found them there by the way. As for rescuing them, weren't you doing the same thing?"
Giyu retorted and asked, "You are the 'angel' That people. You go around distributing food to the settlements in the Land of Rain, right?"
He already knew the identity of this woman from the moment he saw the pair of wings.
In essence, this person and her guess were good. She is a person who had extra compassion for children. Otherwise, why would she have to treat his wounds and just wake him up and interrogate him? There must be many such people among ninjas.
"I was born in the land of rain, that's why I do this."
The purple-haired woman frowned, "But you are from another big country. If it wasn't for your mission, why would you risk your life to take them out of the Country of Rain?"
[Isn’t it because of the value of the experimental subjects? ]
"Human life is human life and has nothing to do with the country."
Giyu said impatiently: "We took them away to find a doctor to solve the hidden dangers in their bodies."
[Didn’t lie. ]
[Either he knows how to control the pulse and deal with this simple interrogation method. ]
The purple-haired woman fell silent, [Or is he just a child with some strength but also innocence? ]
"Then why are you looking for me everywhere?"
"My friend is missing. Investigation traces point to the Kingdom of Rain."
There was a hint of hope in Giyu's tone, "Not long after we arrived here, we heard that you could fly and that your movements were suspicious, so we specifically searched for your location."
The purple-haired woman's expression warmed up slightly.
This time, there was a clear change in Giyu's pulse.
But it is different from the feeling that ordinary people feel when they lie. It is an ordinary emotional ups and downs, not the kind that calms down after a sudden jump.
This shows that his worries about the two missing persons are genuine.
He stared into the purple-haired woman's eyes, "They are thirteen and sixteen years old, and they look very similar. Have you ever seen them?"
"Is it a ninja?"
"Yeah." Giyu nodded.
"It's been a long time since I've seen ninjas from other countries."
The purple-haired woman shook her head, "You've found the wrong person."
[Still no clues about them...]
Giyu frowned slightly, took two steps back and leaned against the wall.
[I just hope that Shisui can gain something in the Hidden Rain Village. ]
Now, Sanshouo no Koga, who caused a lot of tragedies, is dead, and Kyojuro has been summoned, but his most important goal of coming to the Land of Rain this time has not yet been completed.
Giyu just wants to find Shisui urgently and see if he has made any progress there. Besides, they had already agreed on a time to meet, and it should be coming soon.
"If there are no more problems, I'm leaving."
He pulled off the explosive tag with two swipes and handed it to the purple-haired woman, not worrying at all that the other party would detonate it directly.
"I still have important things to do, so I can't waste any more time."
"Even if I don't stop you..."
The purple-haired woman did not reach out to pick up the explosive tag, but shook her head and said, "You can't go far. Do you know where you are now and where you are going?"
Although this boy concealed his nationality, he was too direct in everything he said and did. The purple-haired woman was inclined to believe that he was just looking for someone.
In addition, although he came from a big country and his ideas were a bit naive, he did save many residents of the Rain Country, as well as Ajisai and other children from the Rain Ninja, so she had a good impression of the child.
Let him leave now. If he encounters Rain Ninja, I'm afraid there will only be a dead end.
She doesn't want to do this.
"It's a small country and I'll always find a way."
Giyu was very determined, "I have something I must do."
With that said, he was about to open the door outside the house.
"You know you only have a pair of underwear besides the bandages."
Giyu's hand that just touched the door bolt was withdrawn.
"Ajisai is cleaning your bloody clothes."
The purple-haired woman didn't know whether she was smiling or not. Anyway, seeing the kid not daring to turn his head, she felt a little relieved.
"Besides, I don't know the status of the implant in her body."
She suggested, "You stay here tonight and help me remove the things from her body."
"Your clothes will be dried by tomorrow, and I will take you out of here in person. How about it?"
Giyu still didn't look back. He nodded hard at the door twice, then supported the wall and slowly moved back to the back room. He covered himself with the black robe and remained motionless.
