🕑 Added 2021-11-15 00:00:18 +0000 UTCMatt talks with playwright Ben Firke about I Am The Gooseking, which just finished its debut run at The Tank theater in New York City. Here's a description of the play:
Jane Vazquez is a journalist on assignment for a tech blog. She travels to New Hampshire to interview a young conspiracy theorist and YouTuber named Phil, who has thousands of followers who embrace his elaborate "vegetable conspiracy," first outlined by the mysterious GooseKing. As Jane goes deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole of Phil's family, she finds herself in a mire of journalistic ethics.

Hey Boys: Sam, I am a friend of Sarah Miller, who turned me on. I used a lot of your pod to teach my class of "The Origin of the New Right" last year. As to your upcoming Freud and Succession episodes, obv Naomi Fry's thing on the tv show and piss. I've been trying for 20 years as an academic to link co-pissing/circle jerk as the font of some kind of frat-right-politics. Bring it!
