Goodbye, my Friend
🕑 Added 2024-12-13 19:13:30 +0000 UTCDidn't have anything up today. My sweet old dog passed on Wednesday. He was loved and spoiled and carried on even as he got weaker. The walks got shorter, his gait stiffer, and he was so tired. He wanted to be let go to so he could run again with his sister, Sadie. He had his dignity to the end.
He got a last meal fit for a dog of his stature; 100% organic grass-fed beef patty with Irish cave-aged cheddar and an Italian brioche bun. He rested his head on his mama's lap and she gently stroked his head as he went.
Dogs exist in a quantum state in which they are all the best dogs at the same time, but sometimes... sometimes, one bright little star shines extra bright.
