Patron Series 3: Constructing a #ArtDeco Dial Indicator Part 3 (Making The Bridge & Main Plate)
🕑 Added 2024-11-28 22:47:00 +0000 UTCHi Folks,
Episode 3 of the Dial Indicator project is good to go! There is much hand fitting in this episode, as well as a thorough testing of the watchmaker's faceplate. Do please enjoy.
Cheers,
Chris.

Almost tear jerkingly beautiful - reminiscent of halcyon Clickspring.

Loved the video, but at around 27:30-27:45 there's some very loud high pitch noise in the audio.

chris - it's the same enjoyment as when my bass player friends and i hear a bassist who's so far ahead of us we joke (ha!) that we might as well burn our guitars. fortunately, i can keep doing my sherline lathe 101 stuff and watch clickspringTV for how to do every aspect 'right'. you are the roger federer of the craft.

Great to have your support Jeff, thank you :)

Just caught up. You're out of my league but you give me something to aspire to.

Thank you PJ!

These edges will receive "Special Attention" later, but until then a ruby slip stone leaves them "Presentable". @27:32 As a Mere mortal, those words are so inspirational and at least a galaxy away from "remove all burrs and sharp edges". I'm most grateful to witness such an art form. My Very Best to You and Mrs. B.!! Hat Tip, ~PJ

yeah, yeah… yeah perfection. :-) You’ve spoiled us, Chris… Lovely work, as usual. By the way the music on this one seemed a tad loud… in particular, thought the synth/violin sound @ 15 minutes or so in was a little ‘whiny’ (maybe i just didn’t love that sample)… and I love to hear every sound you make when you are working. pls cast my vote for minimal music, maximum just the sounds of you working. keep ‘em coming!

Amazing, as always. Thanks Chris, have a good one!

Thank you mate, much appreciated!

Lovely work as always, Chris :) The styling of the plates and cock is really robust, but at the same time graceful. Onward to the dial!
