Naruto Escape From Konoha 116
🕑 Added 2023-10-01 05:04:02 +0000 UTCChapter 116 begins
In the office, Hiruzen picked up the report submitted by Anbu, opened it, and read it carefully.
As far as the degree of damage is concerned, because the battlefields are mainly concentrated in the northeast and southeast of the village, as well as in the forest of death, the damaged area of the buildings in the village is actually very limited, and it is not difficult to rebuild.
The inventory reserved by Konoha can completely resume operation in a short time without any major problems.
But the real problem is that after this turmoil, Konoha lost a total of nearly a hundred ninjas. Among them, about 10 jōnin ninjas died in the battle, and the Hyuga clan contributed half of them.
In addition, if you count the Uchiha clan and the Hyuga clan who defected and left, it is enough to make Konoha hurt.
A dozen or so Jōnin-level combat powers, placed on the battlefield, are fully capable of supporting a small-scale ninja battle.
Ignoring these huge losses, the departed Uchiha and Hyuga Clan ninjas are all special ninjas with Blood Successor Limit, and this is where Hyuga really finds it difficult.
The announcement of this matter will have a very bad impact on Konoha's reputation.
Especially during this sensitive period of war, it will definitely cause panic among the internal staff, as well as the unscrupulous gloating and ridicule of the enemy.
At this moment, the door of the office rang, and two consultants, Mitokado Homura and Utatane Koharu, walked in first, and behind them was the root leader Shimura Danzo.
The Anbu ninja who was waiting nearby saw this scene, took the initiative to leave with the teleportation technique, stepped aside, and left space for the high-level officials stay.
The three of them entered the office, stood there without saying a word, and finally turned to Utatane Koharu to break the oppressive silence, and asked Hiruzen, "How do you plan to deal with this matter?"
"I intend to play down the impact of this mass defection."
Hiruzen sighed, and looked straight at Utatane Koharu.
"Is a gag order issued?"
"Pursue the main culprits of the defection, erase the presence of the rest of the people." Hiruzen paused, and continued: "When the incident happened, the eyes of the ninjas in the village were all attracted by Kyuubi, so they didn't know much about Uchiha and Hyuga's situation. Even if someone guessed it, it was only a small number of ninjas. I have asked them to keep it a secret." ( Basically Just put all the limelight on Ruri and Shiraishi, hide the fact that other people also escaped.)
Utatane Koharu and Mitokado Homura looked at each other and nodded, this is indeed a solution.
Provide the information of the two main criminals, Chiba Shiraishi and Uchiha Ruri, and downplay the existence of the remaining accomplices.
Now is the age of war, allowing these accomplices to continue to "sacrifice" on the frontline battlefield as Konoha ninjas can explain why these people "disappeared" from the village. ( just tell they sacrificed themselves on battlefield)
But I also know that this is not a long-term solution. As for the excavation in the future, let's deal with it later.
The reason for the riot and fire in the Hyuga Clan that night can be explained as the encounter with a strong enemy attack. After the Hyuga Clan ninjas went all out, the enemy was finally wiped out, and some Hyuga ninjas were relatively sacrificed.
The most important thing now is to ensure the morale of Konoha Ninja and minimize the loss of the village's reputation.
As for the two main criminals, Chiba Shiraishi and Uchiha Ruri, they were too conspicuous, so there was no way to downplay them.
And such a big thing happened, it is always necessary to give a reasonable explanation, nail the two of them to the pillar of shame, let the Konoha ninjas share the same hatred, and divert their attention is also a good way.
"Danzo, what do you think?"
Hiruzen looked at Danzo and asked his opinion.
On the night of the turmoil, Danzo’s hard work also made him feel gratified. In the critical moment of the village, he was able to stand up to fight the enemy without hesitation, fight side by side with his fellow villagers, and assumed the responsibilities that Konoha ninjas should have.
"There is news from Uchiha that Uchiha Tenjin has retired for being too old."
Danzo said something that has nothing to do with the current topic.
"A dangerous name, he has lived from the Warring States Period to the present... He really has a long life."
Turning to sleep, Utatane Koharu showed fear on her face.
Uchiha Tenjin is one of the few ninjas in Konoha who have lived from the Warring States Period to today.
“When Hiruzen took over as Hokage, that old guy was trying his best to clean up Uchiha’s internal voice. Not long after that, Kagami died in a strange mission... This has to make people think of some bad things.”
Mitokado Homura sighed.
Since then, their monitoring of Uchiha has been completely cut off.
Without Uchiha Kagami to provide them with information, they completey lost control over the Uchiha clan and Uchiha clan has became a taboo area where they could not interfere at will.
"Don't talk about meaningless guesses, Kagami just died in the mission unfortunately."
Hiruzen didn’t want to make these meaningless guesses, after all, they had no evidence to prove that Uchiha Kagami died at the hands of his own clansmen.
It is quite normal for a ninja to die on a mission.
"However, it's too coincidental that the old guy abdicated at this time... Then who is the current Uchiha in power?"
Utatane Koharu asked.
"Uchiha Fugaku."
Danzo replied.
Danzo's answer did not surprise the three of them.
Uchiha Ruri has defected and become an extremely dangerous S-rank defected ninja. Now, among Uchiha's younger generation, only Uchiha Fugaku is the one who can become the leader.
"Just pay attention, as long as the old guy doesn't continue to live in seclusion in Uchiha, he will be in power behind the scenes."
At this time, Mitokado Homura handed over a form and put it on Hiruzen's desk.
"This is?"
"The branch pharmacy of Aster Flower Company was affected by the previous turmoil, and some medicines seem to be damaged. Although they haven't asked for compensation yet, I think it's better to deal with it as soon as possible. We can't damage the reputation of the village at this time."
"Afterwards, I will send someone over to negotiate, and compensate them 10% higher than the selling price."
This is the fault of Konoha's ineffective supervision, and Aster Flower Company is the biggest victim, and Konoha must take the initiative to bear this responsibility.
Even if the kingdom of Demons is a neutral country and is far away from the country of fire, its relationship cannot be bad.
Nation of Fire and Konoha do not appear to be short on funds, and they have the confidence to undertake it.
Mitokado Homura nodded, he also meant the same thing.
At this time, it is also good to be able to win over an ally, not to mention that the Aster Flower Company has promised to provide Konoha with medical supplies during the war, which can save Konoha a lot of energy.
Thinking about it carefully, the Aster Flower Company is really a timely help.
This neutral ally who can solve part of the medical pressure really made them feel better.
After the three of them left, Hiruzen picked up the cigarette stick on the table and smoked vigorously.
Cough cough.
Take out a slightly thin document from the drawer.
There is a name written on the top—Chiba Shiraishi.
There are also a few photos posted below, including a group photo of Sakumo's team, as well as photos of his school days, ninja days, and teenage years.
There are many evaluations given by teachers in the evaluation column.
—Students who are diligent, kind and hardworking. He is often seen reading books in the library and borrows books every week. He very interested in medical field. He can be trained according to his interests. (Chunin Ninja Fujimura Taiga)
—He has an ordinary talent in medical ninjutsu, and you can neither have high expectations from him, but he will not disappoint. Although the theory knowledge is good, becoming a first-class medical ninja still lacks flexibility. But relying on hard work, one can become the best among the first-class medical ninjas. (Anbu Medical Ninja)
—When performing tasks, he understands the role of a medical ninja, never acts impulsively, stays calm, understands his own flaws and strengths, and is responsible for the lives of his companions... It can be said that he is afraid of death, but because of this, he is undoubtedly qualified as a medical ninja and is the medical core of the team. Permission to stay in the squad continues. (Sakumo Hatake, Jonin)
—The amount of knowledge is amazing, occasionally there will be some unexpected proposals, the teaching ability is also relatively good, and the students like him very much. (Jonin Tsunade)
—The excellent Chunin who inherited the will of fire, the bridge connecting the village and Uchiha. (Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen)
"..."
Hiruzen let out a sigh of relief, looking at the last comment, there seemed to be a mocking smile on it.
To him, how dazzling and angry this is.
Take out the black pen, cross out the last comment, and write another sentence.
—good at hiding, cruel temperament. The medical level is unknown, and the ninjutsu ability is unknown... The ninjas that exist like shadows in the mist are extremely dangerous.
"Send this document to the Ministry of Intelligence."
Hiruzen closed the document and said.
"Yes, Hokage-sama."
Anbu appeared from the side, picked up this information document, and then left with the teleportation technique, heading to the intelligence department.
••••
Uchiha clan land.
Ruri's original residence has been taken over by Anbu.
"Is that all there is?"
Every room, every thing, was searched carefully.
However, the things collected are just some normal decorations. In addition, there are some books related to basic medical ninjutsu.
Even if you want to find something useful from it, it is completely impossible.
"Yes. That's all. Many rooms are empty."
Respond to the sentence of Anbu squad leader.
"It's all normal stuff, nothing unusual."
Squad leader Anbu picked up a book, flipped through it roughly, and then closed it.
"Do you want to take them all back?"
"Of course, take them all away, and send them to the intelligence department. Although I don't think we can get any useful information from here, this is also part of the job, and nothing cannot be left behind."
Squad leader Anbu gave instructions to his subordinates.
The rest of the Anbu staff nodded, collected all the objects and books, even some suspicious scrolls, put them in a huge box, and transported them outside one by one.
"However, I didn't expect that the guy who usually looks ordinary would be such a dangerous existence."
During the carrying process, an Anbu ninja sighed.
"Yes, we were on the battlefield at the time, and we had no room to make a move. Just feeling the atmosphere, I almost suffocated."
Squad leader Anbu also sighed.
If that's considered a ninja level, it's really scary.
The feeling that life may end at any time, as if you are located in the core area of the battlefield, and you don't know when your life will be taken away by the enemy.
Life and death are not independent.
"Well, excuse me..."
Just as they were transporting things outside, a soft voice stepped in.
It was a girl with short brown hair, about eight or nine years old.
Beside her, there is an Uchiha boy wearing sun visors.
"Who are you? What's the matter?"
Seeing someone coming, the Anbu didn't care. When they were searching for things here, there were many people watching.
"I am Rin Nohara, a student of the ninja school. Well, I want to ask about Senior Shiraishi... I heard that he defected. Is this true?"
Rin had a certain kind of hope on her face, and she couldn't believe it was true until now.
"It's true. Also, don't call him senior, he's just a dangerous rebel now. Did you know the turmoil that happened in the village that night? He and others did it."
Squad leader Anbu has seen this kind of thing a lot, but he explained it patiently.
Respected seniors or close friends defected, this kind of thing is uncomfortable for anyone.
But ninja is such a profession, often accompanied by parting and death.
"How come... Is there any misunderstanding here?"
"Misunderstanding? So many people have died, it's not a simple misunderstanding that can be cleared up. Give up your fantasy. I saw his coldness and ruthlessness with my own eyes that night. No matter how you try to explain him, he is by no means the respectable senior medical ninja in your impression. The next time you meet him, he will kill you without hesitation. It is best to give up this boring fantasy as soon as possible."
Squad leader Anbu said in a calm tone.
Ignoring Rin who was sluggishly there, he carried the things away.
"Captain, is this too cruel? She is still a student of the ninja school..."
Anbu member said.
Although they have abandoned their identities on the bright side, they don't want such young children to be exposed to the cruel side of the world so quickly.
"This incident happened around her, and I can't help it. Rather than let her have this illusion, it's better to cut it off directly. To deceive her is the real cruelty and harm. The other party is a defected ninja, and he will not keep his hand just because he is a former companion."
“I wish she could come out of the shadows.”
"Then bless her."
"By the way, Captain, do you think they defected because of Sakumo Jonin..."
The Anbu staff seemed to have thought of something, and the volume dropped.
"There is no evidence for this kind of thing, don't just talk about it."
Squad leader Anbu gave him a cold look.
Anbu ninja shut up and stopped talking.
"Rin, are you still thinking about that guy?"
Watching the Anbu's lift up the boxes full of items and leave, the Uchiha boy next to Rin, Uchiha Obito, looked at Rin with worried eyes.
"Senior Shiraishi, why did he..."
Hearing what Rin said, Obito knew that Rin was still hoping that this matter was false.
Obito turned his head silently, passed the gate, and looked at the empty courtyard inside. There was no one in this luxurious residence.
That bastard! He made Rin so sad! Next time I see you, I will never let you go! Obito clenched his fists determinedly.
In order to make Rin happy, he must beat that person hard to let his anger out!
"Rin, I promise you, sooner or later I will find that guy to find out why I left the village. This matter is on my shoulders! I am an elite ninja of the Uchiha clan!"
Obito made a serious promise to Rin like this.
"Well, thank you, Obito...I'm fine now."
Seeing that Rin was still pushing herself, Obito felt a pang in his heart.
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, that bastard is dead, he must be beaten to death, how dare he make Rin so sad! Obito's heart was already filled with anger and dissatisfaction with Shiraishi.
••••
after one day-
In the capital of the country of fire, Aster Flower Branch Pharmacy.
"Boss, this is the latest wanted notice issued by Konoha."
After the bug man knocked on the door and got permission, he came in from the outside, brought the news to Shiraishi, and put a copy of the wanted list issued by Konoha in front of Shiraishi.
Shiraishi was interested in picking it up.
The bug man said from the side: "To be honest, this arrest warrant was issued a little later than expected."
With Konoha's action power, it is impossible to issue the arrest warrant so slowly.
They are still in the land of fire. According to the previous speed, they should have arrived yesterday, and the rest of the countries will receive the wanted list one after another in two or three days.
As a result, they stayed in the Land of Fire and only received the wanted list until today.
"After all, they have to consider the balance of all aspects and minimize the impact. On the contrary, things like the wanted list are the least of their concern. It is expected that it will be released later."
As for the chasing troops, Iwagakure(rock village) has also joined the battle now. After seeing the strength they showed that night, as long as there is no problem with their brains, they should know that the most important thing now is not to deal with their rebellion.
If this war is lost, even if they succeed in chasing down their rebels, it will be meaningless, and they will lose troops.
Shiraishi read the wanted notice issued by Konoha, which was basically in line with his expectations.
—Konoha Ninja Chiba Shiraishi, Chunin, the purpose of defection is unknown, he was charged with attacking the village and killing his colleagues, this person is extremely dangerous, and today he is declared as an 'S' rank rebel.
As for Ayane... there is no record of information, and it was directly hidden.
I guess They didn't want the rest of the village to know the existence of Byakugan, so They hide it on purpose.
A gag order may have been issued to insiders.
After all, on the night of the incident, Ayane faced the fewest Konoha ninjas, and most of them died at her hands. As long as a gag order is issued to the few who survived, they can be temporarily concealed.
If he and Ruri hadn’t had too much quarrel, and there were too many witnesses, it was hard to quell the resentment, maybe there wasn’t even a ‘betrayal’ in this defection, only secrets circulated inside.
Therefore, there are only him and Ruri on the defection list.
It is only a defected ninja designated as S-rank, which means that it is extremely dangerous.
Ayane, members of the branch family of the Hyuga clan and defectors of the Uchiha clan, none of them were mentioned, and they were deliberately hidden.
"As expected of Hokage... Are you sure we don't want to make things big?"
The tacit understanding maintained by both parties.
I have to say that this is indeed Shiraishi's consideration.
Konoha is busy with the war and has no spare power to pursue them.
On their side, they also need to reduce their sense of presence as much as possible. At least at the current stage, they can't act with great fanfare, and they need to act in secret.
Shiraishi can probably understand Hokage's mind.
Balancing the situation in the village and overcoming the difficulties of the war in front of him is his top priority, rather than assigning forces to deal with the dangerous rebellion.
"Leaving aside Konoha for the time being, will there be people in other villages coveting the power of Sharingan?"
The bug man asked about his worries.
Although a lot of key information has been faded, Ruri's Sharingan is likely to arouse some people's greed.
"Probably has an idea, but where do they get the information from?"
Shiraishi asked back.
The bug man thought that there were only charges and grades on the wanted list, as well as some basic information, but none of the key parts were mentioned.
Shiraishi continued: "Although Ruri and I have defected, our ninjutsu ability and combat style are the core secrets of a village. Even the allies will not share information."
Shiraishi didn't care about the pursuit of the rest of the villages.
After this incident, the intelligence information of these people will be classified as Konoha's top secret, and only high-level officials such as Hokage and their cronies are eligible to touch it.
Konoha has already stated that he and Ruri are S-rank defected ninjas, which means that they are powerful and... dangerous.
Others villages ninjas want to come and pursue them. They must first determine their whereabouts, and then send ninja troops over to test and obtain capability information, which is accompanied by a lot of time, energy, funds, and personnel losses.
For the Sharingan that is still uncertain, it must be accompanied by such a huge sacrifice, which is not worth the candle.
This is also the reason why ninjas from other villages don't like to deal with rebellious ninjas from other villages.
"I see."
"How is the arrangement over there?"
"The people of Uchiha and Hyuga have been transferred in batches. If there are no problems, they will arrive safely in the country of Demons in the morning of the day after tomorrow."
The worm man replied.
Shiraishi nodded. With Ruri and Ayane following him all the way, even if kage came in person, he might not be able to get any benefits, so they don't worry about safety on the road.
"Let's move quickly here. Although I can guess some, I can't completely relax my vigilance. Put more smoke bombs, no matter whether Konoha sends chasing troops or not, these follow-up tasks must not be left behind."
"yes."
Just as the big man was about to leave, the ground wavered, and General Earth protruded from the floor.
It held a letter in its hand, handed it to Shiraishi, and continued to lurk.
"Who's letter?"
The bug man was a little curious.
"The staff I have placed in Konoha Hospital may have something important to report to me."
After Shiraishi replied, he opened the letter and read the contents above.
Seeing that Shiraishi's face seemed to have changed a lot, the man's heart tightened, thinking that there was a huge change in Konoha, and it was aimed at himself.
"What's wrong?"
"Namikaze Minato is not dead."
Shiraishi's expression became strangely silent.
"Namikaze Minato?"
"A very tricky Konoha ninja, I thought he was dead."
Shiraishi narrowed his eyes, what's going on? How could he not be dead?
The shadow dancer's shadow blade had already pierced the opponent's heart at that time. Even if Tsunade performed the operation herself, it was impossible to save the person in such a bad situation.
He is very clear about Konoha's medical level, that kind of injury can already be judged as death.
Continuing to read, Shiraishi realized what happened.
"Mount Myōboku..."
He uttered these words.
"Mount Myōboku?"
Shiraishi thought for a while, and issued a puzzling order:
"Separate some people to collect books that record ancient history, especially legends and histories about Sages, and focus on collecting."
