The country of Demons is a construction site surrounded by circles.
"Shinra Tensei!"
Pieces of stone bricks flew in the air, and under the control of magical gravity, they were stacked neatly on the four-wheeled cart.
Such a miraculous scene attracted exclamation and applause from a large number of workers.
Facing the one after another admiration from the people around him, Nagato felt slightly shy.
Because he used the important ninjutsu used in battle on the work on the construction site, he always felt that the ninjutsu he had worked so hard to practice was suspected of being wasted.
Although the eyes of the surrounding workers were full of kindness, and they didn't think there was anything strange about the ninja using ninjutsu to help transport the stone bricks, but Nagato hadn't gotten used to the rhythm here, so naturally he couldn't empathize.
But pinching the flyer in his hand, he temporarily suppressed his embarrassment.
—Honestly recruit brick movers, ninjas are preferred. Three meals are free during the working period, and the daily salary is 10,000 ryō.
After several days of long journey, he and Konan came to the country of Demon, which is far away from the country of rain, this special country enjoys the status of a neutral country in the ninja world.
In this country, the culture of shrines and witches can be seen everywhere, and the strong mystic atmosphere allowed Nagato to enjoy the exotic scenery once.
But this appreciation cannot last long after all, because he and Konan came to this country with an extremely important task on their shoulders.
The largest chamber of commerce in the land of Demons is the Aster Flower Chamber of Commerce named after the capital Aster City. Their target Aster Flower Pharmaceutical Technology Company this time is also affiliated with this chamber of commerce.
It is a large chamber of commerce group spanning many countries.
Internationally, it is well-known.
It is said that when Aster Flower Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. was initially established, the promotion and promotion of this chamber of commerce was indispensable.
All in all, Akatsuki needs to look up to the extent of the convergence of money.
Konan was responsible for the supply of medicines, while Nagato wandered alone in Aster City and found a temporary job by chance.
Different from the people of the Land of Rain, the people of the Land of Demons have full faces and an optimistic attitude towards life, which is incomparable to the Land of Rain in the poor and hard-hit areas.
This made Nagato envious.
But I also know that this is the special right of a neutral country, and it brings various advantages and benefits.
Judging from the geographical environment of the Country of Rain, it is impossible to become a neutral country.
As soon as a big country launches a war, the Country of Rain is the first country to bear the brunt.
The economy is collapsing, the people are displaced, starving, and domestic politics are corrupt. It is not an exaggeration to say that the daimyo and many nobles have become puppets of a big country.
Even so, the people of the Land of Rain have never been defeated. In every crisis, there will always be someone who will stand up and set an example for the suffering people of the Land of Rain.
Thinking of this, Nagato's heart was filled with the strength to fight.
As the output of chakra increased, more stone bricks flew to the four-wheeled transport vehicle under the control of his ninjutsu "Shinra Tensei
", and placed them neatly for the workers in charge of transportation to push them away.
It was not until dusk in the afternoon, when the sun was setting, that the person in charge of the construction site asked everyone to stop working and began to settle today's salary.
Nagato took the salary he got at the construction site in his hand, and found that it was not the 10,000 ryō written on the flier, but a full 50,000 ryō of salary.
"Well, it seems that there are too many..."
Nagato was about to return the extra 40,000 ryō, but the person in charge of the construction site stopped him and said with a smile: "Take it, kid, you have done a workload that dozens of people may not be able to complete by themselves. The extra 40,000 ryō is an extra reward."
If Nagato doesn't take the money, he will feel uneasy.
Thanks to Nagato, tomorrow's work was completed ahead of schedule.
"…Thanks."
Nagato is not a talkative person, but he is very sensitive to people's goodwill and malice.
He can feel the enthusiasm and sincerity of the people here, which is very different from the people of the Land of Rain who are in need of charity.
Holding fifty thousand ryō, Nagato felt heavy satisfaction in his hands.
In the memory of his life, he has never received such a large amount of money.
Thinking of Konan's 10 million ryō of debt from Aster Flower Pharmaceutical Company, that is to say, he only needs to work on the construction site for 200 days, and he can almost pay off that part of the debt for Konan.
Is this the power of rinnegan eyes? Looking at his hands, Nagato felt such emotion in his heart.
He has never discovered before that the pupil power of the rinnegan eye can make money so easily.
It’s just that, recruiting ninjas to work on the construction site, the country of Demons is also a strange country.
Nagato thinks so.
In his past consciousness, ninjas existed as tools for fighting, and even Akatsuki mostly took jobs related to fighting.
Suppressing the bandits in the Land of Rain, and also dealing with those wandering ninjas doing sabotage in the Land of Rain, are Akatsuki's main cleanup targets.
Not to mention the ninja village organizations of the five major countries, they have formed a more complete task system, representing a country's military strength, and thus determining its status in the ninja world.
When working on the construction site before, Nagato found no less than a dozen people who were ninjas. According to their conversations, they seemed to be special workers resident here. The characteristics of ninjutsu are also very suitable for various complicated jobs on the construction site.
This made Nagato very puzzled. It's not that ninjas can't do some ordinary people's work, but it's only a temporary job, and the main job is still focused on fighting.
This is the first time Nagato has seen a country like the Demon Ninja that specializes in cultivating this special type of ninja, so it is inevitable that there will be a novel experience.
"Nagato, where have you been? I have been waiting for you here for a long time."
Gathering at the door of a hotel in Aster City, Nagato was late, Konan complained very much.
"Sorry, this city is too prosperous, I got carried away for a while."
Nagato scratched his head and apologized to Konan.
"Really, we are not here for tourism."
"How is the purchase of drugs?"
Nagato asked about the purchase of medicines.
"I have already purchased everything. Sure enough, the price of medicines in this country is much cheaper than in other places, saving a lot of money than expected."
Konan seemed very satisfied, a smile appeared on het face.
Although the long-distance journey was a bit tiring, but being able to purchase such a large amount of complete medicines and even have some money left over, it was indeed the right choice to come to the Kingdom of Demons this time.
"That would be wonderful."
"Our Akatsuki's activity funds have always been very tight, and now we can finally save part of it for emergencies."
Seeing Konan's really happy that day, Nagato's heart was slightly touched.
—At any time, I only need to protect this smile and everyone’s dreams are enough.
He silently swears in his heart.
The heavier the burden on his shoulders, the more Nagato can feel how firm his belief in longing for peace and eliminating war is.
"Konan..."
"What's wrong, Nagato?"
Hearing Nagato calling his name, Konan looked up at him suspiciously.
"No, it's nothing. I'm thinking that we have achieved a lot this time, and Yahiko and everyone will be very happy."
"Of course they are happy, after all, they have so much money left over this time. However, Yahiko went to negotiate with Sand Village and Konoha's ninja, so it shouldn't be a problem..."
Speaking of this, Konan's face was obviously worried.
Those are the ninjas of the five major countries, which are fundamentally different from the ninjas of their small countries.
Whether it is Konoha or Sand Village, they are not someone that they can provoke.
"At the beginning, even lord Hanzo had to compromise with Konoha..."
The leader of Hidden Rain Village, Hanzō of the Salamander, is a legendary ninja famous in the Land of Rain.
Even he compromised in the battle situation because of the strength of Konoha, and the Akatsuki organization, which is insignificant in the Kingdom of Rain, can't reverse the will of those big ninjas no matter what they think.
Konan suddenly felt that it was a very risky act for Yahiko to negotiate with the ninjas of Sand Village and Konoha.
"Yahiko will definitely succeed! Even if we fail this time, there will be a next time. As long as we are still fighting, Akatsuki's will will be passed on from generation to generation. Sooner or later, it will bring true peace."
Nagato's eyes were extremely firm.
Konan also nodded, if they even admit defeat, they would be ashamed to see themselves in the past.
"Then let's go back to the Land of Rain. That's our home field."
••••
Rōran, in the quiet room where the dragon vein sealing device is stored.
From the closed eye device, purple light seeps out, which is the color of dragon chakra, which is different from the color of ordinary chakra.
Ruri appeared here alone, staring at the sealing device of the dragon vein, as if thinking about something.
"Don't you have any thoughts about the remaining half of the dragon vein power?"
Ayane appeared at the door of the quiet room, ate the freshly warmed pancakes in her hand, walked in and asked Ruri curiously.
“I just thought things were a little weird.”
"Strange? What's weird?"
Ayane didn't quite know what Ruri was alluding to.
Dealing with the time-space disruptors who arrived here from another time and space, secretly solved the crisis in Rōran, took away half of the dragon vein core, making the power of the dragon vein incomplete, and prohibited people from other time and space from using the power of the dragon vein to come to this time and space to make trouble.
As Shiraishi said, they have no control over other time and space, but the order of this time and space they live in cannot be disturbed.
"Dragon veins are the natural energy of the earth with the help of the power of the earth. Unless the natural energy of the earth is exhausted, in theory, even if half of the core is taken away now, it will only weaken the dragon veins for a while. After more than ten years or decades, it may recover again, and once again have the power to travel to the future or the past."
Ruri's words slowed down Ayane's eating of pancakes, and revealed a look of thinking.
After Ruri's reminder, the truth of the matter is indeed a bit weird.
"Maybe it happened suddenly, he was a little careless, so he was a little negligent?"
Ayane tilted her head.
"Neglected? I really can't imagine a man like him making such a low-level mistake."
There was a sneer on Ruri's face, and she disagreed with Ayane's point of view.
Ayane glared at Ruri in dissatisfaction, always feeling that this Sharingan woman seemed to have mastered an important secret that cannot be told, but she was kept in the dark.
"If you knew that there is a power that can travel through time and space in the world, what would you do?"
Ruri didn't answer the question.
"Hmm... I will probably use this power when I encounter some difficult setbacks, and go back to the time when things still have room to turn around. After all, it is such a convenient power, it would be too wasteful not to use it like this."
Ayane pondered for a moment, then answered Ruri's question.
Most people think this way, or when they regret something, they want to go back to the past and change the history that has happened.
Ayane also has things that she regrets and wants to restore. Even though she knows that it has happened in history, if one day she can't bear the pressure, she might use this power to go back to the past and change some things.
"So what should I do if I still fail when I go back to the past?"
"Continue to return to the time and space where there is no failure. If you still fail, then continue to reverse the time and space and repeat this failure process. If you encounter the past self blocking it, you may even kill her..."
Thinking along Ruri's train of thought, Ayane shuddered a little, and her movements of eating pancakes froze completely.
She didn't think about the situation at all.
At this time, she realized how terrifying and daunting the dragon vein's power to travel through time and space is.
Compared with this, the resurrection of the dead, which violates the laws of nature, is nothing more than that.
"Then Shiraishi-kun is..."
Ayane's tone trembled a little.
"I'm afraid there is also a reason for fear that I will become such a person, so I deliberately sealed that memory."
Ruri thinks so.
Otherwise, Shiraishi would not have asked Katsuyu to come to the kingdom of Demons, write the past, and pass on the real history to the human collective.
"Whether it is the history that will happen in the future or the history that has happened in the past, it is what has happened and is a real history. If at that time, he uses the power of dragon veins to travel through time and space to benefit himself, he will become the person he hates and despises the most."
Ayane fell silent.
Thinking of Shiraishi's plan to lay out in the kingdom of Demons, although he still can't see all of it, he also knows that it is definitely a kind of earth-shaking change that subverts the previous cognition.
Arranging such a huge plan, no one can guarantee that it will be successful until it reaches the end.
In case of failure, I can't help but use the power of the dragon veins to return to the time and space before the failure.
Then you meet yourself who has not changed your beliefs in the past, and a life-and-death fight is inevitable.
Maybe you will fall into a sad cycle of constant failure and repetition. Rather than becoming the kind of image that makes you feel disgusting, it is better not to know anything at the beginning.
"Honestly, I kind of regret backing up that memory about the future."
Ruri sighed, this is probably a real feeling that ignorance is happiness.
"I've already done it, I don't plan to erase that part of my memory."
Ayane was a little sullen.
"But maybe this kind of thing is also in his expectation."
Ruri said suddenly.
"Huh? What do you mean?"
Ayane was stunned.
"Fake shows are real, but he is good at it."
Ruri didn't explain too much, but checked the seal of the dragon vein device, and the bright red three tomoe Sharingan eye appeared.
"Release!"
The seal on the ground was immediately covered with new spells, covering the original seal.
"The composition of this sealing technique is..."
After reading it, Ruri paused for a moment, then continued:
"As expected of his handwriting, things are really impeccable."
Ayane also came over to look at the seal covering the top layer, showing a look of astonishment.
She didn't expect that Shiraishi's sealing technique to seal the dragon's veins would be this sealing technique.
This also means that all Ruri's guesses just now are likely to be correct.
•••
Rōran Minister Anrokuzan kidnapped the people of Rōran privately and built a puppet weapon factory underground in the city.
The Rōran Queen didn't want to believe what she saw, but the people who were kidnapped to the city's underground weapons factory were civilians who disappeared in Rōran a while ago.
Each of them was tortured to be skinny and ragged. After Anrokuzan disappeared, the puppet soldiers lost the control and stop function, so they escaped from the underground factory and reported the crime of Minister Anrokuzan.
After investigation, the Queen of Rōran had to believe that Anrokuzan, the minister who was loyal to her, was a criminal who had evil intentions against Rōran.
On that day, the Queen of Rōran ordered a search for Anrokuzan throughout Rōran, and he must be caught and given an explanation to the people.
After entrusting this task to the soldiers, Rōran Queen came alone to the quiet room where the dragon veins were sealed, and carefully checked the seal here.
Those puppet soldiers, according to the statements of the kidnapped people, Anrokuzan is using her trust to wantonly use the chakra of the dragon veins here to create a large number of puppet soldiers in an attempt to control Rōran, and may even launch a war with the outside world, and put Rōran into a place where there will be no redemption.
Just thinking of this, Rōran Queen trembled with fear.
After checking in the quiet room for a while, Rōran Queen found that the seal device of the dragon vein was intact, so she planned to further check the situation of the dragon vein.
"!?"
The queen had a look of surprise on her face.
The deeper core of the dragon vein cannot be reached.
You must know that each generation of queens in Rōran has a special power to connect with the dragon veins, and can touch the core of the dragon veins, which is the most important source of power to form the dragon veins.
Suddenly, the sealing spell on the ground lit up, and Rōran Queen took a step back in fright.
On top of the original sealing spell, the new sealing spell was immediately covered, and it was also connected with the dragon vein.
"This is... that guy from Anrokuzan!"
Rōran Queen was the first to think of Anrokuzan who had not yet been captured. The other party must want to privately possess the power of the dragon veins, so he set up a new sealing technique here, making her connection with the dragon veins worse than before.
Although it is still possible to control the dragon vein chakra, allowing the dragon vein chakra to give Rōran a large amount of energy, but the connection with the dragon vein core is covered by the new sealing technique, thus cutting off.
And she can feel that the power of the dragon veins is only half of the original power, which is still less.
Besides Anrokuzan, Rōran Queen couldn't think of anyone else who could easily approach this place, tamper with the spells here, and steal the power of the dragon vein.
"Your Majesty."
Back to the palace, the guards came in to report.
"How is it, has Anrokuzan caught it?"
There is still half of the dragon vein power that has been taken away from Anrokuzan, which deserves Rōran Queen's attention.
"Please forgive me, Your Majesty. Anrokuzan is now missing, and I have searched every corner of Rōran, but there is no trace of him."
The guard replied.
Rōran Queen sighed.
It’s been so long, and Anrokuzan has not been captured yet, so he must have escaped from Rōran’s territory by now and hid elsewhere.
Thinking of this, she couldn't help but get a headache.
I really want to recover that half of the dragon vein power, but Rōran can only be self-sufficient and has no influence in the world.
It is obviously impossible to use the power of those big countries to hunt down Anrokuzan.
•••
A few days later.
Shiraishi, who returned to the Demon country from Rōran, discussed the handling of dragon veins with Katsuyu's clone in a laboratory.
"Shiraishi-sama, this does not seem to be a complete dragon vein."
Katsuyu took a closer look at the dragon vein core that Shiraishi took out, and saw at a glance that this core was not the essence of the complete dragon vein power.
"Yes, this is half of the core of the dragon vein. Because the city of Rōran is built on the dragon vein, half of the core must be left to prevent the city's underground from collapsing."
"Is that so? Since Rōran and dragon vein are connected as one, we really can't act rashly."
Based on this consideration, Shiraishi made such a decision, Katsuyu was not surprised, but took it for granted.
"How about it, Katsuyu, do you have any suggestions?"
Shiraishi asked the Katsuyu for advice.
Katsuyu thought for a moment, then answered Shiraishi's question:
"Although it is a core, the core itself is just a container that can hold Chakra. Lord Shiraishi, please allow me to take this half of the dragon vein core back to the Shikkotsu Forest and cultivate it for a while to store enough Chakra."
Katsuyu gives a sharp evaluation.
The loss of Chakra in this half of the core is already quite serious, and the Chakra that can be used is not enough to meet the expectations Shiraishi.
If you want the container to exert its due ability and effect, you must refill it with chakra to exert the original power of the dragon vein.
Judging from the upper limit of reserves of half a dragon vein core, it is enough to be comparable to the chakra of the tailed beast level.
"However, I didn't expect the power of the dragon veins to be so much weaker than when I saw it before. The dragon veins under Rōran may be ruined in a hundred years."
Shiraishi couldn't understand how powerful the dragon veins were in the past, but the power of the current dragon veins was enough for him.
"That's all for the processing of the dragon vein. I'm not in a hurry to use it yet. Next, I should deal with the internal affairs of the Demon country. By the way, Katsuyu, how is the work of historical records?"
Shiraishi asked with interest.
This time he went to Rōran to obtain the power of the dragon veins, while Katsuyu clone stayed in the kingdom of Demons, and recorded the history of his past experience in a book, writing down word by word.
Responsible for recording, of course, is Shiraishi's trusted historians, who are responsible for historical research.
"Hmm... because the amount of information is too large, I can't remember some things very well. However, I asked those historians to record the big events and some important secrets. There are some unbelievable things involved. I think you should be mentally prepared before watching, Shiraishi-sama."
Katsuyu kindly reminded Shiraishi that when watching this part of history, he must be mentally prepared.
She knows how appalling and shocking the past world history is to the people of this era.
"Don't worry, I've been through big winds and waves all the way. No matter what kind of history it is, I won't complain or be shocked."
Shiraishi replied with a serious expression, expressing that he was already mentally prepared.
Katsuyu heard Shiraishi say this, so she led the way ahead, took him to the next room, and began to read the historical epic that has been forgotten by people of this era for thousands of years.
(PS: If you have doubts, I will explain it later in the plot. Don’t ask, it’s an ambush.)
