When you start a new game you'll spawn in a small section of the Red Garden near the Main Entrance. The rest currently hasn't been mapped. There are no story events or tiny NPCs. You can explore most of the Grass Jungle, which is very empty and incomplete at the moment.
You can enter the Manor by going through the Grass Jungle to the hole in the wall in the west. Enter the Lobby by climbing through the Mouse Tunnels. Here, you'll be able to access the Drawing Room and the Library where all the current encounter examples occur.
There are enemies along the way that you can encounter to get a taste for the battle system. Most the enemies are easily avoided.
You'll notice that there is music and sound, but some areas play nothing and some things have no sound attached to them. Sound design is an ongoing wip and needs more attention.
- control + x opens the debug menu
- control + alt hides part of the GUI (likely to change)
- WASD/Arrows to navigate the map (Or click physical exit icons in mini map)
- Click highlighted text to interact with objects.
I'll be releasing a public version in a week after squashing some bugs. For now, you can download the first tech demo in the VIP section on the Discord.
The following contains spoilers
Gwen can be encountered in the morning in the center of the Red Hall. A new character, Iris, can be encountered in the Drawing Room during the afternoon. If she eats you, then there is no finished encounter, you just get stuck there. Joanne can be encountered by trying to go into the Rec Room by the Green Hall

Some additions have been made to the trello detailing known issues with the current Pre-Alpha as well as progress being made to address these issues. You can also view general goals/known issues/player suggestions and requests that have been listed. Going forward, I will be relying more and more on trello to keep myself as organized as possible.
