Once Upon a Dream
🕑 Added 2024-04-29 15:45:26 +0000 UTCI got to attend the "Once Upon a Dream ball" last night from Second Star Events and it was magical! 😍 I've never seen so many people in full fantasy dress in one place before — unlike a Renaissance Festival or a convention, there wasn't a single person who wasn't dressed for the occasion. Josh even let me glue elf ears on him!
Plus, I finally got to meet fellow Coloradan and women-in-armor-lover Laurendoescosplay, and also Jessica Nigri made a surprise appearance?!
There will be a little vlog-style Instagram reel coming this week to show you what it was like!

Believe it or not, that is the doublet that my dad sewed for his own ren faire outfit back when I worked at faire! (Under my mom's careful supervision, haha.) A family heirloom! 😜

I don't follow the cosplay scene as much, so I'm unfamiliar with the other two artist, but the crown for the cosplayer in the 3rd and 4th photos is pretty epic. Also, Josh looks VERY excited to be taking that picture!
