Livestream Party: May Movie Night!
🕑 Added 2021-05-12 21:36:01 +0000 UTCThanks everyone for voting on this month’s special event! There was a tie between a Livestream Movie Night and a Get to Know on my favorite artists, so this month we’ll do the movie night and next month I’ll do the Get to Know article. :) So let’s have a fun movie night!
+ When: Friday, May 14th, 2021. Drop in any time between 4-8pm PST!
+ Where: The Ragonia Discord Movie Room! Click here to open the invitation and join the Discord!
Click here for a guide to making a Discord account if you don't have one!
+ What: Grab some snacks, bevs, something to stream the movie on, and something to draw with if you want! I'll be streaming two very differently animated (and equally awesome) movies for us to enjoy and sketch from!
- 4:00-5:50 - The Mitchells vs. The Machines (2021)
- 5:50-6:00 - Break!
- 6:00-8:00 - Howl's Moving Castle (2004)
We'll keep the talking to the chat instead of voice, so people can hear the movie AND so it's open and accessible and low pressure.
There's tons of fun inspiring visuals in these films: great compositions, character designs, props, colors, environments. I highly recommend bringing something to draw or sketch as you watch, and then we can share it on the Community tab or on social media!
+ RSVP: Let me know if you'll be joining in the #movie-chat channel of the Discord or by commenting on this post. And if you're new to the Discord say hi in the #introduce-yaself channel!
+ Can't make the party? The Mitchells vs The Machines is streaming on Netflix, you can watch and sketch along whenever you're free! Tag any sketches you make with #RagoniaPatron so you can still get those good good community feels. :)
Hooray! Can't wait to hang out with you guys, get some sketching in, and enjoy some movies! See you Friday!!
