Hey, I'm glad you're liking this story so far! I've got a lot to say with this story, and it's getting fleshed out a lot in these rewrites. We're definitely going to see for a very grounded approach for roughly the first 2/5ths of the story before things start going off the rails. There's a lot to look forward to! I'm rewriting this between projects, so there's no telling when it'll all be finished, but this is gonna be a LONG one lol. Thanks for reading!

Very happy this story is back - I love any kind of mystery/horror adjacent WG kind of stories. FWIW, I really enjoyed the original 7 chapters of this- it had a good Twilight Zone episode kind of vibe going on. Its also interesting to read these new chapters compared to the old ones- seems like the tone of the new chapters and the characters' moods in general are a bit more...subdued? Or somber, even? I guess for Owen anyway, like with Emily's intro he's more focused on not wanting to be there compared to Emily's different look ( I do miss some of those descriptions of Emily from the 1st version, like her wearing the Clemson hoodie and so on- you do a great job with the "Person you haven't seen in a long time is now really fat" trope, going back to the Stacy's Mom story) Then again, maybe as events escalate in the WG department in subsequent chapters, that kind of lighter, more "Well, this is really weird but I'm just going to roll with it" tone where reality is seemingly catered to Owen's tastes more and more gets back to the forefront and contrasts with the beginning more "grounded" chapters? Or everything just gets darker and more horror focused than the 1st version? I'm also assuming the new version is probably going to be more stretched out chapter wise? Considering Becca isn't in the picture yet whereas a bunch more had happened by the end of 3 in the old version. Great work and looking forward to the rest Bobo!

Thanks, friend! There's a lot (a LOT) more to come with this story, and those horror elements will slowly crawl their way to the forefront of what's happening in Pin Oak Pointe. I'm glad that you like what's here so far, and hope that you enjoy what's to come!

I always really liked this story and am more than glad that you're revisiting it. I think the underlying unease comes through better in this version. The character introductions play on that uncanny aspect too, which apes the tropes of horror for a different effect here. The friendship between Quinn and Owen feels much realer this time too.
