Update on some things, and the ramblings of a madman
🕑 Added 2022-10-20 09:00:00 +0000 UTCHey, It's been a month and a half since I started Fanbox. I'm extremely glad for all the support I received so far and hope, I can someday be calling this "my job".
I think it's time to open up a bit and talk about my reasons for this and about my goals.
If you're not interested, you don't have to read, it will get cheesy. Maybe I'm writing this because, while I'm an Artist, I'm also a writer and to be quite honest, I don't get the chance lately to write that much.
Let's begin with one reason why I even resorted to set up FANBOX.
Of course I wanted to start this one day, but normally I'm pretty indecisive and will wait for years to make one small decision. The day (or more precisely, Night) was one day after my Dog died. I've had him for 15 years and he was pretty old when he died, but of all things he had to develop skin Cancer in his last months. I think he lived pretty happily but I always wished, that he could die a natural death. Instead, we had to have him put down.
I'm fairly sure, this was the moment something snapped for me. My Family always had been poor. We didn't even have the money to euthanize my dog and had to save up to finally be able to euthanize him after the tumor in his nose had grown quite big.
But in my mind, It shouldn't even have come this far. Maybe, with money, we could have prevented even that. I know, he was old, but with the right means, the cancer could have been neutralized before becoming that dangerous.
Well, sounds like the perfect tearjerker to bring people to throw money at me, right? That's exactly why I didn't start off with telling this story here. Because that wouldn't be fair. Platforms like these are for Art, not pity. I really don't want to be poor anymore, but instead of begging for money, I want to put in the work to be worthy of the support.
I myself are heavily disabled, and without revealing too much I can say, the things I can do, I will do with utmost vigor, but some things, most of them trivial to many, I can't do. I always knew, if I wanted to succeed, I had to succeed in my own way.
This Opportunity I have here, is my start. A late start, but it is what it is.
In the last two years I've lost so much, the loss of my Dog may just be the final straw to bring me here. But I've also gained some things. Maybe the first time in my life, instead of degrading, my self- confidence as an Artist-, no as a person is rising.
It's reassuring to see, that I'm being accepted as an Artist and it strenghtens my resolve even more. I want to keep drawing. There is just one direction for me, and it stops when I burn-out or succeed. But like I've said before, I don't want to reach my goals without doing anything. I will, in the Future, implement some more ways for monetization but I want to be fair.
To shed some light on my Goals and what I will be doing in the future.
Please keep in mind, that these Ideas are all work in progress an might not be implemented.
-I would want to also start with Patreon. Don't worry, this will just be done for accessibility reasons, if you're subscribed here, you don't need to subscribe there, content will be the same.
-On recommendation, I also want to honor my long time subscribers by dividing Posts here into Quarter-Packs. After the end of one quarter year, old content will become unavailable for new subscribers, but I'll be introducing a way to externally buy these "older" packs.
-If I feel comfortable enough with my schedule, I would like to post early peeks or finished drawings here up to 1-2 weaeks before publicly releasing them.
-If time and amount of demand exists, I would like to use my ability to write and "program" to incorporate Games and Books into this whole business.
-I also would like to, in the Future open a private Discord server for exchanging tips, tricks and advice or just for communication. Maybe even private streams?
There are a lot more ideas, but I think I'm stopping here, before this gets out of hand. Like described above, these are subject to change and I'm open to your advice in the comment section, if you've even read this far. If yes, please also include in your comment if a blog of this length is okay for you, because i tend to ramble a lot. Feels almost like writing a chapter of my story, "Delusion". (Well, I've checked, I'm only at 819 words so far, I can go for far longer than this, haha)
On another note, English is not my first language and I hope this isn't excruciating to read. And besides that, I'm completely unsure if the machine Translation I use for japanese is even effective or if I'm doing that for naught. Feedback on that would be appreciated.
But time to finish this, I really am grateful for this chance and fully understand that I'm the one to blame if I may happen to throw this chance away. I will write a textwall like this again in the future, but for now, thank you for reading!

Fanboxを始めてから1ヶ月半が経ちました。これまで応援してくださった皆様、本当にありがとうございました！いつかこれを「自分の仕事」と言えるようになりたいです。
そろそろ心を開いて、この仕事を始めた理由や目標について話したいと思います。
興味のない方は読まなくて結構です、安っぽくなりますから。多分、私がこれを書いているのは、私がアーティストである一方で、作家でもあり、正直に言うと、最近あまり書く機会がないからでしょう。
まず、なぜ私がFANBOXを立ち上げることにしたのか、その理由の一つを説明しましょう。
もちろん、いつかは始めたいと思っていたのですが、普段は優柔不断で、一つの小さな決断をするのに何年も待ってしまうような性格です。その日（正確には夜）は、私の愛犬が死んだ翌日でした。15年飼っていて、死んだ時はかなり高齢だったのですが、よりによって最期の数ヶ月で皮膚がんを発症してしまったのです。幸せな人生だったと思うのですが、自然な死を迎えたいといつも思っていました。その代わり、私たちは彼を安楽死させなければなりませんでした。
この時、私の中で何かが切れたのは確かです。私の家はずっと貧乏でした。愛犬を安楽死させるお金もなく、鼻の腫瘍がかなり大きくなってから、やっと安楽死させるためにお金を貯めたのです。
でも、私の中では、ここまで来なくてもよかったのに、と思っています。もしかしたら、お金があれば、それすらも防げたかもしれない。高齢だったこともありますが、適切な手段があれば、そこまで危険な状態になる前に、がんを無力化することができたかもしれないのです。
まあ、金をばらまくには最適の話だろう？だから、この話は最初からしなかったんだ。それはフェアじゃないから。こういうプラットフォームはアートのためのものであって、同情するためのものではありません。僕はもう貧乏にはなりたくないけど、お金をせびるのではなく、支援に見合うだけの努力をしたいんです。
私自身、重い障害があり、あまり多くを語らずに言えば、できることは精一杯やりますが、多くの人にとって些細なことでも、できないこともあります。成功したければ、自分なりの方法で成功しなければならないと、私はいつも思っています。
このチャンスは、私のスタート地点です。遅いスタートでしたが、これが私のスタートです。
この2年間で、私は多くのものを失いました。私の犬を失ったことは、私をここに連れてくる最後の藁になるかもしれません。しかし、私はいくつかのものを得ました。多分、人生で初めて、アーティストとして、いや、人間としての自信が、低下するどころか、高まってきています。
アーティストとして受け入れられていることがわかり、心強く、さらに決意を新たにしました。これからも描き続けたい。方向性はひとつだし、燃え尽きたり、成功したりしたところで止まってしまう。でも、前にも言ったように、何もしないで目標に到達するのは嫌なんです。将来的には、マネタイズのための方法をいくつか導入するつもりですが、フェアでありたいと思います。
私のゴールと将来的に私が何をするのかに光を当てるために。
これらのアイデアはすべて進行中であり、実行されないかもしれないことを心に留めておいてください。
-パトロンも始めたいと思います。心配しないでください、これは単にアクセシビリティのために行うもので、ここで購読している人はそちらで購読する必要はありません、内容は同じです。
-また、長年の購読者に敬意を表して、投稿をクォーターパックに分けたいと思います。しかし、この「古い」パックを外部から購入する方法を導入する予定です。
-もしスケジュールに余裕があれば、一般に公開する1〜2週間前までに、このサイトで早見表や完成図を掲載したいと思います。
-もし時間と需要があれば、私の書く能力と「プログラム」の能力を使って、このビジネス全体にゲームと本を組み込んでみたいです。
-また、将来的にはプライベートDiscordサーバーを開設して、Tipsやトリック、アドバイスの交換、あるいは単なるコミュニケーションに使いたいとも思っています。プライベートストリームもいいかもしれませんね。
もっとたくさんのアイデアがありますが、手に負えなくなる前に、ここで止めておこうと思います。上記のように、これらは変更される可能性がありますし、もしあなたがここまで読んでくれたなら、コメント欄であなたのアドバイスをお待ちしています。もしそうなら、この長さのブログがあなたにとって問題ないかどうかもコメントに書いてください。このブログは、私の物語「妄想」の一章を書いたようなものです。とはいえ、まだ819語なので、もっと長く書けるんですけどね(笑)
もう一つ、英語は私の第一言語ではないので、これが読むのに堪えられないものでなければいいのですが。また、私は日本語のために使用する機械翻訳が有効であるかどうか、または私が無駄にそれをやっている場合、私は完全に不明である。それについてフィードバックをいただけると幸いです。

Well, at least doubt breeds self reflection and strengthens the ability to consider things before taking action, so that's that, haha. But I'm thankful for your kind words and will most likely continue to write long entries when I feel like it!

I sympathize with your self doubting, but know your art brings a warm happiness, at least to me - keep up your best even when times may feel low! Also I'd say always feel free to write at length about whatever you want, this is your fan page after all. (and your english is top notch, no need to worry about that)
