Uchiha Giyu Chapter 22
🕑 Added 2023-11-08 02:26:00 +0000 UTCChapter 22 Battle Ends
After the desert of the Kingdom of Wind, the two fought in more than a dozen different terrains, and never once was the environment conducive to Giyu.
Now, they came to a place that was quite familiar to each other, which was in the middle of the streets of Konoha, in front of the police office building.
After nearly half an hour of fighting, Giyu had reached the end of his strength in both physical strength and chakra. His body was covered with numerous wounds. Just looking at his appearance, he could be a star in the scariest children's horror movie without makeup.
"Uchiha style: Halo dance!"
Uchiha Shisui's body and three shadow clones simultaneously wielded a violent upward flow of flames.
Giyu, whose leg was injured in the previous battle, did not close his Sharingan, and his vision was affected by the intense white light like a corona on the flames. This time, he had no time to escape, so he could only choose to use his back to get close to one of the clones. At the cost of only suffering one damage, it soars high into the sky like a rocket being launched.
But the fierce heat of the flames poured into his body, and bursts of coughing burst out of his mouth like a running wild horse, accompanied by burnt black blood.
At this moment, Giyu's injuries were so severe that he could no longer use the Transparent World to control his lungs, which were burned by the high temperature in his body.
Ever since Uchiha Shisui decided to fight with all his strength, Giyu has never been able to gain an upper hand, because the opponent knows the importance of utilizing strengths and avoiding weaknesses and will not engage in close combat with him at all.
Giyu has extremely powerful sword skills, but he can't hit anyone. Even if he rushes forward, Shisui will immediately distance himself, followed by a series of shadow clones, shuriken skills, fire release, and wind release ninjutsu. Even if Giyu has extremely high dynamic vision, he cannot completely avoid large-scale ninjutsu attacks.
Over time, the number of minor injuries increased and hindered the body's operating efficiency, and serious injuries developed, just like now.
But he was not completely without gains...
After this battle, Giyu has decided to learn some long-range attack methods and ninjutsu to prepare for emergencies.
In particular, he must learn various ways to quickly approach the enemy, otherwise he will not be able to use his advantages at all.
From this point of view, one of the purposes of Shisui's competition with him - to arouse Giyu's interest in Ninjutsu - has been achieved.
"It's time to end it, Giyu."
Shisui wiped the sweat from his forehead with some fatigue.
Itachi's younger brother's strong "will" is really unbelievable, and few of those extremely vicious iron-blooded Kirigakure ninjas can fight to this level.
He was certain that although Giyu was using some means to control his injuries, the blood flowing out of his body was enough to make him faint twice.
But he still survived until now.
But if the fight continues like this, Shisui will have to cheat to replenish himself with chakra.
As for the Mangekyō technique, it cannot be used in the illusion space of Kotoamatsukami. Even if it could be used, he would not use it.
Because in that case, the gap in combat effectiveness between the two sides would be too large, and Giyu would not be able to learn anything.
Looking at Giyu who was pushed to the highest point and then began to fall after a brief pause, Shisui's eyes condensed and he formed the twenty-ninth Yin Seal today.
" Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
And his three clones formed the hand seal of another technique: "Wind Release·Great Breakthrough!"
The turbulent airflow suddenly filled the streets.
The violent wind pressure brought the red fireball to the sky at high speed, like a burning sun hitting the moon.
Giyu stopped coughing and stared intently at the approaching flames, calmly calculating the distance between them in his heart.
When the fireball was less than three meters away from him, Giyu turned his body, and the ring-shaped water blade rotated around him like a propeller in high-speed operation. The jagged edge directly cut open the incoming fireball, and then separated from Giyu. The body was crushed downwards!
Shisui's three clones escaped and were cut in half by the suddenly expanding waterwheel, but the real body was nowhere to be seen.
After the blow, Giyu's condition was obviously worse.
He felt his eyes go dark and almost couldn't see clearly what was in front of him. When he opened his eyes again, everything was spinning, and the water blade at his fingertips also began to deform...
A "Two Type Waterwheel" of the same size used this move on the streets of Konoha, but it consumed three times the chakra as it did at sea. This shows how important the environment is to water release ninjas.
That is, at the moment when he was in a trance, dozens of kunai with fine steel wires flew past his armpits, neck, ankles, wrists and knees with precision, and then they were suddenly tightened, pulling Giyu back. Tie it tightly and pull it into a big flat character.
After feeling a sharp pain on his skin, Giyu found himself hung up by a net of silk threads directly above the main street of Konoha, with blood flowing down drop by drop from the damaged skin...
There was no way, in his current situation, even if he could see the attack, he couldn't dodge it at all.
"Giyu, it's over."
Shisui stepped on a thin line across the street not far away, as steady as a light bird.
"Sometimes, admitting defeat or begging for mercy is also a strategy and it is not a shameful thing."
The purpose of his competition this time was to teach Giyu how to deal with ninjas, and of course how to save his life if captured.
But after taking a look at the numerous punctures, cuts and burns all over Giyu's body, he felt that it might be difficult to explain to Giyu.
Most of the geniuses in the world died young because of this kind of pride. And Uchiha's pride is usually multiplied by three times.
"If you're willing to admit defeat, just make a sign and we can call it a day and go have lunch."
Shisui touched his chin, "But if you don't want to, you will have to bear the consequences.'
"If it is a real enemy, you can only anger the opponent by persisting like this. Being killed is already the best result."
"On the contrary, surrendering and admitting defeat often leads to opportunities to fight back or be rescued."
[Maybe if he feels the fear of death once, he won't have to fight so hard when he meets other ninjas...]
Until now, Shisui was still thinking about how to let Giyu learn enough lessons.
But the bruised Giyu did not surrender as he expected. Instead, he began to shake the silk thread wrapped around his body without saying a word. There was a touch of heart-stopping tenacity on his blood-stained but cold-as-ice face.
It is hard to imagine that his only record before this was a fight with a few half-year-old children.
[Why can he bear such pain? ]
[Or is it that he was absolutely calm and knew that this was just an illusion, so he overcame his fear of pain? ]
"In that case..."
Shisui knew that no matter what the possibility was, the child's psychological work could only be done slowly by Itachi and Sasuke.
[Especially this kind of fighting method that shows no care for one's own body needs to be corrected urgently. ]
“I just had to force the fight to end."
"Being able to feel what it's like to die in advance is a unique experience for you."
Itachi pursed his lips nervously while watching the battle, worried about the impact this might have on Giyu, and at the same time hoping that the battle would end soon. Although it was just an illusion, every time Giyu was injured without expression, there would be an invisible knife cutting into his heart.
But since he was determined to leave home to practice alone, he had to pass this test, otherwise he wouldn't be able to let go.
Why did Shisui keep using Uchiha's method to fight Giyu after telling him how to deal with ANBU? Itachi knew exactly who he was guarding against in Doctrine.
He doesn't take any side at all. Neither side can be fully trusted.
After Shisui finished speaking, he immediately jumped back high. While completing the seal, his chest and mouth expanded at the same time.
"Fire Release: Dragon Fire Technique!"
The flame faucet, which was always orange and looked like a piece of furniture carving decoration, flew towards the tightly bound Giyu with extremely distorted air.
From a distance of nearly ten meters, Giyu felt as if his face, which was not very sensitive, was coated with a layer of wax, dry and numb. As for his eyes, it hurt, and his nose even had the feeling of burning and curling hair. Special odor.
Although this move of the Fire Dragon is small in scale, it is not like the Fireball that simply creates explosions and visual interference.
The flame temperature of the Fire Dragon Technique is extremely high. If Giyu gets hit by it, he will be killed instantly without much pain.
It seems that Shisui is still soft-hearted.
[Is this the power of an ordinary jounin? What a dangerous place...]
[But if I can hold on for this long, Tokito and Rengoku will only be stronger than me. ]
Giyu knew this was just a drill...
But he couldn't say the words to admit defeat or surrender.
In addition to his integrity and sense of honor as a water hashira, Giyu's imaginary enemy is not the hostile ninja in the eyes of Shisui and Itachi, nor the high-level village officials in the eyes of the clan, but the one who almost killed his brother in the ruins six years ago. That huge monster. ( Nine tails fox or kyuubi)
He didn't believe that in such a large ninja world, there was only one monster like that. Maybe those things are like the Twelve Demon Moons, and they might show up again anytime...
But would that kind of incommunicable creature that was taller than the village, had eyes similar to those of Kibutsuji Muzan, and destroyed everything without restraint, would listen to his plea for mercy?
Most likely not.
Therefore, if you do not have the confidence to win, you must be prepared to die.
[Only by facing death as if you were injured can you fight with any opponent without any worries. ]
Giyu looked at the fire dragon that was getting closer and closer, and gently closed his eyes, and the last wave of waves in his heart completely disappeared.
His heart is as still as water, which is what he is now.
This is not the despair of giving up resistance or waiting for relief, but facing the threat of death as if it were an ordinary thing.
Only in this way, when facing a truly dangerous enemy, will we not make mistakes due to unnecessary emotions such as fear and anger.
This is the unshakable measure of the Water Hashira.
["Giyu, imagine the water surface...imagine the water surface without waves...the Water Breathing is an unbreakable shield that can withstand any attack..."]
Master Urokodaki's words appeared in his ears.
"Water Breathing..."
The fire dragon was less than one meter away from him. Giyu's clothes were ignited by the high temperature, and the skin on his face cracked and deformed.
"Eleventh Form..."
Suddenly, a huge drop of ice-blue water fell from his ankle, floated in the air, and then spread out like a spreading wave, dyeing the surrounding area with the same color, just like Katsushika Hokusai's The Great Wave of Kanagawa. Reality...
The space where Giyu lives has long been like a dream, half real and half imaginary.
"Dead Calm." ( Nagi in Japanese)
The roaring fire dragon disappeared out of thin air at the moment when it was about to engulf Giyu, as if it had entered a different space that no one could see.
The flames on Giyu's body are also missing.
The ice-blue liquid under his body spread wider and wider as if it was suddenly replenished, like a beautiful lake made of translucent mercury reflecting the sky. It reached its limit at a radius of about ten meters, but in the end it was like time. It shrank back like a spin, and crawled back into the soles of Giyu's feet as if it was conscious.
Giyu opened his eyes, but his charred face was strangely more energetic than before.
[Physical strength and chakra...have been replenished? The injuries have also recovered a lot...]
He stretched out his hand and pulled hard, directly tearing off the silk thread holding his right hand on the spot.
This is the ability of the Eleventh Form, which invalidates all non-water type and non-blood type ninjutsu that enter the range of "Nagi", decomposes it into chakra and physical strength, and then replenishes and repairs the body.
The most important thing is that this move doesn't require much chakra! The key is to get Giyu into that state of absolute calm.
If you want to attack Giyu within Nagi's range, you can only fight hand to hand or use water release and Bloodline limit abilities - in other words, you must defeat Giyu in the area where he is best at it.
Itachi opened his eyes wide for no apparent reason and came to Shisui's side in a flash.
"what happened?"
"I did not do that."
Shisui shook his head in disbelief, "I don't know exactly what happened. He clearly didn't even have a sword in his hand..."
Then, he waved his hand to Giyu, who had broken free from the thread: "That's enough, that's enough, I won't fight."
[If I didn’t cheat, I would only have the chakra of three Fire Dragons left...]
After saying that, a fierce white light flashed in the eyes of Itachi and Giyu at the same time.
When they came back to their senses, they had returned to the mountain hut where Naka River was located. The roaring waterfall was proof. For the first time, Itachi felt that the sound was so pleasant.
After checking that he was out of the hallucination, he quickly turned to Giyu and breathed a sigh of relief after confirming that he didn't have any wounds on his body or showing any symptoms of a mental breakdown.
"Giyu, you win this time. As agreed..."
Shisui paused, stretched greatly, then leaned forward and put his arms on the table, folded his hands and rested his chin on them, staring at Giyu with slightly tired eyes as if looking at a treasure. .
"I'm not going to lend it to you or anything. I won't be able to use this place anyway, and everything here will belong to you from now on. After all, this is the clan's real estate."
Giyu blinked, unable to tell whether it was a surprise or an embarrassment.
"Is this okay?"
"I will leave ANBU soon and go to patrol near the Kingdom of Water. You are so virtuous, so take good care of this place."
He smiled heartily, "Besides this valley, I can't think of any other place that is more suitable for hiding your power. That last move just now really scared me."
"I will repay you."
Giyu urgently needed such a private and safe place to practice the Flame Breathing, so he did not refuse.
Anyway, the Moon Breathing is not technically a thing of the Demon Slayer Corps. Once I learn it, I can teach it to Shisui as a gift in return.
According to Giyu's observation, since he has practiced water breathing for many years, he has a very high affinity for water attribute chakra.
Then letting Shisui practice the Moon Breathing should also increase his mastery of Yin attribute chakra. He loves illusions so much, so he will definitely need this.
The only problem is that he may have to wait a few more years.
"Since you said so, I will always look forward to it, Giyu."
Shisui raised a bright smile, then put the bamboo tube aside on the table, poked it gently, and rolled towards Itachi.
What was inside was the ninjutsu scroll that Giyu had used to learn Water Release:Water Blade Slash. It contained the Second Hokage Senju Tobirama's lifelong experience in practicing Water Release.
"While I am away from the village, I will leave this to you for safekeeping."
He looked like he was asking for help, and it seemed like that.
Itachi originally didn't want to accept such a precious thing.
Because he knew that once he took it, even if he wanted to send it back to Shisui, the other party would probably not be able to take it back. He would probably give some lame excuse like "I'm still busy, so you can keep it for me for a while." .
Moreover, Shisui's real purpose was for Itachi to learn the above techniques and then teach them to Giyu.
The reason why Shisui didn't give it directly to Giyu was probably because he was worried that giving both things to Giyu at once would make him feel bad.
[I really like taking care of others...]
In the end, Shisui's brother-like eager eyes Itachi couldn't refuse at all, so he could only take the bamboo tube and hold it in his hand without saying a word.
The thing was obviously not heavy, but he felt a heavy sense of trust and expectation.
So far...
Giyu finally has a place where he can secretly practice the Flame Breathing.
He looked at the misty waterfall in the distance, determined to complete this goal before the ninja school started.
However, it seems to be a troublesome thing for the resurrected Rengoku Kyojuro to stay in Konoha Village reasonably and legally.
And this is the problem he has to solve next.
