Escape from konoha 70
🕑 Added 2023-09-08 13:50:19 +0000 UTCI saw Sakumo at nine o'clock in the morning the next day, and the Three of them arrived at the Konoha camp on the front line of the Fire Nation.
Basically there is no change between now and before. If there is a change, it is that the atmosphere here is more tense than before.
However, the last task of cutting off the supply of Sand village, although the Three of them and the others 'failed' the task due to the disturbance of the roots, but Hatake Sakumo completed the task very beautifully.
He destroyed the important supply point of Sand village by himself, causing Sand village's offensive strength to become weak for a while.
"In other words, as long as you survive this winter, will the Sand village be crushed?"
Shiraishi asked.
It is already the beginning of October, and the weather is getting cooler, especially in December, when the Kingdom of Fire and the Congress of Rivers enter the season of cold winter.
The sand hidden ninjas don't have enough supplies to survive this winter, and in the early spring, the situation will become extremely unfavorable for sand hidden.
"It is generally true that this is true, but whether Sand village will really retreat, we are not sure, we can only say that the possibility is very high."
Sakumo nodded.
In the case of insufficient supplies, launching the last fierce attack and opening the gap into the country of fire is also a way out for Sand village.
After all, the third Kazekage is taking the lead this time, so he must be fully prepared.
The more this is the case, the more we must be very careful not to let the sand ninjas take advantage of it.
"Then what is the task assigned to our team?"
"It's still the same as before, looking for lone sand ninja troops to annihilate, and reducing the pressure on the frontal battlefield from the side."
Shuomo replied like this.
He is very aware of his limits as a ninja. He does not have any large-scale ninjutsu attacks, and all his strength comes from body and sword techniques.
Therefore, he will have a headache for the enemy who has a large area of ninjutsu attacks, but on the other hand, his taijutsu and swordsmanship are all at their peak.
If there is no way to keep up with his speed and lack of defenses against White Fang's dagger, for him, killing the enemy is only a blow or a few blow away.
This point, Shiraishi and the others are also very clear.
He is a ninja with obvious flaws and strengths.
Suitable for close combat, but in long range combat, it will limit his strength.
Because he has more things to consider on the frontal battlefield, avoiding the kunai and Explosive tags flying over from nowhere, if he encounters many companions in distress, whether to save or not is also a question worthy of serious consideration.
In this way, his sword skills will become hesitant and dull, and he will not be able to exert 100% of his strength.
Hatake Sakumo has nothing to complain about.
Ninjas are assigned jobs that suit them because of their different abilities and personalities.
He is only suitable for this kind of action and combat. For example, Sannin is not competent for his work, and he is not competent for Sannin's work.
"You just arrived here today, let's rest here for a day, and we will start the mission tomorrow morning."
"yes."
Sakumo said a word to Shiraishi before leaving: "By the way, I forgot to say, Shiraishi, if you have nothing to do, you can go to the medical camp to have a look. Now the medical ninjas here on the front line are still in short supply. Although it is only one day, you can relieve the pressure there."
"I see."
Shiraishi nodded and walked towards the medical camp.
It is true to relieve the pressure of the medical team, but how much pressure can be relieved, Shiraishi also knows that it is just Hatake Sakumo's words of comfort.
No matter how you say it, treating patients is the bounden duty of a medical ninja, and Shiraishi has no reason to refuse.
However, in Shiraishi's view, Konoha still has the defect of insufficient number of medical ninjas. It is entirely because of his own cognition and execution strategy problems that lead to such a result.
Konoha attaches great importance to medical education, and it is also because of the medical reform proposed by Tsunade a few years ago that he began to train medical ninjas.
But in the beginning, Konoha did not pay much attention to medical reform.
In their eyes, instead of allocating resources to medical ninjas with weak combat capabilities, it is better to train more powerful ninjas and strengthen the combat effectiveness of the village.
However, after experiencing the extremely tragic War of the Land of Rain, it was discovered that the resources were tilted to the powerful ninjas, and the death rate remained high, so they began to enforce medical ninjutsu courses in ninja schools.
Shiraishi is the first batch of medical ninja experimental class members of the medical reform, and he is well aware of how slack Konoha has been in training medical ninjas.
If Tsunade hadn't proposed this reform...Maybe Konoha would not have paid attention to the profession of medical ninja until now.
(PS: I remember in the original book that when Tsunade proposed medical reform, all the high-level and Jonin, including the third Hokage, were not interested in Tsunade’s proposal. Only Kato Dan supported Tsunade, and it may be for Tsunade’s body...)
When he came to the camp where the medical team was located, he could hear the wailing and crying of the wounded, and the smell of disinfectant and blood mixed into Shiraishi's nostrils.
Coupled with the limited scope of the camp, some wounded could only lie outside and receive sloppy treatment.
Prioritize rescuing severely injured ninjas, and then treat moderately and mildly injured patients. This is the rule of Konoha Medical Corps.
Here, Shiraishi also saw Tsunade, but he didn't go to where Tsunade was performing medical ninjutsu to treat the wounded.
Shiraishi explained the purpose of his visit to the deputy commander here, and the other party was very happy. At this time, one more medical ninja is equivalent to rescuing a few more wounded.
Especially the other party is the medical ninja specially equipped for Hatake Sakumo's team. He is the first batch of students in the medical experimental class of the ninja school. No matter how you look at it, medical ninja can't be too bad.
So, he assigned more than a dozen moderately and mildly injured people to Shiraishi at once, as well as some medical supplies, and asked him to go to work quickly.
Shiraishi walked to an open space, where the floor was paved, and there were many injured Konoha ninjas lying there, and there were about dozens of wounded.
With Shiraishi, there are three medical ninjas, the oldest is in his thirties, and the youngest is a few years older than Shiraishi.
Even though they are both medical ninjas, they didn't communicate at all, or maybe they didn't have the time at all.
Shiraishi concentrated on using the healing technique to treat the wounds of these wounded with skillful and standardized movements.
During the treatment process, Shiraishi will also communicate with the injured to relieve the pressure in their hearts and treat them better.
"It's alright, now you just need to rest for two days."
"I know you, you are a member of the Sakumo Team, you are really a powerful medical ninjutsu."
The cured Konoha Ninja praised Shiraishi in a kind tone.
"No, I still have many shortcomings compared to my predecessors."
Regarding this kind of praise, Shiraishi just smiled modestly.
After all, compared to a medical ninja of Tsunade's level, he still has a lot to improve.
From the morning to the evening when it was dark, Shiraishi did not finish his medical work.
Because most of the tents were requisitioned by the medical troops, even so, some wounded were not allocated to tents, so when Shiraishi came back to meet Ruri and Ayane, they were only allocated an open space for resting.
At five o'clock in the morning the next morning, the sky was dark, and the Three of them had already woken up.
Some Konoha ninjas are still asleep, and many Konoha ninjas are patrolling the outer circle of the camp, mainly the perception ninjas and ninjas of the Hyuga clan.
When Hatake Sakumo came to look for them, the Three of them were ready, food pills, antidote, kunai, Explosive tags, sealing scrolls, medical kits, etc., all equipped without missing anything.
As the only auxiliary medical personnel in the team, Shiraishi was assigned to equip as much supplies as possible, so he stuffed food and water in his backpack.
The next mission of the Hatake Sakumo team can also be said to have no mission content.
Annihilate the enemy when you encounter them, support your companions when you encounter them, and if you encounter the transport convoy of Sand Ninja by chance destroy them.
It’s like Sand village sent elite troops to make trouble inside the Fire Country before, to distract Konoha’s attention, and even make the front-line Konoha ninjas dare not move casually.
The same is true for the mission of Hatake Sakumo's team this time.
Go deep into the country of Rivers, and even the country of wind, to carry out sabotage work behind enemy lines, and let Hatake Sakumo's team deal with it according to the situation on the spot.
The front gave the Hatake Sakumo team a lot of freedom, which also means that this mission is very dangerous.
Not to mention Shiraishi and Ayane, Ruri is already eager to try it.
After the last battle, her ninjutsu, physical skills, and illusion have all grown a lot, and her Sharingan has also been upgraded to the 3 tomoe.
This kind of growth is obvious, and Hatake Sakumo is also very satisfied with it, thinking that if he wants to deal with Ruri today, he can't take it lightly.
••••
November, mid-day.
The country of Rivers, Sand Hidden Camp.
Third Kazekage looked at the information sent by the people below with a gloomy face. In the past month, it has been frequently reported that the sand ninja team performing patrol missions in the country of Rivers was wiped out by the enemy.
"Konoha White Fang!"
Third Kazekage slammed his fist on the table fiercely, his eyes burning with anger.
Even if you don’t need to look at the intelligence information, you know who did such a thing.
Except for Konoha White fang, none of the jounin that Konoha can dispatch now has such a terrifying speed of annihilation.
The speed is so fast that it looks like a tornado. Wherever it goes, no grass will grow, and the roots will be uprooted.
All the Jounin squads were killed without mercy , without leaving anything behind.
Besides the long-renowned Konoha White Fang, Third Kazekage couldn’t think of any other Konoha jounin who could do this.
His most trusted puppet troops, two elites, were also annihilated by the team led by White Fang in the Land of Fire, and even the corpses are still in Konoha's hands.
The power Sand village can mobilize is not much higher than Konoha, the only variable is that he, Kazekage, has an unused trump card—Shukaku.
The poisonous attack strategy created by Sand village was broken by the Konoha ninja Tsunade.
He is fine for fighting head-on, but the overall quality of sand ninjas is worse than that of Konoha ninjas. In addition to the shortage of medical ninjas in the camp, the death rate is a little higher than Konoha's.
Now there is the problem of White Fang harassing the rear again, Konoha's next step...
Sure enough, not long after, a jōnin came in to report that there was a change in the Konoha camp. Nearly a thousand ninjas set out from the camp and headed here from the front.
But the moment they entered the border of the Country of Rivers , Konoha's thousand-man troops stopped moving, as if they were just going out for a parade.
But Third Kazekage understands that Konoha intends to oppress Sagakure on the frontline battlefield, creating an opportunity for the White Fang team to attack.
If Sand village goes after White Fang's team desperately, Konoha's large army will press up from the front.
"Is that guy Bunpuku still not agreeing?"
Third Kazekage looked at a sand ninja with a solemn expression.
"He didn't agree. No matter how I persuade him, he didn't agree to use Shukaku's power. He said that I hope that you, Kazekage-sama, will regard peace as the most important thing. Stopping the war is the best for the sand village."
Jōnin replied.
"Stop the war for the sake of sand village?"
Third Kazekage cast his sights in the direction of the Land of Fire.
The land there is richer than the land of the wind, Konoha's talented ninjas emerge endlessly, White Fang, Sannin, Kato Dan...
The ninja clan includes the three clans of Ina-shika-chu, and other famous ninja clans, Sarutobi, Shimura, Inuzuka, Aburame and so on.
What's more frightening is that Uchiha and Hyuga, the most well-preserved ancient blood-heritage giants in the ninja world, are also among Konoha.
With such a strong lineup, Third Kazekage felt a heavy heart when he thought of this.
Now, if you don’t take advantage of Konoha’s recovery from the Land of Rain War and plunder resources in the Land of Fire, it will be extremely difficult to reap the benefits after Konoha recovers.
Because Konoha is getting stronger and stronger, it has caused enough pressure on the surrounding countries and ninja villages.
If this continues, as Konoha gets stronger and stronger, there will be less and less room for Sand village to live.
I can only continue to reduce military expenditures and the number of ninjas. I can only watch Konoha's ninjas grow more and more, and the military expenditures are becoming more and more sufficient, making konoha unique in the ninja world.
By that time, Sand village will completely linger under the leaves.
Third Kazekage doesn’t want to see that kind of sand village, no matter how powerful Konoha is, he still wants to fight.
As long as Konoha's power can be weakened, Sand village can breathe a sigh of relief and see the hope of prosperity.
If there is no war, there is no hope at all.
Therefore, the idea of "peace is the most important" that keeps the cranes and the pillars to share the blessings is just from an individual point of view, but between countries, there is no justice and evil, only strong and weak, and only gains and losses.
"He is not suitable for this ninja world. Although Shukaku is very safe in his body, if he does not take the initiative to stimulate, there is no risk of going berserk. But it also means that Sand village will not be able to use this weapon. The weapon cannot be used. This is the greatest tragedy for war. It seems that we need to replace Jinchuriki..."
Hearing Third Kazekage's words, the jonin was shocked.
"Master Kazekage, this..."
"Don't worry, I just mentioned it casually. After all, the transfer of the tail beast is of great importance, and it must be decided through a high-level meeting."
Third Kazekage said this, but he couldn't make the Jōnin feel at ease.
"Then what should we do now?"
This Jōnin is very helpless.
This is the most difficult place for Sand village.
Compared with Konoha, not only is there a gap in overall quality, but it is also not as good as Konoha in terms of top ninjas.
Just one Konoha White Fang gave them a headache. If such a dangerous ninja was left to destroy in the rear, the sand ninjas will all be terrified.
Recently, many sand ninjas are afraid to take on the task of patrolling the country of Rivers.
Facing that White Fang, many sand ninjas have already started to feel terrified.
"I already have a countermeasure. This is a personal letter from The Iwagakure Third Tsuchikage Onoki. He will help us in secret."
"Is that Tsuchikage? To be honest, I don't recommend Kazekage-sama to cooperate with that Tsuchikage."
"This is our only chance."
Three Kazekage said.
As he spoke, he sat down on his desk and drafted two letters.
After writing the letter, he handed it to his confidant next to him, and said: "One letter is sent to Konoha's commander Orochimaru, and the other letter is sent to Konoha White Fang by the patrol team."
"This is…"
Jōnin looked at Third Kazekage in bewilderment.
"Go down."
"yes."
Although he was puzzled, this Jōnin went down and carried out this task.
"All this is for the sake of the sand village..."
Third Kazekage murmured faintly, a sharp breath flashed in his eyes.
•••
The western part of the country of Rivers.
It is at the junction of the country of wind and the country of Rivers.
The sand ninja who supported the country of the river from the country of the wind will pass by this road.
The four members of the Hatake Sakumo team carried out the annihilation strategy here.
Annihilate all the sand ninjas in front of you without leaving a single one.
After annihilating a team, get out immediately, never procrastinate, find a hidden place to hide, and then continue to annihilate after a while.
Sakumo, the long-established Jōnin aside, Ruri and Ayane are also Jōnin-level in strength, and they also have a special blood succession limit. The destructive power brought by the three is amazing.
Shiraishi only needs to provide some small assistance behind the team, such as poisoned smoke bombs and throwing Explosive tags.
In non-combat times, local materials are used to make medicines, such as food pills and antidotes. After all, Sand Ninja’s puppet master weapons are highly poisonous, and it is dangerous to accidentally rub them.
In this way, the Hatake Sakumo team's long-lasting combat capability has been increased.
This morning, another six-member sand ninja team was eliminated.
It doesn’t seem like many, but since accepting this mission more than a month ago, they have been fighting, fighting, and constantly dying at the hands of their team. There are hundreds of sand ninjas in total.
When you are lucky, you will also encounter a convoy from the Land of Winds entering the Land of Rivers, and burn Sand village’s few supplies, and then use the agile mobility to create chaos with Ruri’s large-scale Fire Style Technique, fleeing far away, and avoiding being surrounded by large troops.
If there are fewer people chasing, they will be annihilated by their team in reverse.
If there are more chasing ninjas, use the super high mobility to lead the opponent around the country of Rivers.
Unless Sand village dispatched more than a few hundred ninjas at one time, including more than 20 jounin, it would be impossible to encircle them in the country of Rivers.
If Third Kazekage really had this kind of determination to divide up so much of his vital force, Sand village would have no chance of defeating Konoha, and the loss would be even greater.
Shiraishi skillfully rummaged through the dead sand ninja corpses, looking for things.
Scrolls that may record ninjutsu and information, Explosive tags used for combat, and food pills for recovery, all of which are taken away until the backpack was full.
Shiraishi couldn't help sighing that following Hatake Sakumo, the task was done so smoothly.
The last time the three of them faced groups of sand ninja, they could only run around.
Even though their strength has become stronger now, they dare not confront Sand village's large army head-on.
Now there is Hatake Sakumo as the leader, small-scale troops, as long as there are no more than a hundred people, go directly to fight.
If there are more than a hundred people, they will adopt a wandering strategy and lead the sand ninjas around.
To chase or not to chase, this choice must be very tangled for sand ninjas.
If you catch up, you may die. If you don’t catch up, Sakumo’s team will continue to wreak havoc, attacking sand ninja patrols and attacking their transport convoys.
With the Byakugan of Ayane, you don't have to worry about setting up a battle in a hurry. When you encounter a large-scale army, you just need to break through from the weakest place.
In terms of the ability to break through, Sakumo took the lead in the charge, and it can be said that he can come and go freely within the territory of the country of Rivers.
"Okay, the search here is almost done."
The six corpses on the ground of Shiraishi were groped clean.
There is one Jounin ninja, three chunin ninjas, and two genin ninjas.
During a face-to-face meeting, Sand village troops were completely wiped out by Ruri and Ayane without letting Hatake Sakumo make a move.
Hatake Sakumo contributed the most, but without the assistance of the three of them, it would not have been so smooth. At least the problem of continuous supply would be a headache.
Sakumo nodded and started to leave.
The three of them followed closely behind, moving extremely quickly.
In this way, he was running at the junction of the country of the river and the country of the wind.
Rest when you are tired, eat dry food, drink some water, and then go on the road.
Until about three o'clock in the afternoon, a four-member sand ninja team appeared in Ayane's eyes.
Sakumo did not hesitate, and carried out an annihilation operation against this sand ninja team according to the previous rhythm.
"Something is strange."
Ayane said something.
"What's weird?"
Ruri looked at her.
"There should be one person in this team who is a perception ninja. He sensed our existence, but he didn't escape, and he is n't ready to fight..."
Hearing what Ayane said, the other three frowned slightly.
"They seem to be waiting for us to pass by."
Ayane said uncertainty.
"Are there any traps lying around?" Hatake Sakumo asked.
Ayane looked carefully and shook her head.
Don't talk about traps, these sand ninjas didn't even invoke Chakra, and they didn't intend to use long-range ninjutsu to attack.
Just as they were about to approach, one of the sand ninjas broke away from the team and rushed towards them.
Under Ayane's signal, Hatake Sakumo stopped, and Shiraishi and Ruri also stopped.
It didn't take long for the sand ninja to arrive in front of them in the form of an instant appearance.
He didn't do anything, just took out a sealed letter from the ninja bag.
"Your Excellency White Fang, this is a letter from our Lord Kazekage, please read it."
The other party looked businesslike.
Ayane nodded to Sakumo. There was no poison or chakra flowing in this letter, it was just a normal letter.
Sakumo walked over, took the letter from the sand ninja, opened it, glanced at it, and narrowed his eyes slightly.
"I see, I will confirm this matter myself."
The sand ninja nodded and disappeared from Sakumo.
"Sakumo-Sensei, this letter is..."
Shiraishi and the others came up to watch, curious about the contents of the letter.
Hatake Sakumo didn't hide anything, and spread out the letter for Shiraishi and the others to read.
At the top of the letter, there are only three words—a settlement letter.
This is from the third Kazekage of Sand village, a signal to stop the war with Konoha.
"Is this letter credible?"
"I don't know, let's see what Orochimaru will say. If he agrees, the war will end here. If he doesn't agree, we will continue to carry out our mission. Before receiving an official order, the mission will be temporarily suspended, and there is no need to attack the sand ninja."
After Hatake Sakumo finished speaking, he looked into the distance with deep eyes.
