🕑 Added 2021-10-22 13:39:31 +0000 UTC(Posting this main episode over here on the Patreon feed because we forgot to last week! Love you guys! - Team KYE)
Matt is joined by Know Your Enemy favorite Sarah Jones to discuss her recent New York Magazine essay, "An Atheist Reconsiders God in the Pandemic." They discuss their shared religious upbringing and college years among fundamentalist and evangelical Christians, why Sarah became an atheist (and Matt didn't), and the reasons she reopened the question of God's existence during the pandemic—and what she did and didn't find along the way. Other topics include: C.S. Lewis, the nature of rituals, how we hold our beliefs, and more!

just listened to the other episode with her on it, and just had to say that I don’t think the anti christ can exist because it is literally impossible for someone to be universally liked lol. I could never figure it out like “Obama is the antichrist,” like CLEARLY he can’t be bc you motherfuckers 1. hate him and 2. are still here.??

I’d be interested to know if, like Sarah, Matt feels he has rejected his parents’ beliefs but not their worldview (i.e. no agnosticism allowed, take it or leave it)

One of my favorites. Love when Sarah is on the show.
