Forts sketch is Nova just… observing the human they had chosen to “capture” them. Nickolas—as you can imagine— is very uncomfortable having a pretty mermaid unabashedly stare holes into the side of his face
The second is Nova having a very thorough discussion with their emotional support skull about the pros and cons getting captured by humans. This is following a vicious attack by a feral mercreature, which is something that Nova has to constantly navigate since they don’t have a pod for the benefit of group security (you can imagine what this has done to Nova mentally since mermaids are still social creatures lol)
