Carrying a sword makes you a big nerd. Just once I'd like to be on the internet and not get called out XD

This made me feel a lot better about the character design I came up with for my cleric I’m playing!

Y’know, maybe I’ve been listening to too many horror podcasts/reading too many SCP articles lately, but for an instant when Tasha made her “I have a spell for that” remark after mentioning putting one in stitches, I couldn’t help but imagine a spell that turned people into weird patchwork abominations straight out of some body horror tale. Not super relevant, just thought I’d put that out there so it could haunt someone else’s dreams as well as my own 😁

There’s definitely a lot to be said about intertwining visuals and personality/mindset! This was already a twenty minute video so I left the deeper dive into what “how does your character want to be seen” could mean to the viewer’s interpretation.

Hope you have a wonderful time at PAXU

Having recently tasked myself with creating 9 10th level characters with an array vibes, this video comes at a very serendipitous time.

a lot of times I get a mental image of the character and then wonder why are they like that-sad, confident, aloof, fill in the details and see what is needed to fill in the mental image I have. is he confident becasue he's that good or becasue he's covering massive insecurities. sad becasue of betrayal? did that make him bitter or determined to do better?

I tend to build characters in Hero Forge based purely on what visual or feeling I feel. Then i eventually reverse engineer a D&D build to accomodate the vibe

Safe travels, have fun, watch out for bridge trolls.
