Late July, summer.
It was almost evening, when Shiraishi came back from the ninja school, he heard an unexpected news from Ruri.
"Going out on a mission?"
Hearing Ruri said that she wanted to go out to perform a mission, Shiraishi was slightly surprised.
"Yes, I thought about it, I am not suitable for the leisurely life of the security force. I have already handed in the application for transfer."
Shiraishi thought that Ruri had been working in the security force for more than a year, and it was almost time to get bored.
The life in the security team was indeed too comfortable, and most of the things they dealt with were civil disputes, making Ruri's strong forbearance useless.
This kind of thing is enough to be settled by ordinary Uchiha ninjas.
The reason why Ruri was assigned to be the captain of the guard team was also out of consideration for gold plating.
After all, the Guard is an honorary department run by the Uchiha clan, and many Uchiha clan members take it as an honor to be a member of the Guard.
But for Ruri, it is not an honor, but a boring life.
"It's good to go out and relax."
"Do you want to go together?"
Regarding Ruri's invitation, Shiraishi scratched his head distressedly and said, "Forget it, I'll avoid it. Now the study of Sage arts is only the last step of reconciliation. I'll think about it after my research is successful."
Ruri didn't force it, the study of Sage arts is indeed an important thing.
She is also looking forward to Shiraishi's ability to develop the sage art sooner.
In this way, her strength will increase by leaps and bounds again, and the application of Sharingan will also be improved to a higher level.
"By the way, since you are going out to perform a mission, you have to form a new team, right? With your current status as a Jounin, it should be impossible to join other Jonin teams."
Normal missions are performed in teams of four.
There are also many times when a special team mode will be adopted, such as a mixed force with several Chunin and Genin.
Generally, this kind of situation will happen during the war.
Because at that time, the sacrifice rate of Jounin was also very high.
But now is not a time of war, the normal team formation is a group of four.
The jounin ninja is equipped with three chunin ninja or Genin ninja.
"Recently, the leader of a team died in the line of duty. I will serve as the captain of that team. The team members seem to be little devils who have just graduated."
"Haha, what a pity. Not long after graduation, the captain died in the line of duty. Now they have to replace you as the captain."
Ninja school's graduation season is usually in March and April.
It is July now, that is to say, the ninja of this team has graduated less than half a year, and their leader ninja died in the mission.
Probably some unlucky accident occurred tragically during the mission.
After all, many tasks entrusted by the client are also full of traps, such as false information and so on.
This kind of thing also happens often.
Ruri decided to go out to carry out the mission, probably because of Sakumo's affairs, she was still a little depressed.
In this regard, Shiraishi let her go.
With Ruri's strength, it is impossible to encounter any emergencies.
After all, leading a rookie team, the task difficulty is not too high.
It is completely different from the situation when they merged into Sakumo's team.
•••
the next day.
Shiraishi came to Ruri's room and saw that there was only a note left in the room. After seeing the content on it, he knew that Ruri had gone out.
In this regard, I just didn't get used to it for a while, and quickly adjusted my mentality.
After breakfast, Shiraishi plunged into the laboratory and began to adjust the fusion mechanism of Chakra and natural energy.
If chakra and natural energy exist alone, it is actually not difficult to manipulate.
Especially for those who are born with excellent control ability, they can get started very quickly, and will not waste a single bit of energy during battle.
But after these two energies are fused, it will become difficult to control.
In the transparent channel, use instruments to adjust the chakra and natural energy inside to fuse.
Then just place it here, and Shiraishi will do the rest of the research.
And this research has a certain connection with the soil man General Earth.
After the last battle with the Hyuga clan's Jounin ninja Hyuga Fire Array, he found that General Earth can help in battles in many cases.
Like body bombs, body bombs, body bombs…
In addition to the lurking ability, the soil general's sneak attack ability is also top-notch.
Although he himself does not have strong combat ability, there is a space inside him that can accommodate many items. The principle is the same as that of a sealed scroll.
Recently, Shiraishi has made a lot of lethal weapons such as gas bombs and Explosive tags, and put them in the general's body, so that he not only exists as a communication tool.
Now, apart from conducting research on Sage arts, Shiraishi is also simultaneously conducting experiments on 'artificial humans'.
He intends to create another "artificial human" that is the same as General Earth.
The characteristic given by General Earth is 'earth'.
The lurking ability in the soil, as well as the ability to move, are far greater than those in the water.
Shiraishi plans to make a new artificial human this time.
Gives it the characteristics of 'yin'.
is the Yin attribute.
This type of technique is reflected in the shadow man of the bug man team.
His latent ability to blend into the shadow is a use of the Yin attribute.
There are also shadow techniques such as the Nara clan, and Uchiha's Sharingan illusion, all of which belong to the category of Yin Release.
Shiraishi soon had a new template in his mind.
First draw the design, then take out the materials that have been prepared from the laboratory's inventory, and start the research.
I hope that the intelligence of the puppet created this time can be higher.
It is enough to be smarter than General Earth, the imbecile son.
The sequence of making artificial humans is actually not complicated.
The first step is shaping, changing the nature of Yin and Yang chakras to give vitality to the shaping material, and then using natural energy as their life energy, and setting characteristics that can independently adjust and absorb external natural energy.
Next, is the most critical step.
With the body of life, only the soul is left to fill.
A body without a soul is an incomplete life.
And the main body of this soul... is Shiraishi himself.
Transfer part of your soul fragments with soul spells.
After being trained, adjusted, and filled into the manufactured puppet body.
The last procedure is to put the puppet fused with fragments of one's own soul into a floor-standing glass container full of natural energy for perfect fusion.
Shiraishi just quietly watched his new 'child' give birth to life from the instrument...
•••
In the following time, Shiraishi quietly waited for his 'child' to be born, and at the same time watched the progress of the fusion of Sage arts.
In the afternoon, Shiraishi went to work at the ninja school.
After returning from get off work, the 'child' in the laboratory still hasn't woken up, and it should still need to absorb a lot of energy to be fully born.
Soon the day passed.
The next morning, Shiraishi went to Ruri's room as usual.
Did not see Ruri.
She has not come back for a day.
She is probably leading the little children who just graduated from ninja school to perform a mission outside the village.
Suddenly, Shiraishi felt a little unspeakable feeling in his heart. Looking at the empty glazed room, he felt a little lost.
Since I lived in this place, it seems that I have never been separated from Ruri for such a long time.
It's a bit strange to miss her.
While thinking this way, Shiraishi walked towards the underground laboratory.
There is still no change in the laboratory. The 'child' he created is still closing eyes tightly in the floor-standing glass instrument, absorbing the natural energy inside.
Shiraishi looked at the sage fusion data on the computer, and it has improved a bit compared to yesterday. Although the range is not large, it is indeed very close to success.
The whole morning was wasted like this, and the research form of Sage art was also adjusted during the period, but the distance from success was always a little bit less interesting.
Shiraishi thought of the witch who was far away in the kingdom of demons. These days, he has communicated a lot of letters with the other party through General Earth.
But most of them are some cooperation exchanges.
For example, set up a company in the country of demons, and hope that the government of the country of demons will provide convenience as a neutral country and further cooperate.
But Shiraishi knows that the witches in the kingdom of demons know how to use natural energy.
She also reminded him of the words 'be careful of Mount Myōboku'.
Mount Myōboku, one of the three holy places, is also one of the origins of sage arts.
That priestess, doesn't she also know sage art?
But asking this way, would it be too sudden? After all, if it were something as important as Sage art, it would be impossible to hand it over to others easily.
Asking such a secret question rashly may cause the relationship between the two parties to break down.
After all, this is likely to involve an important inheritance of the witch family that cannot be leaked.
"It's really difficult..."
Shiraishi frowned tightly, seeing that it was past twelve o'clock on the clock, he simply gave up thinking about it and went out to eat.
When he came back again, Shiraishi was slightly taken aback.
In the floor-standing glass instrument used to raise his 'child', his 'child' disappeared.
The natural energy inside is still there, and the glass instrument is not damaged in any way, as if the whole person has erased traces from the glass instrument.
Shiraishi took a few steps forward, and immediately noticed that the atmosphere in the laboratory was not right.
shadow.
Lots of shadows.
Countless shadows were spinning on the wall, on the floor, and on Shiraishi's body in a weird and twisted way.
Blurred shadows, silent silence.
In this strange and distorted shadow dance, it gives people a somewhat confusing and mysterious feeling.
Eventually, all the shadows stopped.
Gathered at one point.
In front of Shiraishi, an entity quietly protruded from the ground.
"Father."
An indifferent female voice.
Dressed in pitch black, with pure black flowing long hair, a pure black metal mask, and a pair of cold eyes that were completely occupied by pure black pupils were exposed.
The shadow of the night like ice and snow.
She knelt on one knee, offering the utmost respect and adoration to her Creator.
Shiraishi's eyes were full of relief. From her cold eyes, he could tell that this was different from that idiot General Earth.
This is a daughter with normal intelligence.
At this time, another object protruded from the ground, a mud head.
When it was about to confide something, a dark shadow crossed its neck.
The head with its pale golden eyes rolled up on the ground, hitting a wall before stopping.
The shadow girl, who was still paying tribute to Shiraishi, said in a proud and cold tone: "Father, the enemy has been dealt with cleanly."
"..."
"Father?"
The shadow girl spoke in a doubtful tone.
Why doesn’t Father still praise me?
"He's your brother..."
The shadow girl froze and lowered her head, as if she was at a loss.
Shiraishi sighed softly, so he had no choice but to comfort her and said, "But you don't have to worry too much. Your brother has a brain problem and won't remember these things. Just treat him better in the future."
