Haven't seen Brewster's yet (although I am fond of the story of it's development being rooted in a lot of Michael Eisner bullshit) but Walter Hill is one of my favorite directors. Streets of Fire's opening is what movies were made for

BREWSTER’S is far from my favorite Hill movie but it has its charms. Definitely respect that Hill tried something different at that point. Along with his films he directed one of the best Tales From the Crypt episodes, “Cutting Cards” with Lance Henriksen and Kevin Tighe as rival gamblers.

I only just saw Brewster's Millions a couple months ago and I was a little inebriated while watching. I later was describing to my brother what I had seen and he thought I was making it up.

A terrific journeyman director that don't exist anymore. If I described "The Warriors" You te ll me i was drunk, and that I needed to go home. What a fun film. 48hrs on paper sounds almost formulaic, but is such a great movie.
