Uchiha Giyu Chapter 20
🕑 Added 2023-11-05 23:45:01 +0000 UTCChapter 20 Who is Shisui (Part 1)
Under the light of the moon, which has been specially magnified several times, the Valley of the End Falls looks like a Milky Way flowing with white fireworks.
Uchiha Itachi sat at the wrist of the Senju Hashirama statue with his palms clasped together, looking down at the two people standing opposite each other under the waterfall.
Even if he knew that this was an illusion space, Shisui would not cause any real harm to Giyu, but he was still so nervous that he turned a blind eye to a whole table of three-color meatballs.
Itachi wasn't quite sure how many times Shisui would kill Giyu here.
As for the possibility of Giyu victory, he never thought about it at all.
After all, the person standing opposite Giyu was the number one Uchiha master that even his father had admitted.
The number of people in Konoha who can defeat Shisui can be counted on fingers.
[I hope he won’t leave any trauma on Giyu. ]
As soon as he had this idea, Shisui below him started to move.
Uchiha Shisui first turned around and gave Itachi a "reassuring" gesture, and then pointed lightly at Uchiha Madara's statue——
Two red numbers immediately appeared in the latter's eyes: "9" and "9" respectively.
But a second later, the "9" in his left eye turned into an "8", then a "7", and then a "6".
Giyu understood. It was a large countdown clock, just like the Pomodoro clock he used to steam eggs in the kitchen.
"In order to let you understand the impact of the environment on ninjas, every 99 seconds, I will randomly change the terrain or celestial phenomena here."
"Some terrains may be more suitable for your performance, while others are completely opposite. You have to use the chakra several times to escape through water.
"The same is true in battles among ordinary ninjas. Very few people can always have the upper hand. Many jounin-level ninjutsu may only have the effect of chunin when used in inappropriate places."
Shisui chuckled and explained, "During our battle, all the rules in the illusion space are the same as outside. You have to understand these subtle differences."
Giyu was silent for a while and then uttered two words: "Thank you."
He could see that Shisui was nominally trying to compete with him, but in fact it was like teaching him how to fight ninjas. And from what Itachi said before, using this technique might hurt Shisui's eyes.
"Haha, I knew you were a smart kid."
Shisui slowly pulled out the ninja sword from his back, making a gentle and rough friction sound, as if he was deliberately diverted Giyu's attention.
"However, Giyu, you also said before that I don't have to be merciful, so...
"I can only respect your wishes!"
The moment Shisui finished speaking, a sharp kunai flew in front of Giyu.
There was no warning, it came suddenly like a bolt from the blue.
[Not even the Seal of Opposition is tied...]
Itachi was startled by the sudden battle.
And Giyu's face was as cold as ever.
Facing the sneak attack, he seemed to have been prepared for it. He just casually turned sideways, rubbed the side of the kunai and hid, letting the kunai shoot into the woods behind him, making a muffled sound.
[Can you also see the trajectory of kunai in this way? ]
Shisui noticed that Giyu didn't use the Sharingan at all, and couldn't help but admire his reaction speed.
However, this is just bait...
When Giyu slightly turned his gaze back, Shisui's baby face had quietly flown to his side.
"Be careful."
Shisui said words of concern, but he didn't hesitate at all when he took action.
The ninja sword in his hand reflected the cold and bright moonlight, which stung Giyu's eyes and made a sharp sound towards the latter's neck, which was fatal and sharp.
"Snapped--"
Giyu raised the water blade in time to deflect Shisui's ninja sword, and at the same time kicked him in the knee. Due to his height, this is currently the best place for him to kick.
"Very sharp, Giyu."
Shisui smiled, but there was murderous intent in his smile.
He immediately took a step back, allowing Giyu's kick to miss, and threw a kunai towards Giyu's feet, which he could barely avoid by a hair's breadth.
However, due to landing on one foot and using too much force, Giyu's body was slightly unbalanced, and Shisui once again found an opportunity to attack.
Facing the crisis, Giyu became calmer. He increased the input of chakra and used the reaction force generated when the water blade collided with the water under his feet to launch himself high into the air, avoiding Shisui's sword aimed at his waist.
"very nice."
Shisui did not hesitate to praise him, but then his words changed, "But how are you going to hide in mid-air?"
He crossed his hands in front of his chest like a phantom, and more than twenty shurikens flew towards Giyu. The trajectory was like the petals of the other shore flower, gorgeous and charming, but it seemed to foreshadow inevitable death.
The Giyu in the air was unhurried, his black hole-like eyes quickly scanned the murderous intent that was getting closer and closer to him, and he immediately found a way to break the situation.
He found a tricky angle and gently knocked one of them away with his water blade. The latter unexpectedly caused a series of chain reactions. All the shurikens lost their accuracy as they collided with each other and flew around. go.
In a confrontation that lasted less than ten seconds, he had already circumvented the God of Death three times in a row.
Ninjas are indeed better at killing than demons.
"Uchiha shurikenjutsu?"
Shisui asked softly, but it was more like talking to himself again.
[But he did not use Sharingan, so how could he clearly see the trajectories of more than twenty shurikens? ]
The questions in his mind did not affect his actions.
Shisui pulled his hands sharply, and the shuriken that had just been shot down flew back as if it was being pulled, faster than before. Their target is Giyu who is about to land.
Once he is hit by this number of shurikens, no matter how good his health is, he will inevitably be seriously injured.
What's even more fatal is that Giyu will be temporarily restricted by the silk thread, and he can only deal with Shisui's subsequent attacks.
"Second Form: Water Wheel."
Giyu's body that was about to land suddenly stopped, and he turned around in the air with a momentary stance, and used the blade to draw a perfect circle.
This time, Giyu only used the "Water Wheel" in a physical way, but the force was enough to cut off all the threads that were being retracted.
Then, he used his foot to pick up a shuriken that had fallen because it lost its traction.
After another jingling of chain impacts, they had a third life, but this time the target became Shisui.
[Very fine control. ]
Itachi, who was watching the battle from above, did not expect that Giyu, who had always sat aside and just watched during training, would actually be so familiar with Uchiha shuriken, which was no worse than when he had just activated the second tomoe.
Shisui had the same idea.
In addition, he once again confirmed the guess that Giyu can rival two tomoe in dynamic vision just by relying on his naked eyes.
[I can only say that he is worthy of being the only child with dark blue eyes among Uchiha? ]
Uchiha Shisui easily dodged the mere shurikens, but Giyu followed closely behind these shurikens, and the two once again started a close combat showdown.
The blades in their hands kept colliding with each other, both intending to cut each other's throats. The speed became faster and faster as the fight went, and each attack became more deadly. In less than a minute, they had fought hundreds of times, and finally It even got to the point where even Uchiha Itachi had to open his Sharingan to see clearly.
But the current results look like they can't hurt anyone.
Both of these people can rely on their eyesight to predict the direction of the opponent's attack and make decisions in advance to counterattack or dodge.
[As an ordinary jounin, relying solely on taijutsu, he would not be a match for Giyu. ]
Itachi made this judgment.
[However, Shisui's power is far more than that...]
"Peng!"
There was an explosion-like sound.
After a violent collision between the soles of their shoes, they each fell back a distance and stood apart.
Uchiha Itachi noticed that in comparison, Shisui's body retreated further, and his shoulders undulated more than Giyu. His hand holding the knife kept loosening and then re-squeezing it, and the Numbness in his arms seemed to be relieved.
Obviously, such a fierce kenjutsu showdown was a rare experience for Shisui. The difference in physical strength between the two determines that if he continues to fight like this, he will inevitably gradually fall into a disadvantage.
[Giyu’s physical fitness has improved a lot compared to last time. ]
"Your fighting instincts are really excellent, Giyu."
Shisui nodded appreciatively, "A qualified ninja will try his best to avoid a head-on fight before determining the opponent's strength, so he will try to constantly distract you. Using long-range ninja tools is only the simplest way."
"If a ninja doesn't want to attract other people's attention and plans to deal with the opponent secretly, he will use the simplest and most effective physical techniques to attack like we did before. So Giyu, if you see a masked ninja carrying a ninja sword like me, You should know that they are ANBU who are responsible for secretly killing targets. Each of these people is very powerful."
"Once you encounter them in the village and they attack you, you don't have to fight them. Just create a noise and attract the attention of the people around you. Do you understand?"
"..."
Giyu tilted his head, "But aren't you an ANBU?"
When Shisui said this, it was as if he had determined what the Anbu would do to him. Could it be that there were so many dangers in this peaceful village?
"Just like the differences between the village and Uchiha, the ANBU in Konoha are not monolithic. Some ANBU will attack anyone suspicious, even if they don't have evidence in their hands, just suspicion is enough."
After finishing speaking, Shisui added, "Of course, if you hide your power well like Itachi said before, they won't bother to trouble you. After all, you are just a child with no threat."
When he said this, he gently shook his nearly broken ninja sword, and the chipped blade immediately returned to its original shape, looking as good as new.
Anyway, in this illusion space, he is omnipotent. It's just restoring the weapon, it shouldn't be considered cheating.
"I see."
Giyu thought for a moment and nodded in agreement.
After what happened with Uzumaki Naruto, he already knew that the Hokage of Konoha was an irresponsible old man who couldn't even take care of the orphans' feeding issues. It seemed normal to have such disputes down there.
"Okay, now that the warm-up is over (since I can't beat you with physical skills alone)..."
Shisui spread his shoulders and took a deep breath of the air of the Valley of the End. The scene around him changed again.
They came to the sea outside the Water Country, and Uchiha Madara's statue followed them, and the counter in his eyes began to count down again.
And Uchiha Itachi was sitting speechlessly on top of his ancestor's head looking down.
"Giyu, next, it's time for you to experience what kind of battle you might face if you encounter a ninja in the wild."
Giyu was slightly stunned.
Because Shisui's voice came not only from the figure opposite, but also from behind him.
[when……]
A strong gust of wind suddenly hit his back.
"Second Form: Water Wheel!"
Giyu didn't have time to think too much. His body instinctively completed a big flip on the spot. The jagged ring-shaped water blade spilled out from his blade. While rotating and cutting at high speed, it quickly spread to the surroundings——
Shisui behind him turned into a puff of smoke the moment he was hit.
This time, in the middle of the ocean where water breathing operates extremely efficiently, he had no intention of saving chakra.
[Shadow clone? ]
Giyu turned his head fiercely to look at Shisui who was standing opposite him before. The ring-shaped water blade rolled towards him like a wheel, but Shisui seemed to have no intention of hiding.
Something strange happened——
A second ago, Shisui, whose internal organs were intact in the transparent world, suddenly turned into an extremely weak phantom of chakra.
The wheel of water that seemed to tear everything apart ran over Shisui, but passed through it like a cloud of smoke. And the phantom disappeared immediately.
[Is this an ordinary clone technique? ]
Giyu was a little confused, he didn't see the Shisui make any seal at all. Why does the entity directly become a clone?
Just as the clone disappeared, a sound as fast as the flapping of insect wings came from above his head.
Giyu raised his head, and at some point, Uchiha Shisui, who jumped into the air, had completed the seal.
He puffed up his flushed cheeks, and bright orange-red dots were ready between his teeth——
"Fire Release : Great Fireball!"
There was a loud bang, and the place where Giyu was was covered by a huge fireball more than five meters wide!
Seeing this scene, Uchiha Itachi clenched his fists unconsciously.
Although the Great Fireball is more used to obstruct sight than kill, but withstanding the high temperature and pressure caused by the explosion at such a close distance, Giyu will be seriously injured even if he does not die.
The sizzling steam rose up, and Shisui turned over and returned not far away, showing a "what a pity" expression.
"Wind Release: Gale Wind Palm!"
He blew out the strong wind from his palm, as if he wanted to see clearly the situation of Giyu and whether he was still alive.
But at this moment, a shadow suddenly appeared under his feet, and then a small hand grabbed his ankle and pulled him into the sea!
It was Giyu who removed the chakra from his feet under the attack of the Great Fireball Technique and took advantage of the situation to hide in the sea.
"Sixth Form: Whirlpool!"
The moment Shisui was dragged into the water, two waterspouts intertwined like pythons formed around him. The sneak-attacked Shisui was like a sea fish swept away by the undercurrent, spinning around inside.
However, the next moment, the figure that was so real a second ago disappeared again. Giyu finally no longer maintained his paralyzed indifference, but furrowed his eyebrows suspiciously.
He surfaced, and Shisui was smiling slyly not far away.
"The Kingdom of Water is a very suitable place for you to fight, but for me…"
"That's where I got that title, and the real power of those eyes."
He opened the three tomoe Sharingan and formed a seal with one hand, and suddenly a dozen figures exactly like him appeared behind him.
"Next..."
He drew out the Ninja Sword again and placed it on his chest. He gently touched the tip of the Ninja Sword with his left hand, showing a sweet smile that spoke easily.
"Body Flicker Technique, Giyu, please enlighten me."
