We haven't been able to hike much since coming back from my vacation in Oklahoma, because it's been so friggin hot, but temperatures are finally dropping and I'm excited.
Over the last week, I haven't really done a whole lot outside of working on the game. We've been doing a lot of planning for a thing we have coming up in October. I'll tell you more about that later. But that's about all I've been doing. Planning on doing stuff, haha.
At the end of October, we are planning a camping vacation. I'm really excited about it. I'll let you know where we went after we go, but it's going to be in the mountains and we're going to be camping there for 3 nights. We'll be able to hike various trails from the campsite and that's pretty much what we'll be doing while we're there. Hiking, camping, and just hanging out around camp, relaxing for four days. It sounds amazing to me right now. And I'll be bringing my notebook to write some while I'm there, because I can't help it.
My partner and I haven't actually been camping since we were kids though. So we're doing some practice camping before then. I bought all of the equipment that we needed and we're going to be camping at some nearby campsites a few times before we go to the big camping trip. Starting with next week. Planning on camping out one night next week and testing out all our equipment and stuff.
We already practiced setting up the tent and everything though. We set it up in the middle of my living room last week, blew up our sleeping pads and laid in the tent inside the sleeping bags for a little bit, before we both got too hot and took it all down. It was fun though. I can't explain how excited I am to do this.
I think I talked before about how I want to go on longer hikes and backpacking trips. This is a step towards that. Right now we're just going to be car camping, but the goal is eventually to carry all of this equipment in a backpack and go on a longer trip, hiking a multi-day trail. Just building up to it a little at a time.
And that's really all I have to talk about this week, I guess. My brain is very hyperfocused on hiking and camping at the moment. I hope you are all doing amazing. Love ya and thanks for all the support! <3

Sounds wonderful. Just watch out for ticks. I know people whose lives have been ruined because one of them got a tick bite and didn't get treatment in time.
