Cicada Springs, v0.9.2.3 | Fat Townies Update
🕑 Added 2024-06-30 15:00:13 +0000 UTCHey everyone, Bobo here with your monthly Cicada Springs update.
I hope everyone has been doing well! We're all officially halfway through the year 2024, which has been a MUCH better year for me than the one prior. Incidentally, that success has had some effect of me not being in the office as much for this past month. I started a new job very early on in June, and between training and getting into a new schedule, I haven't had a lot of time to be in my office.
As such, I thought I'd whip together something that would be fun for everyone involved, as well as a little thank you from me to you as I try and steer this game back to the fattening fun of it rather than just bug patches and fleshing out old mechanics.
Now then, let's get on to the juicy stuff.
Version 0.9.2.4
Will I need to start a new save file?
Most likely, no. But I've shifted around some of the game's image files in the name of making it easier to grab sprites when I need them, so keep that in mind.
Are there any bugs that I should be worried about?
Margot's blueberry frappe persists, but so do I.
Graphic Changes:
The Jogger (Amaya), the Fiction Addiction Shopper (Marla) and the Cutie Pie's Patron (Lula) have been given additional dialogue slots that allow for a small fattening mini-quest for those who are so inclined.
This has involved me slotting in a one-in-three dialogue chance, selected randomly, at the beginning of a new day. This means that there are three dialogues that can occur at any given weight stage. If a character is not providing you with the opportunity to give them the requested item, simply go to bed for the evening and the number will reset.
Each character requests a specific item, available only through the Bobo's cart or through the debug room, that will not change despite varying weights. Once a character has reached "max" fat levels, they will stop requesting said item.
→ Lula will ask for slices of Blue Cake.
→ Amaya will ask for BoBlondies.
→ Marla will ask for BoLattes. In the interest of encouraging bug-testing and getting the most out of this update for those who have already done rigorous testing, I encourage accessing the debug room through these steps:
→ in the Evening, approach the vending machine
→ input all 9's
→ go to the far right of the tarped-off building next to the machine
Bug Fixes & Other Notable Changes
Fixed a bug where resting until evening on Friday nights would summon Margot into your apartment.
What's Next?
I would really like to get Questlines back up and running. But the Ask feature is the only thing getting in the way between me and releasing a more playable demo to folks outside of Patreon, so I may have to prioritize that.
Either way, I appreciate everyone's understanding. This is just a silly little update to say thank you all for your continued patronage, and I figured nobody could be too mad at me if I included new ladies to fatten up as a side-quest.
I'll see y'all again for the next update, with hopefully another big stepping stone made in getting this thing ready and out the door!

Awesome, those are good to know! Thank you!

Found a few bugs. 1) Sometimes when gifting Clover or Kendra it will show the wrong Sprite. 2) When talking to Margot (huge size) at the coffee shop the chat will randomly switch to Charlie. 3) I don't know if these are visual bugs, but the microwave at the bar is placed under the table prop. And the table on the right can be walked on.
