A small PC update
🕑 Added 2020-09-05 07:11:27 +0000 UTCAs you may know if you watch my stream (and you may have been able to see worse frame rates in recordings) my PC hadn't been running very well the last couple months. I tried a few solutions, last weekend cleaning out all the dust and re-applying the thermal paste for my CPU cooler, updating drivers etc etc but it didn't work.
So this weekend I did a fresh install of Windows and it seems to have sorted the issue. At the same time one of my older HDDs was on the way out so I decided to replace it with the one pictured below. I went with the IronWolf because they don't have SMR (shingled magnetic recording) it didn't cost much more and hopefully it will last a bit longer.
