Honestly, I don’t feel like these votes are very balanced. For instance, Gundam is much more well known than Mashinen Krieger. Gundam is almost always going to win in a head-to-head vote-off which means we’ll be getting tons of Gundam and Ma.K. will never get produced, despite have a dedicated and enthusiastic following. This leads to a kind of same-same output each month, with tons of one IP and nothing from another. It leads to less variety. I propose that there be multiple votes a month, 2-3, and that each vote compares projects from roughly similar popularity. Run Gundam and Titanfall and Metal Gear Solid against each other for the “popular” slot, then run Ma.K. against Jin-roh against Gear Krieg for the “Deep Cut” project that month, etc. I think that’d lead to a greater variety of projects for us, the fans, and a wider variety of challenges for you, the artist. I say this in all love and respect; I’m one of your earliest backers! Thanks for listening.
