Health update!

How's the end of the year treating you? It's such a busy time, remember to try resting and spending time with your loved ones.
As these tend to be busy busy times I had my third tysabri infusion just before christmas!! That way I can take that out of my head for a bit. The infusions don't make me feel any physical side effects (which is great!) but I get this thing I call infusion blues... I always have a rough time in the day and for a while after it, but that's just me trying to cope with my new life I guess.
My family helped me getting the tysabri this time and sent me this pic, I thought it was cute.
A fact about tysabri and other medication that is used for multiple sclerosis: they are called disease modifying therapies!They are used to impede how multiple sclerosis evolves: by reducing the inflammatory response of your immune system over your nervous system.
Being three months on tysabri, I'm giving my body the time to adapt... and since my last flare episodes were severe and really roughed me up, it's giving the chance for the inflammatory response to go down significantly so scarring can happen. Recovery of nervous tissue is really really unlikely as a rule of thumb though.... but I can say my hand numbness and overall vision are getting better!
My relationship with art has been very difficult... I'm working hard in therapy and with my psychiatrist so I can try to remedy that!!! It feels like I'm sucked of passion and willpower....sigh.
I feel so powerless. That my art is horrible. I'm not made for this. And that I should give up.
On a brighter note: a friend of ours found a kitty under their engine hood this weekend!!! We offered help to give temporary housing, it's the cutest little girl. Our friend's 3 year old named her maria, so I started calling her maria gasolina hehe!!!
She's fed, tested for FIV and FELV, bathed and dewormed!!! Getting ready for her new lair where she'll have a lot of love!!
