🕑 Added 2023-09-27 07:01:13 +0000 UTCChapter 42: The Joining Of Naguri
【"This is all created by the residents of the terminal led by Roja." Although Fujitora is blind, he is very clear that the current terminal is completely different from when they first came. 】
[The deep emotions of everyone here are the best proof. 】
【"Roja? Is that the boy from before?" Naguri asked in surprise. At the very beginning, he felt that the boy had a high status here. 】
【"Yes, that's him." Fujitora nodded. 】
["It's unbelievable, unbelievable, such a young boy can actually do this, it's a miracle." Naguri used miracles to describe the changes here. 】
[For him who knows what this place used to be, this change is indeed a miracle. 】
【Accompanied by Fujitora, Naguri walked around the entire camp. His expression changed from being shocked at the beginning to becoming complicated at the end. 】
["Old man, After listening to your tone, you seem to know this place very well?" Fujitora asked. 】
[At this moment, Naguri, with them, is still the mysterious pirate who fought against Roger, and the danger is still extremely high, so Fujitora wants to find out his origin and get more information about him. 】
【"You may not believe it, but I grew up here." Naguri said with emotion. 】
【"I grew up in the gray terminal. I have lived here for more than 20 years. I know the harsh environment here better than anyone else, so I fled here desperately and became a pirate."】
【"It's been more than forty years in a flash. I thought I would never come back here again, but unexpectedly, I finally came back here." Naguri's expression was a little relieved. 】
[He was very wary of Roja and this camp at the beginning, after all, he was seriously injured. 】
[However, after discovering that this place was once the gray terminal that he grew up in, he developed a great affection for Roja, who transformed everything here. 】
[Then after visiting the entire camp, he had a thorough understanding of the situation here. 】
[During this process, his vigilance towards Fujitora and Roja has actually dropped a lot. 】
[Being a pirate for so many years, with so much experience in life, at least in terms of personality, Naguri will not be too bad. 】
【He knows very well what the gray terminal was like before, and he also knows how difficult it is to transform it into what it is now. 】
[The person who can do such a thing is definitely not a bad person. 】
[So in the face of Fujitora's inquiry, he easily revealed his identity. 】
【"Pirates?" Fujitora also feigned surprise at the right time. 】
【"Yes, pirate, but you can also rest assured that I am not some vicious pirate. I have never done anything to rob civilians." Naguri explained. 】
【"I believe in you." Fujitora has knowledgeable emotional perception, and can feel that Naguri is not a vicious person. 】
【"You can recuperate your injuries here for a few days, and you don't have to worry about other things. After you heal your injuries, you can decide for yourself whether to stay or not."】
【"Thank you very much." Naguri thanked. 】
【Fujitora didn't say anything more, but turned and left. 】
[The brief communication allowed Fujitora to determine what kind of person Naguri is like]
[He is not worried about what Naguri will do here. 】
[He can even feel that the aging Naguri has some inexplicable feelings for this hometown that was once full of ugliness. 】
【Perhaps he will stay here for a few more days. 】
[Fujitora is very accurate in seeing people. After self-destructing his eyes, he got something even more rare. 】
[Time passed by just like that, five days have passed since Naguri was rescued from ashore. 】
[In five days, under Naguri's strong physique, his body has fully recovered. 】
【 The Sword attack that Roger used at him was originally not intended for killing him. For his level, it is not fatal】
[During the five days, Naguri really blended into the camp like an ordinary old man]
[In the morning, he follows the training, and in the afternoon he can also go to the field to do some farm work and chat with some old people in the camp]
【In the evening, he even participated in the ideological study in the camp】
【After Roja learned about Naguri from Fujitora, he gave him the green light】
[But to be honest, there is nothing to hide from the current daily affairs of their camp. 】
【Naguri often comes to Roja to ask some questions, and some questions really surprised Roja】
[During the exchange, both of them have gained a lot]
[Roja's advanced thinking and advanced methods have explained many doubts for Naguri, which are accumulated from what he has seen and heard in his more than 40 years of sea voyage career. 】
[And Roja is also absorbing his rich life experience from Naguri, an old man in his sixties and seventies, and has a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the status quo of this world. 】
[An old man in his sixties or seventies has lived a long life in this chaotic world, and what is even more commendable is that he has been sailing all over the world for more than forty years. 】
[What they have seen and heard, life experience, is a kind of very precious wealth. 】
[During the conversation, Naguri seemed to be thinking about something. Finally, after the exchange ended that night, Naguri made a decision]
【"Mr. Roja, can a former pirate like me join the Revolutionary Army?" Naguri asked seriously. 】
【Naguri has been thinking about this for a while. 】
[Since being defeated by Roger, he has basically given up his pirate career in his heart]
【It's not that he didn't think about looking for his lost companions in the past, but he finally gave up on this idea. 】
[He is almost seventy years old, and his old buddies are not young anymore. At this age, he starts to think about other things. 】
[He used to set foot on the sea in order to escape from here. The sea has contained his life for more than forty years, but now, he suddenly wants to do something else. 】
[This kind of thought was originally very light, but during the past few days in the camp, this thought took root in his heart. 】
[I escaped from my hometown for more than 40 years, a place full of painful memories, looking back, it has turned into a peaceful and hopeful place. 】
【This feeling is both shocking and yearning. He has been here very fulfillingly these few days. 】
[He has never been so fulfilled. When he was a child, he imagined such a scene more than once in the dreamland in this garbage dump, and now it has become a reality. 】
【He wants to join this revolutionary army. From here, Naguri sees the hope of changing this decadent world. 】
【"As long as you have not committed any unforgivable crimes, the Revolutionary Army will not reject comrades like you to join."】
【"Welcome Revolutionary army, Comrade Naguri." Roja smiled and held out his hand. 】
【Naguri stretched out his hand in a daze. At this moment, he seemed to see the sea in this young man, that incomparably vast, far-reaching, and inclusive sea. 】
