Everything about this sounds pretty pathetic. Like ACE VENTURA JR levels of pathetic, but at least that was a franchise already--who in their right mind wants a BREWSTER'S MILLIONS sequel 40 years later that is hardly a comedy and has cameos from Pryor's kids? If you cast Keke Palmer in that role and made it theatrical, at least she'd make sense as today's female equivalent of a Richard Pryor.

I too did a little research on Brewster's just to see how many times this has been remade and was shocked into confused laughter that not only was there was a sequel made RECENTLY, but that's a Christmas movie and made for BET.
