Over the years I've experimented a lot with my style to improve it for myself.
I now think it looked nicer if you couldn't see the flesh of the inner ears.
What do you all mean?
Can I easily go back to the old style without it affecting the quality?
I would be for style 3.
(2 is an intermediate version, and very similar to the very old design)

I like the "very old style" best. I'm not a fan of the pink skin of all the others.

some animals like mice or rabbits have bare ears anyway. But most fennecs also have fur inside. Whether you can see the skin or not is also a question of style.

I'll be honest I really think it depends on the species. Like for a fennec I feel like Option 1 actually fits them better, but for species with more fur then 2 or 3 feel more appropriate.
