🕑 Added 2021-12-01 05:30:13 +0000 UTCHelloooo Patrons and HAPPY DECEMBER ALMOST!!
Let me tell you about what I did this month! An overview if you don't want to listen:
1. CLIENT PROJECTS
Working on a client project and it's coming out so well, but I can't show you EVER probably! NDAs! NDAs!
Book project has been postponed, but it's all good!
Unedited product photos for my new prints!
2. NEW PRINTS!
I ordered a bunch of new prints for a shop update!
To edit the pictures I subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud to use Photoshop on my PC instead of Google Snapseed on my iPad! It costs MONEY but hopefully it'll be easier on my wrist!
Mock-ups from StickerApp since they aren't here yet!
3. NEW STICKERS!
StickerApp gifted me a BUNCH of new stickers in a bunch of new materials (in exchange for content and light advertising.) They're not here yet but I'm PUMPED.
Shop update when? Aiming for end of this week/beginning of next!
The one that worked, new shirts incoming!
4. NEW SHIRTS?
I designed some shirts and ordered samples! One came out GREAT (the ghost one) and two came out BAD (witch and lagoon couple).
Reject shirts! LOVE the designs, hate the quality.
I feel conflicted about using a Print on Demand service to make new shirts (this video reminded me about the issues with fast fashion.)
I'll offer a limited run of the ghost shirts in the next week or two, and use the funds to invest in my own screen printing equipment so I can possibly print on secondhand shirts instead!
Streaky bad quality on this one >:(
Glad I tested them!
Animating for funzies, learning new things!
5. ANIMATION
I've been learning/practicing animation for fun and it's so hard to do anything else!
(Animating with the animation assist tool on Procreate on my iPad!)
Made it useful with this animation to advertise for my holiday sale!
I'm so proud!!! I'm obsessed!!
6. MAYOR OF MY ANIMAL CROSSING ISLAND
Playing out my urbanist dreams by installing train and bike infrastructure in Animal Crossing New Horizons. And pretending to be the Mayor. Dressing like a stylish Mayor.
New product photo for my shop edited in Photoshop!
7. PATREON UPDATES!
Full update and discussion soon, but I've been taking a workshop on improving this Patreon, and some exciting changes will be coming soon. I'll talk to you all about it along the way, but be prepared for some new things!
That's all for now!
What did you get up to this month? Do you have any exciting plans for December?
Drop me a comment, I'd love to chat!

Try to get a discount! I maaay just sign up when I need it and cancel it when I don't, I don't think I do shop updates often enough to have it be every month. And yaaay welcome to animal crossing!! And great suggestion for the local screenprinter, honestly it might be the best option. Thanks for your comment, Lucy!

Same about the Creative Cloud, but I'd just been using CS6 for years and years. Finally had to switch because of system updates and lack of compatibility ;_; Maybe I'll try to get the discount, too! I'm also thinking about expanding my shop sustainably (the struggles) and I'm on Animal Crossing (finally!). I think you might do well with finding a local printer/someone who loves screenprinting for your shirts and just pricing them whatever they need to be. You could also start on your own by getting a pre-burned screen on eBay or Etsy, and just doing the actual printing part yourself! That's what I do for the Hazel totes, and it is SO much less overhead/work/space-intensive.

I really like the podcast-style content. Love popping it on while I'm doing other tasks, it's like we're hanging out IRL hehe. Also your interest in screenprinting gets me excited again about screenprinting so lets goooooo I have so much to share.
