Escape from konoha 62
🕑 Added 2023-09-05 14:04:59 +0000 UTCAbout a day later.
In the forest at the junction of the Land of Rivers and the Land of Fire, a team of three rushed back towards the Land of Fire.
Compared to the tense atmosphere when going to the country of the river, the current atmosphere has become much more relaxed and freehand.
The team that rushed back to the border of the Land of Fire were Shiraishi, Ruri, and Ayane.
Since the root team was wiped out, they have never encountered any enemies, and passed the day peacefully.
Both Shiraishi and Ayane's chakras have also recovered. Half a day ago, Ruri also woke up from a deep sleep. Although the injury caused by the sage art has not fully recovered and her face is still very pale, she has also recovered a little strength and has the ability to protect herself.
Considering that there are many shadows in this mission, and it may involve a game between Konoha’s high-level executives, and the sand ninjas don’t know if there will be a follow-up chasing force, so after Ruri woke up half a day ago, the three of them made a plan and rushed back to the country of fire with all their strength to find out what was going on with this mission.
It was about three o'clock in the morning, and the sky was still very dark.
Ayane carried Ruri who was temporarily unable to move on her back, and hurried on with all her strength, Shiraishi followed closely.
"Speaking of which, is it really okay to go back like this?"
Ayane seemed a little worried, and suddenly spoke.
"what do you mean?"
Shiraishi glanced at her.
"The root ninja is a member of Anbu. Although they have different affiliations, they died at our hands after all."
Ayane didn't think that nothing would happen if she went back like this.
Although the root ninja framed them first, if the mastermind behind this incident is a high-level person in Konoha, what if they know it?
Maybe they will use the reason that they killed the root ninja to convict the three of them.
"It doesn't matter, haven't those corpses been disposed of in advance? After we go back, we just need to explain that we were caught in the trap of Sand Ninja. If they ask, just insist that we didn't see any roots."
Ruri, lying on Ayane's back, breathed lightly, and spoke slowly.
"That'll be fine?"
"Of course not. But as long as we deny that we didn't see it, there is nothing they can do without evidence. In the end, I will use the power of Uchiha to put pressure on the village's senior management with the wrong information source. If the other party wants to get to the bottom of it, then let everyone know about it. Let's see how they end up."
Ruri said in a calm tone.
Regarding this, Ayane also nodded in agreement.
She couldn't use Hyuga's power to put pressure on Konoha's senior management, but Ruri was different.
She is one of the candidates for the next patriarch of the Uchiha clan. Within Uchiha, she has enough prestige and even has a group of fans who are very loyal to her.
This is the power of a wealthy family, even Konoha's high-level executives have to weigh one or two.
"Sometimes I really envy you, Ruri."
Ayane lowered her head and smiled slightly.
"Envy? Speaking of which, you two haven't settled the account of hooking up behind my back."
Ruri frowned, dissatisfied with this.
Shiraishi and Ayane smiled awkwardly, turned their faces away, and did not answer Ruri's question directly.
"After you go back, it's best to explain this matter clearly."
"Yes, I understand. It's not a big deal anyway."
Shiraishi touched his head, looking distressed.
What should I say, explain everything, or tell half and half of it, so that this matter can be exposed smoothly. The power of words is really charming.
"However, I didn't expect you to choose the risky way, using the unfinished sage art to stimulate the fire style. After you go back, it's better to have a re-examination for your safety."
"Worry. I will do whatever I like."
Ruri snorted, shook her black hair, and turned her head away.
"What a hassle..."
Hearing Shiraishi complaining there again, Ayane smiled, and was about to say something, when suddenly two figures appeared in the vision of her Byakugan.
"Someone coming from behind, it is Jiraiya Jonin, and an old classmate from the class next door."
Ayane quickly revealed the identities of the two ninjas chasing after them.
Both Shiraishi and Ruri frowned.
Although wondering why Jiraiya and Minato appeared here, the three of them stopped and waited for the two to catch up from behind.
After a while, Jiraiya and Minato appeared in front of the three of them. The two of them were travel-stained, and there were signs of fighting on their bodies, and they seemed to have suffered a little.
After seeing that Shiraishi and the other three were fine, Jiraiya also heaved a sigh of relief, and said with a smile, "That's great, as long as the three of you are fine."
If these three people died in a conspiracy, then he may have to live in guilt for the rest of his life.
The clothes on the three of them bodies were a little torn, and there were bloodstains on them. It was clear at a glance that the three of them had experienced a very cruel battle and escaped from death.
"Jiraiya Jonin, and that yellow hair, why are you two here?"
Ruri asked Jiraiya why he came here in a cold tone.
"Well, Uchiha-san, my name is Namikaze Mina..."
"Shut up, yellow-haired guy, I didn't ask you, I asked your sensei."
Jiraiya patted Minato on the shoulder who was smiling wryly. Minato had heard that Ruri was a difficult person at school, so he didn't take offense at it.
"It's a long story about this matter, but the most important thing is the safety of the three of you. The village will definitely give you an explanation later."
"Explanation?"
There was a contemptuous sneer at the corner of Ruri's mouth.
"Yes, I will personally vouch for you..."
"No need. Uchiha's matter, Uchiha will solve it by himself, no outsiders need to intervene!"
Ruri's attitude is also very tough.
Hearing this, Jiraiya became more certain, Ruri and the others understood some of the problems in this mission.
For example, the root... No, They must know it.
Especially Ruri, a ninja from a wealthy family, has excellent vision and brains, and Jiraiya does not dare fool around in this matter.
"I just do what I should do. If Uchiha wants to pursue it, that is your business. I help you only out of the responsibility and obligation of the ninjas in the same village."
I also smiled when I came here, it would be better to say that he is also happy to see this matter.
There is nothing happier than being able to deflate that guy in Danzo.
"I hope so."
For Jiraiya's promise, Ruri doesn't take it seriously.
The so-called Sannin, in the eyes of the entire Uchiha, is no more than this level.
Besides, they still belong to the Senju clan, and Ruri only believed half of Jiraiya's words.
"Compared to this kind of innocence, I'm curious what punishment Hokage-sama will give to the high-level man who made a mistake. That's the key, isn't it?"
Ruri's sarcastic words made Jiraiya sigh helplessly.
A little girl can see things so clearly, Uchiha is indeed a powerful family that cannot be ignored.
Shiraishi was silent on the sidelines, acting as a small transparent person in the eyes of everyone.
•••
It will be a few hours before we return to Konoha Camp.
Not long after dawn, the Konoha ninjas in the camp came out of their tents one after another.
During the shift change of the staff on duty, the medical ninjas rushed to the simple infirmary without even having breakfast, and alternated with the medical ninjas who had been busy there all night.
Because the captain of the Sakumo team, Hatake Sakumo, has not returned and is still in the mission, Ruri is temporarily the captain, and reports the mission content to the most senior officer here, Orochimaru.
Jiraiya took Minato to do his work elsewhere.
Shiraishi and Ayane were bored not far from the tent.
"Yo, Shiraishi, it's been a long time. You're much stronger than before."
The voice came from one side, it was a familiar and very hearty female voice.
Turning his head, what Shiraishi saw was a beautiful woman with pale golden hair.
After Shiraishi was stunned for a moment, the other party smirked and said, "Why, don't you recognize me?"
Shiraishi finally came to his senses and bowed to the female ninja: "Long time no see, Tsunade-sensei."
Although he wasn’t a direct disciple, Tsunade was indeed the instructor of Konoha’s first batch of medical ninja experimental training classes, and he taught Shiraishi a lot of knowledge about medical ninjutsu.
"Hello, Tsunade-nin."
Ayane also bowed, and quickly saluted Tsunade.
Tsunade just waved her hand and smiled: "No need to do this, just be casual. There is no problem in this mission, right?"
She asked intentionally or unintentionally.
Shiraishi didn't think about anything, so he answered honestly: "I heard from Ruri that this is a trap set by sand ninjas. They deliberately used wrong information to guide us Konoha ninjas to destroy them."
Then, he showed a very puzzled look, as if he didn't quite understand what was going on with this mission.
Ayane coughed twice from the side.
"Little girl from the Hyuga family, are you feeling unwell?"
Tsunade looked at her.
"Well, when I came back, I found that my throat was a bit uncomfortable, and I might have a cold."
Ayane replied.
"Girls should pay attention to their bodies." Tsunade set her eyes on Shiraishi again, patted his head lightly, and said softly, "It's okay, as long as the matter passes, I will settle the next matter for you."
"Thank you Tsunade-sensei. But Sand Shinobi is really too despicable, Tsunade-sensei should be careful."
Looking at Shiraishi's simple and harmless eyes that cared about him, Tsunade sighed inwardly.
That guy in Danzo is damned.
These are the pillars of Konoha's future.
Tsunade cared about Shiraishi again, and before entering the camp, she also gave Shiraishi a few scrolls, all of which were Tsunade's valuable experience in medical ninjutsu.
She sincerely admires a simple and honest boy like Shiraishi. Even though he is not very talented in medical ninjutsu, he may have entered the Sakumo team because of his nepotism. However, his serious and dedicated spirit is worthy of her vigorous training of such a hard-working junior ninja.
Uchiha's little girl must also have taken a fancy to him. Tsunade thought in her heart.
"Shiraishi-kun, you are really bad."
Ayane watched Tsunade enter the camp, and complained to Shiraishi.
If she didn't know the truth, she would have almost believed Shiraishi's nonsense.
"I don't want to do this either, but this is the capital I rely on for survival. And I don't feel good about cheating on someone who treats me so sincerely. She is a ninja who, like Fujimura-Sensei, sincerely hopes for me besides you."
Speaking of this, Shiraishi thought of Fujimura Taiga, the head teacher who accompanied him through his six years of study.
I don’t know if he has ended his single dog career now, but he is already a Chunin-sama, who is in his 30s, it’s really worrying.
Ten minutes later, Ruri walked out of the tent with a displeased face.
Because the physical injury is still not healed, the walking speed is not fast.
"What did the above say?"
Shiraishi and Ayane approached and asked.
Ruri glanced at the two of them, tried to suppress the anger in her heart and said, "What else can I do, Commander Orochimaru-sama, let the three of us return to the village immediately to stand by."
"immediately?"
"Return to the village and wait for orders?"
These two interrogative words came out of Shiraishi and Ayane successively, with surprised expressions.
"Wait, Sakumo-Sensei hasn't come back yet..."
"He told us not to wait for him to come back. Now we will leave immediately and the wounded who cannot participate in the battle back to the village with other teams."
Ruri repeated such an order uncomfortably.
"Is that so? It seems that things are much more troublesome than I imagined."
Shiraishi said something meaningful.
Although Sakumo's team has special duties, the commander-in-chief of the battlefield is Orochimaru, one of the Sannin.
He has a higher on-the-spot dispatch authority than their team leader Sakumo Hatake.
Therefore, no matter how much the Three of them protested, it was useless. They could only obediently return to the village and wait for orders.
As for Sakumo's affairs, the three of them are completely unknown. There are still many unresolved questions about the fault of this mission, but presumably Orochimaru, as the commander, will not reveal it to the three of them.
In the final analysis, it is the lack of identity and strength.
If Sakumo is here, even if Orochimaru has a higher status, he can't ignore Sakumo's question.
"That's it, pack up and get ready to go."
Ruri was full of displeasure, she had no plans to go back to the village.
It’s only been a few days since I came to the frontline battlefield, and now I’m going back again, I’m really playing with her like a toy.
Half an hour later, a lot of ninjas had gathered in the Konoha camp, and a lot of carriages were prepared, and there were many wounded people resting in the carriages.
In addition to the three of them, there were more than 30 Konoha ninjas, including four Jonin, and several medical staff in the team, responsible for recuperating the wounded.
•••
"Why do you want the three of them to go back?"
In the tent, Tsunade sat aside, looking at the pale young ninja in puzzlement.
His jet black long hair hangs straight down, his face is handsome, but with a bit of femininity.
This person is Konoha's commander-in-chief Orochimaru of the frontline forces against Sand Hidden.
Along with Jiraiya and Tsunade, he is listed as the Sannin ninja.
Facing Tsunade's question, Orochimaru gave a very simple reason: "The war is imminent, and I don't want to make my place a mess because of this troublesome political dispute."
"But let the three of them go back like this..."
"Don't let Sakumo know about this matter. He is not suitable for this kind of political field, and he might cause other troubles. Now Konoha's main goal is to repel sand ninja, and I don't want to be distracted by this kind of thing."
Orochimaru shook his head, no matter what the truth of this matter was, he was not interested.
He will not be distracted by this kind of thing, and the final result depends on Hokage himself, he is not the one who makes the final decision.
"I'm not worried about Uchiha and Hyuga's little girl, but that kid..."
"You care about him?"
Orochimaru looked at Tsunade with interest.
"He is one of the students I have taught. I don't want him to touch the dark side of the village. He just needs to do his job as a medical ninja and live."
Tsunade sighed.
"Yes, in this chaotic age, surviving is the best result. But the growth of human beings is often accompanied by pain, and the experience of the coldness of the world. Just like Nawaki is to you, and it is the same to me."
Orochimaru said this, looking at his hands, a gloomy look flashed in his eyes.
“Actually, we can’t do anything, and we can’t change anything…”
