Escape from konoha 98
🕑 Added 2023-09-18 07:04:07 +0000 UTCChapter 98 Kakashi and the Will of Fire (3)
At the end of December, winter comes.
Snowflakes fluttered in the sky of Konoha, and the surface of the river was also covered with ice.
After completing the last mission of the year, Ruri stayed at home.
If nothing special happens, this situation will probably continue until mid-January of the next year before considering accepting the task.
Opening the door, you can see that there is also a thick layer of snow on the ground in the courtyard outside.
Shiraishi sat on the opposite side of Ruri, with a table between them.
After the shadow dancer put the tea and pastries on the table, she stepped aside without saying a word, staring at the two of them secretly from time to time with curious eyes.
For her who is less than half a year old, sometimes, she really feels that the relationship between humans is too complicated.
Take her family as an example. When she observed others, she found that others have one father and mother.
And She had a father, but two 'mothers'.
Moreover, her elder brother, General Earth, has a strange body. I often use the shadow blade to take his head off and observe, trying to find out why it can always be alive and kicking.
But after observing for a long time, no mechanism was found inside.
The outside of his body is no different from the inside, they are all made of soft soil, other than that, there seems to be no special substance.
Not only is the body shape different from normal humans, but even the words that come out of the mouth are babbling, making it impossible for people to understand the semantics, and even normal communication.
These things are indeed difficult for her, who is less than half a year old, to understand.
"I heard something about Kakashi in the village recently. He seems to have conflicts with many teams."
Ruri picked up the teacup and took a sip of the hot tea.
"Isn't this kind of thing a matter of course? Ignoring the safety of your companions and only focusing on the task to be completed will definitely make the companions in the team feel dissatisfied and exclude him."
Shiraishi shrugged his shoulders and said.
"Sometimes, I really can't figure out what those people in the upper echelons are thinking. Kakashi has become like this, and they themselves are also to blame for it."
Ruri snorted coldly.
In her opinion, Kakashi's idea is indeed a little extreme.
But what pushed Kakashi to this point, think about it carefully, isn't it also caused by the inaction of those high-level officials?
"In order to maintain the balance of all parties in the village, our Hokage-sama cannot take the initiative to take on these responsibilities. Therefore, the existence of the root will become meaningful."
Shiraishi looked at the snowflakes flying in the yard and falling towards the ground one after another. While admiring the beautiful snow scene, he said this with a smile.
In order to be able to better manage Konoha, Hokage, as an identity, must maintain his glorious and righteous side in many cases, and become a model and model figure in the eyes of all Konoha ninjas and villagers.
But among such huge leaves, it is impossible to be completely free of filth. Where there is light, there must be darkness.
So, with a bright and righteous Hokage, someone must take on the opposite of light—darkness, so that the interests and order of the village can be better maintained.
Thus, the root organization, which bears all the darkness and sins of Konoha, was born smoothly and timely under the unanimous promotion of the high-level people.
As soon as this organization was born, it enjoyed the worst reputation and did the dirtiest work. Its leader, Danzo Shimura, was a ninja known as the "Darkness of konoha".
It is because of his cruel and ruthless style of actions, in order to achieve his goal, he will do anything by any means.
Such an extremely dangerous person, under his command, gathered ninjas with the same extreme thoughts. He did not know how many dirty things he had handled in secret over the years.
Honestly speaking, for this alone, Shiraishi still admires the political vision of Third Hokage Sarutobi Hiruzen.
This arrangement, from a strategic point of view, can't find any major problems.
But the problem is that after the third Hokage, a series of measures were taken, which can be called a typical failure—
Too much indulgence in the growth of the roots, not thorough enough to restrict the roots when necessary, and not having a strong wrist that can control this huge darkness, these are the problems.
For the top management who committed a major mistake, they could not immediately give any practical punishment, and at the same time, they failed to appease the subordinates whose interests were violated, which directly led to serious indistinction between their personal affairs and the village's official affairs, and lost credibility.
Therefore, the balance can only be maintained based on the premise of indulgent roots. Not only will this strategy not bring benefits to Konoha, but in many cases it will continue to consume the internal vitality of Konoha, and the future of Konoha will fall into an embarrassing situation of reverse growth.
Once the ninja war breaks out next, Konoha is likely to fight very hard, even in danger of being destroyed.
As for whether Konoha will have a great hero to turn the tide, Shiraishi cannot predict.
The future is too unpredictable.
Shiraishi himself is obviously not very interested in this kind of thing.
At that time, he had already left Konoha. Whether Konoha will be destroyed or ushered into a new life,he will just wait and watch.
"By the way, you can take this thing, I have already made it, it really took a lot of time."
Shiraishi remembered something at this moment, took out two black metal rings from his pocket, and put them in front of Ruri.
"This is?"
"It's similar to the Chakra limiter you gave to the team's ninja training before. But the difference is that this is a specially strengthened chakra limiter, and only the Jōnin can adapt."
Shiraishi emphasized this sentence.
Chunin ninja wear this level of chakra limiter, although there will be no danger to life, but it is impossible to successfully perform ninjutsu, Taijutsu and genjutsu.
These three types of fighting methods must rely on the circulation of chakra in the body to achieve release.
Especially for Taijutsu, the faster the chakra flows in the body, the stronger the power of Taijutsu. Conversely, the slower the flow of Chakra, the harder it is for Taijutsu to exert its due ability.
Ruri wears one of the black metal rings on her left hand.
There is no change in the body on the surface, but only Ruri knows that the flow speed of the chakra in her body, although not in a static state, is also not much faster than the crawling speed of the tortoise.
Based on this bad state where the flow speed of Chakra is severely restricted, it is by no means an easy task to train the flow speed of Chakra in the body to be the same as normal.
After that, Ruri looked at the second metal ring, wondering what would happen if she wore the second one.
One has already made the flow of Chakra in her body so slow, after wearing the second one, it may really make the Chakra in her body fall into a 'stationary' state.
Shiraishi seemed to see through Ruri's thoughts, took a sip of tea, and said slowly: "It's better to follow the steps ,step by step. Even if you are wearing a chakra limiter now, it is the limit. After getting familiar with the first one, it is not too late to wear the second limiter for training. Anyway, you are staying in the village. With your ability, it should not be difficult to completely overcome the first chakra limiter within a month."
"A month? Does it take that long?"
Ruri doesn't quite agree with the time of the month.
She expects to complete the training in about half a month.
"This is a conservative estimate, because the more powerful the chakra is, the more chakra needs to be controlled by the ninja, and the difficulty of overcoming the limiter will naturally be higher."
Shiraishi explained a little bit.
"Then I'll try it now. How about it? Do you want to come together?"
Ruri stood up from her seat, and invited Shiraishi to go to the training ground to test how much strength she could retain under the restricted state.
"I'll forget it, I still have work to do."
Shiraishi shook his head and refused.
"You are really getting lazy. If this continues, I'm really worried that your strength will degenerate. Last time, your physical skills were already much rusty."
Ruri frowned, somewhat dissatisfied with Shiraishi's current attitude of laziness in coping with training.
"This kind of thing doesn't matter, don't worry, the shadow dancer can protect me."
Shiraishi said with a smile.
Although he is proficient in the chakra nature changes of many attributes, it is all for his own research.
Dedicated to practicing all kinds of Ninjutsu, and proficient in mastering it, it will divert one's energy instead, and the work outweighs the gain.
Because whether it is the general or the shadow dancer, they are all 'parts' of himself. Strictly speaking, they are also a manifestation of his own strength.
Shiraishi believes that this is his own unique way to become stronger.
Since your own strength is not enough, just create a "clone" that can adapt to any environment and can fight the enemy.
As long as this power is in his own hands.
Seeing that Shiraishi was still unmoved, Ruri snorted and went to the training ground alone.
Watching Ruri leave, Shiraishi just continued to drink the hot tea in his hand, admiring the snow scene outside.
"Okay, back to work."
After Shiraishi finished speaking, he slowly stood up.
The moment his body stood up, the shadow dancer turned into a black shadow and ran across the floor like lightning, actively blending into Shiraishi's shadow and disappearing.
As Shiraishi's only personal guard at the moment, the shadow dancer followed Shiraishi inseparably most of the time, protecting the life of Shiraishi, the creator.
•••
Konoha 42, February.
Ninja School will be on vacation for a few days at this time, so you don't have to go to school.
At the end of last month, Ruri resumed her work as a jonin and went to the Hokage Building to receive the task.
Among the people around him, Shiraishi seemed to be the only one in a state of doing nothing.
Occasionally, the cute little girl Nohara Rin would come to him and ask for some medical ninjutsu knowledge.
Of course, behind this cute little girl, there will always be a guy named Obito Uchiha, who can be called a goddess licking dog.
This guy seems to be in the same class as Kakashi, and Shiraishi can often hear from him that he wants to surpass Kakashi.
But Shiraishi felt that such a thing was a bit unrealistic.
Kakashi graduated from the ninja school at the age of five, and became a Chunin at the age of six. The word "genius" is not enough to describe Kakashi's outstanding talent.
As for Obito, this kid said today that he would work hard to become strong, but because he often ran into an old lady who was in trouble on the road, the training matter fell through.
Shiraishi doesn't know how to complain about this guy named obito... why are all the old ladies attracted to him?
"Hey, Obito, it's already so late, don't you really need to go back?"
Shiraishi raised his head and shouted to Obito who was doing physical exercise while standing upside down on a tree branch covered with fine snow.
Shiraishi, who has nothing to do these days, sometimes trains with Obito.
Going out to relax once in a while is good for your physical and mental health.
He doesn't want to be bald at such a young age.
"Don't be wordy, I have only been practicing for less than an hour."
Looking at the sky, it should be some time before it gets dark, but Obito didn't give up on exercising.
"It's not because of the many indescribable things that happened between you and the three old grandmas this afternoon."
"I want you to take care of it! You can go back alone, anyway, you are just eating soft food. Why are you being so arrogant?"
Obito panted while standing upside down and performing pull-ups.
Seeing that he was sweating profusely even in the cold weather, it could be seen that he was indeed training seriously.
"One hundred and ninety one... one hundred and ninety two... one hundred... ah!"
Shouted in panic, Obito's chakra, which was attached to the bottom of his feet, had an accident, separated directly from the branch, and fell headfirst to the ground.
His head sank into the snow, his body was twitching slightly.
Shiraishi lightly blew a breath of white air between his palms, then rubbed his hands, stood watching and did not go up to help.
The vitality of this idiot has always been very vigorous and energetic.
"Ahem!"
Sure enough, Obito struggled out of the snow, spit out all the snow in his mouth, coughed violently, and his face was flushed.
"Damn! I could only do two hundred!"
Obito said with a face of unwillingness.
"Give up, Kakashi was able to do better than you two years ago. Now the gap between you will be even bigger."
Shiraishi said so.
"Isn't it Chunin, I will definitely graduate from Ninja School next year!"
Obito made such bold words.
Although Shiraishi doesn’t think Obito has such a talent, his belief in not admitting defeat and striving to catch up is worthy of approval.
"Then work hard, if you open Sharingan in the future, maybe you can really do it."
Shiraishi didn't want to hit Obito's self-confidence either.
This guy is positive and optimistic, but because of this, there is always a string in his head. For things like training, it is useless to just rely on slogans.
Because Kakashi tempered himself harder than Obito.
Genius is not scary, what is scary is that geniuses work harder than ordinary people.
Therefore, according to the normal trajectory, Shiraishi didn't think Obito could catch up with Kakashi.
Obito heard Shiraishi say this, and just about to show a smile, Shiraishi suddenly said: "But I think with your talent, you probably won't be able to open Sharingan in your life. After all, you are a tail crane in the school. Sharingan is a pupil art that only elite Uchiha ninjas can open."
"You bastard! How dare you look down on me! Taste the wrathful iron fist of our Uchiha clan!"
Obito jumped up from the snow and punched Shiraishi fiercely.
It is really troublesome to deal with this little brainless brat.
However, as a play object when bored, it can bring a lot of joy.
Without even thinking about it, he turned his body sideways, letting the menacing Obito lie on the snow in an embarrassing posture like a dog eating shit.
"I've said it many times, if you can't control your body, don't punch in such an exaggerated way. It was the same when you first dealt with me. In battle, this is undoubtedly a fatal act. It is easy for the enemy to grasp the weakness and kill with one blow."
"Didn't you say that I can't open Sharingan in my life!"
Obito sat on the snow like a normal person, with his hands folded in front of his chest, and his mouth turned away, as if he didn't want to pay attention to Shiraishi.
Thinking about it carefully, it seems to be the same.
For those working as ninjas in the Uchiha clan, if they cannot open Sharingan, it means that they are the real crane tail.
Obito has always wanted to work hard to prove his strength, and Sharingan is the embodiment of the strength of their Uchiha clan.
After being told that, no wonder he was angry.
"I mean, because you don't open Sharingan, it's a good thing for you."
Shiraishi came over, pulled Obito up from the snow, and said such words.
"Huh? Why?"
Obito looked bewildered.
"Because you are an idiot. Once an idiot opens Sharingan, wouldn't that mean the end of the world? Think about it, isn't it the truth?"
Shiraishi said seriously.
"You bastard who eats soft food, let me give you another iron fist of anger!"
In the snow, there was an angry roar from Obito.
…
"Don't think that if you invite me to eat meatballs, I will forgive you! Tell you, after I open Sharingan, it will be your death! Be prepared!"
On the way back, Obito viciously ate the meatballs that Shiraishi bought for him, while threatening Shiraishi fiercely.
"It doesn't matter, Ruri will protect me, your Sharingan is invalid for me."
Shiraishi take out out his most powerful shield so far—Uchiha Ruri.
"..."
Obito didn't know why, but there was an indescribably bitter taste in his mouth, a little astringent.
"Hey, can't you accept my challenge like a man?"
Obito really has nothing to do with the man in front of him.
The opponent is thick-skinned, in terms of shamelessness, he, Uchiha Obito would like him the strongest. ( madara reference)
"I am a medical ninja, and I don't need to pay attention to increasing my strength. Of course, if you want to compete with me in medical ninjutsu, I will accompany you at any time."
Shiraishi smiled indifferently.
"..."
Obito took a deep breath.
Calm down.
calm.
don't be angry.
There's nothing to freak out about.
I should learn from this man, who is calm and calm in the face of any difficulties.
Think like a mature adult.
But... he is really angry.
Just when Obito was about to say something, suddenly two Chunin were talking on the side of the road, and one of them shouted in an uncontrollable angry voice: "Let the captain remove Kakashi from the team! I have tolerated him to the limit!"
"Although I agree, I heard that Hokage-sama values Kakashi very much."
"But if this continues, we have to worry about it every time we perform the mission. This guy is not suitable to be a ninja at all. Every time we send a support signal, he ignores it and says that we are slowing down the progress of the mission."
Chunin's complexion was very bad, his eyes were full of anger, which had reached a critical point and needed to be released.
"To be honest, I'm almost at my limit. Let's go to the captain and explain it together. I thought that after the next year, he would change his temper. It seems that we really can't expect anything from him. That guy only has a mission in his heart, and there is no such companion as us."
Another Chunin also made up his mind.
If this continues, the task really cannot be done.
A guy who is always indifferent to his companions cannot really give him a reliable sense of trust.
One day they die, maybe the other party will not shed a tear.
"Well, may I ask, were you talking about Kakashi just now?"
Obito heard them mention the name 'Kakashi', so he stepped forward with curiosity and asked the two senior Chunin.
"Yeah, what's the matter? Do you know him?"
The Chunin who spoke first stared at Obito with an ugly expression, and his attitude was very unfriendly.
"Uh...no, I don't know."
I really want to say that I know him, but if I admit it, I am really afraid that this guy will beat me up.
"Then why do you ask these questions?"
The Chunin was even more dissatisfied.
Obito felt dizzy for a while, with cold sweat streaming down his face, he stammered, "Well, I just think that the influence of two seniors talking about one person in the street is not very good."
"If it weren't for the unbearable, we wouldn't be so irrational. In short, this has nothing to do with you, don't meddle in other people's business, Uchiha brat."
Knowing that Obito and Kakashi knew each other, but the Chunin didn't intend to do anything to Obito.
He didn't want to vent his anger on innocent people.
Besides, this is a ninja school student.
Watching the two Chunin leave, Obito's face suddenly became heavy, as if he was thinking about something.
"What's wrong?"
Shiraishi came over and asked.
"I was thinking about Kakashi."
"do not you know?"
Shiraishi asked back like this.
"what do you know?"
Obito is strange now.
"I heard that since June and July of last year, Kakashi has changed many teams because of disagreements with his teammates. Now many Jonin teams in the village don't want to accept him."
Shiraishi put his hands in his pockets and said.
"What's going on here? Isn't Kakashi a genius? He was a Chunin last year, right?"
Obito cannot understand.
Such a talented character, many Jōnin teams should be scrambling for it.
"The reason is that he was in the mission, and when his teammates were too injured to fight, or even caused drag, he did not choose to save his teammates, but chose to continue to complete the mission."
Shiraishi said this plainly.
Obito froze for a moment.
Reminiscent of the unfavorable words of the two Chunin against Kakashi just now, he suddenly understood.
"No, Kakashi is not such a person!"
Obito firmly thinks so.
In his impression, Kakashi was definitely not such a cold-blooded person who would not save his companions.
There must be something wrong.
"Then you want to visit him?"
Shiraishi asked Obito this way.
"Is this okay? Won't it bother him too much?"
Obito was a little hesitant.
"It's okay, that kid has nothing to do at home."
" Do you know Kakashi very well?"
Obito asked bluntly.
"I don't know him well, his father was the jonin squad captain of me and Ruri."
Shiraishi smiled calmly.
"Eh? You and Ruri-senpai's Captain? Is Kakashi's father that powerful?"
Now it was Obito's turn to be surprised.
Leaving aside the inconspicuous medical ninja like Shiraishi, Uchiha Ruri is the most proud genius Jonin of their Uchiha clan today.
Being able to become her mentor Jonin, Obito thought that Kakashi's father must also be a great ninja in the village.
"Okay, don't be in a daze. After watching Kakashi's kid, I still have work to do when I go back."
"Oh okay, I know."
Obito immediately caught up with Shiraishi and followed him towards Kakashi's house.
It was a detached Japanese-style courtyard, with the word 'Hatake' printed on the door plate.
Obito knows that this is where Kakashi lives.
"Why are you here?"
Kakashi looked at the two people who appeared at the door of his house, showing doubts.
"I'll bring your friends to visit you, and have dinner by the way, how about it, aren't we welcome?"
Shiraishi touched Obito's head, and smiled at Kakashi.
"If you want to eat takeaway with me, I don't care."
Kakashi's tone didn't fluctuate at all, and his attitude was neither good nor bad.
Shiraishi didn't think much of it, after all, Kakashi with this attitude was already quite kind.
"Kakashi, I..."
"Since you're here, come in."
Kakashi shook his head and left, not giving Obito a chance to speak.
Obito's smile froze on his face, his hands were in the air, and the atmosphere was a bit awkward.
"What the hell happened to this guy?"
Obito put down his hands and muttered a little depressed.
Compared with the Kakashi in his impression, the current Kakashi is like a completely different person.
Following Shiraishi into the living room of Kakashi's house, after sitting down there, Kakashi brought up the tea set and a pot of hot water.
He said to Shiraishi and Obito, "If you want to drink tea, make it yourself."
"..."
"I haven't finished my practice today, I will order takeaway by dinner time, please help yourself."
"..."
Obito watched Kakashi leave without exchanging words, his face stunned.
Shiraishi picked up the tea set calmly, not dissatisfied with Kakashi's indifferent attitude, so he made himself a cup of hot tea and drank it.
"I'll go upstairs and have a look."
Leaving this sentence behind, Shiraishi also left here.
Obito's face turned black, you two bastards Don't leave me here alone!
(End of the chapter )
