“Shadow?” Ingal asked as she fled, the Shadow following along silently. The woman looked at Ingal with curiosity. “If I am… disposed of tomorrow by that psychopath even with your protection. Will you let my Valkyries know I love them all, that Ivana is to be crowned next Lord of the Valkyrie Nest… and that I always hated that brat and all of his children except Arkyn.” Ingal sighed before sweeping her hair back and regaining more of her youthful appearance. The Shadow nodded her head and spoke for once.
“Of course. All will be done.” The Shadow said as she resumed her silence again. Ingal wondered what sort of brutal training was done to Shadows, she heard Cassinder’s prized son Arkyn was already a miraculous Shadow and wondered how Yhellan was doing. It had been years since the Harpy had become a Shadow and she rarely visited… then again… it was Ingal who had pushed her away the hardest. Ingal stopped that train of thought before she could turn melancholy. There was an entire mountain of work to do as the glowing snow fell upon them and music filled the air as people celebrated left and right.
