Ninja School.
Tsunade, who was sorting out the lesson plans in her office, heard footsteps next to her, so she knew who was coming without guessing.
"Boy, you came a little late today... What's the matter with your face? Why do you look pale?"
Tsunade turned her head and saw Shiraishi's pale face, and his whole body became extremely weak. She couldn't help being startled, and quickly asked him what happened.
"My stomach got bad after eating yesterday."
Shiraishi made up such words without blinking his eyes.
"Bad stomach does not make such an expression." Tsunade sighed, walked over and patted Shiraishi on the shoulder, and said earnestly: "Young men and women live under the same roof, and I can understand that their guns go off. After all, you are all teenagers. But you are a medical ninja, and you should know that a ninja's body has limits, so please be a little restrained."
"..."
"By the way, have you taken safety measures? Before you get married, don't make the little girl's belly bigger."
Tsunade leaned close to Shiraishi's ear, and whispered to him, as if she was afraid that someone around would eavesdrop.
But Shiraishi clearly saw the trickery in Tsunade's eyes.
"Don't worry, Tsunade-sensei, my health has always been good."
"That is to say, you still did it?"
“…If you spread rumors casually, I will complain to Lord Hokage.”
"You really don't have a sense of humor at all, kid."
"I don't really have a sense of humor, but it has nothing to do with it."
Seeing Shiraishi's weak and decadent expression, Tsunade suddenly felt bored.
"However, is it really okay for you to look like this? Do you want to take a rest here?"
To be honest, Shiraishi's current appearance is really worrying, whether he will suddenly pass out on the ground while working.
"Thank you for your concern, but it's not a big problem. I'll go to the classroom later."
Shiraishi thought for a while, and felt that Tsunade's worry was unnecessary. The Sharingan that he met yesterday after using the spiritual transformation technique still made him feel terrified. The sequelae of being impacted by the illusion made him feel weak since this morning.
"Then you have a good rest here, don't push yourself."
Tsunade didn't ask what Shiraishi did yesterday to make it look like this. Everyone has secrets that they don't want to share with others, including herself.
Watching Tsunade leave, he was the only one left in the office.
Because of physical fatigue, Shiraishi lay down on the chair, closed his eyes, and let his mind go blank.
About half an hour passed, and I felt that my body was much more comfortable than when I first came here. Then I slowly stood up from the seat and walked towards the experimental class for training medical ninjas.
—After the experimental class was over, Shiraishi and Tsunade said hello, and then walked towards the outside of the ninja school. As a result, at the school gate, he saw Ruri waiting there.
Wearing the black tight-fitting ninja suit that showed a good figure, standing there pleasing to the eye, Shiraishi could recognize it at a glance.
"Ruri, why are you here?"
Shiraishi came over and asked, a little puzzled expression.
"I just stopped by to have a look."
Ruri glanced at Shiraishi's slightly pale face, her tone didn't fluctuate much.
"That's a long way to go. But, did you leave work so early today?"
"I found someone else to take over."
Saying that, Ruri took out a thermos cup and threw it into Shiraishi's hands.
Shiraishi caught the thermos cup, unscrewed the lid, and as expected, there was clean and drinkable hot water inside.
"Thanks, I'm feeling a little thirsty."
"Don't think too much, I just took it out of the guard without paying attention."
Hearing Ruri's explanation, Shiraishi just smiled understandingly.
After taking a sip of hot water, he asked Ruri:
"Do you want to go back together now?"
He knew that Ruri was waiting for him at the gate of the ninja school at this time because she was thinking about his safety, and there was an indescribable warmth in his heart.
However, it might be a bit difficult for Ruri to say directly what she cares about.
Sometimes she is not very frank.
If it was Ayane, she would probably be serious, pretending to be innocent and saying some unexpected provocative words.
"Um."
Ruri didn't object either.
She was indeed worried about Shiraishi's safety, because Shiraishi's mental state at the moment is really not good.
Even in the village, many times it is not absolutely safe.
As early as two hours ago, when Shiraishi came to work at the ninja school, she had been waiting here.
Walking on the road with Shiraishi, Ruri suddenly remembered something and said softly:
"By the way, I went to the security team to check during the day, and re-read the information of each clansman, but no matter what I did, I couldn't find a clansman with stronger sharingan pupil power than me as you said."
This sentence is not because Ruri is complacent. Her understanding of Sharingan is indeed better than most Uchiha people.
Even leaving aside Sharingan, her taijutsu, ninjutsu, and genjutsu are top-notch, especially taijutsu and ninjutsu, and genjutsu is slightly inferior.
Wanting to find the Sharingan holder who is far above her, Ruri still has no clue even if she investigates the personnel information of the security force.
"If you can't find it, you don't have to try to find it. I think the person behind the scenes is not necessarily hiding in the village."
Shiraishi expressed his opinion.
"Not in the village?"
Ruri didn't quite understand the meaning of Shiraishi's words.
"What do you think of Sakumo-Sensei's strength?"
Shiraishi did not answer the question.
"Above me."
"What about the specific gap?"
"If I fight to the death, there is a high probability that I will die. Sakumo-Sensei will be seriously injured."
In this sentence, Ruri is not self-effacing.
But her strength has reached this level now.
Sakumo's strength lies in his sword skills, and his extremely fast instant body skills, combined with his exquisite sword skills, is always beneficial.
But because of this, Sakumo, who specializes in swordsmanship, lacks the means to fight against long range enemies.
Ruri might be the most difficult type for Sakumo to deal with.
Ruri has no flaws, a perfect all-around ninja.
By using the body skill instant body and the 3 tomoe Sharingan, she can keep up with Sakumo's speed and nerve response, but due to the addition of sword skills, Ruri feels that she will suffer a lot in close combat.
But she also has advantages that Sakumo doesn't have. The large-scale Fire Style and mysterious illusion can also be used to restrict Sakumo's actions.
After Shiraishi heard it, he also nodded and expressed his opinion:
"The Chakra displayed by the sharingan and the tremendous pressure it brought to me are even higher than Sakumo-Sensei. And this is just a contest of pupil power on the sharingan. He is far better than you. In other aspects, I am afraid that he is only stronger than you."
"Really? There is indeed no such master in the Uchiha class today, but is it too hasty to judge that this person is not among Konoha?"
"Then think about it differently. If there really exists such a master among the Uchiha clan in the village, our secrets may have been exposed long ago, and it is impossible to remain indifferent until now. After all, the other party has powerful infiltrating subordinates, and our secrets cannot be concealed at all."
"..."
Ruri frowned.
"Since that white creature can be sensed by natural energy, it also means that the other party was not monitoring us before I researched natural energy. The first contact was on Akatsuki's side. Then, this strange white creature came to Konoha and sneaked into the Uchiha clan... The mastermind behind the scenes targeted Konoha, perhaps to monitor the Uchiha clan. The action just started recently. As for Akatsuki..."
He sent Bug Man and the others to contact Akatsuki, and it was also nearly a month ago.
Shiraishi has no way of knowing when the master messenger behind the scenes sent people to monitor Akatsuki.
But it is enough to judge these.
Uchiha ninjas who are not in Konoha.
It is related to Tailed Beast and Wood Style, and the pupil power of the Sharingan surpasses Ruri, and dispatches his subordinates to infiltrate the Uchiha tribe to collect it.
This is all critical information for interpreting proper intelligence.
Ruri obviously understood this too.
But even with so much key information, it is still difficult for Ruri to determine which Uchiha ninja is the mastermind behind the scenes.
"Speaking of which, did Uchiha defect in the past, or was there a ninja who left Konoha?"
"In the past thirty years, there has only been Uchiha Madara."
Ruri gave this answer like a fantasy.
"This answer is really nonsense. Uchiha Madara died at the hands of the first generation of Hokage after the battle in the Valley of the End. This is a well-known thing in the world..."
Shiraishi pulled a smile on his face and shook his head.
But what he thinks in his heart, only he himself knows.
After all, there is no such probability, is there?
Wood Style, Tailed Beast, Sharingan.
This is either the ninjutsu that Uchiha Madara fought at the beginning, or the object controlled by him, or the power he holds.
Aren’t all the conditions met?
Seeing Ruri, he was also lost in thought, probably also doubting whether the ancestor of the Uchiha clan really died.
Shiraishi reopened the thermos, took a sip of hot water and smiled: "Okay, don't show such a dull expression, it doesn't matter whether the other party is dead or alive, as long as you don't have anything to do with him. You also said, rather than guessing such useless things, it's better to spend all your time and energy on strengthening yourself, right?"
"No, I was thinking, if he is really alive... I really want to see the legendary power that can open up the world."
Ruri clenched her fists.
In the past, when mentioning the Uchiha clan, the first thing people thought of was not Sharingan, but the name Uchiha Madara.
Because it is a purer symbol of power than Sharingan.
Nowadays, when ninjas mention Uchiha, they don't think of a certain Uchiha ninja, but Sharingan.
Ruri thinks this is the goal she will surpass in the future.
"It really looks like your style, it seems that I was worrying for nothing just now."
"Are you looking down on me? And even if that old antique is alive, it's too old to move now."
"I didn't say that. Besides, this is just speculation and cannot be regarded as conclusive evidence."
Seeing Ruri seeming to be arguing again, Shiraishi explained with a smile.
"snort."
Ruri turned her head, expressing that she didn't want to pay attention to him.
The sky is getting darker, and the beautiful sunset is slowly setting at the end of the forest in the west.
Shiraishi and Ruri walked along the road next to a river.
The weather in May has been warmer, and the breeze is blowing, which brings people a little comfort, and at the same time, the irritability is also removed from the heart.
The street lights on both sides of the small road have been turned on. Looking from here to the distance, there is the center of the village. There is already a prelude to the bustling night market, and the lights are turned on one after another.
On this road, only Shiraishi and Ruri walked.
But on the bank of the river, there are some ninja school children who have not yet returned home, playing ninja games tirelessly there.
Seeing this scene, Shiraishi stopped walking.
"What's wrong?"
Ruri also stopped and turned to look at his face.
"It's nothing, it's just that seeing them like this makes me miss the past."
Shiraishi looked at the students playing ninja games on the embankment, with emotion on his face.
In a daze, Shiraishi remembered something again.
"Speaking of which, the scene where we set off from the ninja school and then went home together was like really returning to our school days."
After Shiraishi said this sentence, it also brought back Ruri's memories of the past.
Because her parents have been doing business all year round and are often away from home, Shiraishi played an irreplaceable role in her life in her childhood.
When they were studying at the Ninja School in the past, it was indeed as Shiraishi said. The two of them always went to school together and left school together, and they were almost inseparable every day.
"Why are you talking about such a thing all of a sudden?"
"I was thinking... It would be nice if we kept doing this in the future. Because we are the best partners."
Shiraishi looked up at the setting sun in the distance, under the rays of the setting sun, his face became gentler than usual.
When Ruri heard Shiraishi say this, she suddenly felt uncomfortable. She always felt a little empty in her heart, as if something was missing.
Is it just a partner?
"Let's go quickly, when we go back, we still need to..."
Ruri was about to speed up her pace to go home, but at this moment, something suddenly wrapped her palm.
As a result, the body cannot take a step forward, so it stops in place.
Ruri was taken aback for a moment, then turned her head and lowered her head slightly.
That is a generous palm that belongs to a man.
Take her hand carefully and gently so that she can't get out of control.
"Actually, in many cases, I don't know how to face this kind of thing. But after I said that just now, I thought about it carefully. If it's just a partner relationship, maybe it can't explain everything between us. How about it, should it become a closer relationship than a partner?"
Shiraishi had a calm smile on his face, asking Ruri for his opinion.
"I don't understand what you're talking about, so I'm going back."
Ruri's face turned slightly red, and she turned her head away. Although she was talking about going back, when her palm was held, she had already let Shiraishi handle it.
"Let's go there for a walk together, leaving work so early today, there should be enough time."
"Don't ask me about this kind of thing. You are a wounded person. You can make up your own mind. As long as you don't catch a cold tomorrow."
Ruri turned her head away from Shiraishi, but acted as if she let him make decisions.
Shiraishi felt a little strange, because after so many years with Ruri, it was the first time he held such an important initiative.
I feel a little moved to cry.
"It's already May, how can it be possible to catch a cold? No problem."
His body is not that weak. Although the weather will indeed become colder than during the day after nightfall, as long as he pays attention, it will not be a big problem.
Clasping Ruri's palm tightly, the body heat of each other is transferred between the skins.
Shiraishi could clearly feel that Ruri's body became very hot.
Holding Ruri's palm like this, Shiraishi led her towards the night center where the village was about to become lively.
Shiraishi clearly saw the obvious happy smile on Ruri's face.
At this moment, for some reason, a sense of guilt appeared in my heart.
In his mind, there might be another woman.
To me, it may also be an extremely important 'partner'.
But today, I should belong to Ruri.
Thinking about it this way, the sense of guilt dissipated from my heart under self-comfort.
- the next day.
Shiraishi has a cold.
Because I came back late last night, when I woke up this morning, I found out that I had a cold.
He slept on the floor, covered with a quilt, and now he felt groggy and cold.
"Really, yesterday you kept saying that I was fine, but it turned out like this. Your physical fitness has become too poor."
Ruri was wearing casual clothes at home, not wearing the black ninja outfit, just kneeling and sitting next to Shiraishi's floor, scolding Shiraishi in an almost disgusting tone.
"...I didn't expect to make things like this...Speaking of which, this is my first cold..."
Shiraishi had no choice but to eat this boring loss.
Sure enough, last night I shouldn't have tried to force my body.
But yesterday in that situation, if I honestly came back without doing anything, I would regret it even more.
Seeing Ruri taking care of him so carefully, even today's work was lost again. While Shiraishi felt embarrassed, he also felt that even if he caught a bad cold today, it would not be a bad thing.
"I have already sent someone to explain Tsunade's side. Today you can honestly rest at home. I will protect you here."
Ruri stood up from the floor, walked to the side cabinet, and said to Shiraishi while searching for something there.
"I'm sorry to trouble you. Actually, I don't think the cold is that serious. This afternoon..."
"Relax at home honestly today. Do you want me to say it a third time?"
Ruri's voice was expressionless again.
Shiraishi trembled and dared not speak any more.
Ruri took out a medicine bottle from the cabinet, took out a few pills from it, and prepared a cup of hot water.
"This is a cold medicine that i haven't officially put into the pharmaceutical market. I didn't expect that after it was developed, I would become the first user. How do you feel about your medicine?"
“…I don’t want to make any judgments if I can.”
Amidst the complicated mood, Shiraishi took the cold medicine he had developed.
•••
The land of waves leads to the sea of the land of fire, a small boat squeezes through the waves and approaches the coastal port of the land of fire.
There are four people on the boat, and they are all ninjas from Konoha Village.
The team was led by a Konoha ninja wearing a Jōnin uniform, and the other three were wearing Chunin uniforms.
This is a team led by Jonin, and the team is composed of three Chunin.
Even in Konoha Village, this belongs to the category of the elite team.
Most teams have a jonin ninja paired with three Genin ninjas, or a configuration of one jonin ninja, one chunin ninja, and two genin ninjas.
This time their mission went to the neighboring country of waves to destroy an illegal wandering ninja organization.
Konoha has long been accustomed to this situation.
Not to mention the period of the Ninja World War, even after the war, small countries lacking ninja power are often invaded by wandering ninja organizations. This kind of thing has long been common.
These wandering ninjas either became ninjas by chance, or they were rebellious and engaged in various illegal profit-making activities.
For big countries, there is no need to take this kind of ninja organization to heart, and only small countries with no power will be troubled by such things.
Konoha dispatched an elite team of one Jōnin and three Chunin. After a hard fight, this team successfully wiped out the wandering ninja organization. Now they are going to return to the Land of Fire by boat.
Sitting at the bow of the boat, Konoha Shinobi, the leader of the team, had long black hair hanging straight down to his waist.
A forehead is worn on the forehead, and the eyes are pure white.
He is a Jonin from the Hyuga clan.
The name is Hyuga Shingo, and even in the Hyuga branch family, he is a Jonin with outstanding strength.
Because Country of waves are shrouded in thick fog all year round, Shingo Hyuga opens his eyes from time to time to observe the surrounding sea area and prevent some emergencies.
In his Byakugan vision, two kilometers ahead, five people approached here by boat.
The Chakra content in these people is very small, and they can basically be judged as ordinary civilians, so there is nothing to be afraid of.
And these people didn't have any weapons on them, and only carried a little money.
Undoubtedly, they are ordinary civilians going to the Kingdom of Waves.
After a while, the hull of the five civilians approached.
Hyuga Shingo and the other three Konoha Chuunin just glanced at them and stopped paying attention.
When the hull passed by, the five people on that boat suddenly rushed towards them at a high speed.
Almost only afterimages could be seen, the three Konoha chuunin screamed in pain, and fell into the sea recklessly, losing track.
Hyuga Shingo’s face suddenly changed. The scene in front of him broke his perception of the world. These guys don’t have much chakra in their bodies, but what is going on with this terrifying speed and power?
He quickly jumped away from the hull, gathered the chakra on the soles of his feet, stood on the undulating sea, and made a soft fist move.
He could no longer care about the situation of those three companions. Among the five people around him, none of them were mediocre.
Based on the speed and strength of the move just now, combined, even he dare not say that he has an absolute chance of winning.
"Who are you? Why did you attack our Konoha ninjas?"
While mobilizing the chakra in his body, Hyuga Shingo wanted to use conversation to find a breakthrough, at least he had to figure out the identities of these guys.
Unexpectedly, the faces of these five people have not changed from the beginning to the end, and they are silent, but there is a very strong hostility on their bodies, and they are directed at him.
"superior."
There was only one simple order, and the five people came up to Hyuga Shingo in a tacit understanding.
Hyuga Shingo saw that he was deeply trapped in the enemy's line, and he didn't panic at all. His rich combat experience, as well as his Byakugan and soft fists were the source of his confidence in fighting the enemy.
However, after the fight, he discovered that the strength of these five people was very great, and if his acupuncture ability could not hit their chests, it would have no effect on them.
Although it is unbelievable, these guys use powerful body skills, which are not activated by Chakra at all.
Rather, they rely on their own physical fitness.
After performing missions for many years, this is the first time Hyuga Shingo has seen this type of opponent.
Damn it! Hyuga Shingo couldn't help but break out in a cold sweat.
In this way, his soft fist has little effect on these guys.
Most of the strength of the ninjas of the Hyuga clan is reflected in soft fists and acupuncture points.
This is a very bad opponent for their Hyuga clan.
If he knows the special soft fist technique of Eight Trigrams: Palm Rotation, he might have a chance of winning. After all, it is an absolute defense without dead ends, and it can also counter-shock the enemy and tear a hole for escape.
But as a branch member, even Jonin, he is not qualified to learn this move.
That is a top-secret move that only the main family and a few branch ninjas are eligible to learn.
He only has Byakugan to prevent the enemy's sneak attack, but if it lasts for a long time, the situation is still not good for him.
"ah!"
Ignoring the acupressure technique contained in his soft fist, the opponent exchanged injuries for injuries, and punched him in the face, knocking him flying.
Then the other two quickly circled to the position where he was about to fall, one punched, the other raised his leg, and attacked him fiercely.
Hyuga Shingo rolled on the sea surface, and the salty and bitter seawater accidentally poured into his mouth, mixing with the blood in his mouth.
His rather elegant image was destroyed, and despair arose in his heart.
"Who are you...?"
He asked again unwillingly, wanting to know the identities of these five people and their reasons for attacking Konoha Ninja.
The five of them didn't say a word, and what lingered on the sea was absolute silence.
