I can't wait to learn more about this fascinating machine as you publish more videos. Have you ever thought of recording an entire cutting session with this machine (either with or without commentary, happy with either) and uploading it raw. The process is so mesmerizing to watch.

For those interested Guilloché: A History & Practical Manual by Calina C. Shevlin -- Hardcover – June 28, 2017 which is in current print from Schiffer and available fairly widely from the usual sources is an excellent reference to straight-line and rose engine machines and includes references to various types of patterns along with a nice history of the machines etc. I make jewelry items as a hobby and one of my bucket list items is to attempt a Faberge style egg so I have been looking at classic Guilloché. I suspect I will attempt mine with hand engraving since finding the correct machines isn't easy these days but this book was an excellent addition to my library and I figure if folks here find this interesting they would enjoy the book.

Its quite a thing to watch in motion, I've found myself getting a bit 'sea-sick' on a few occasions because of being in close for long periods of time, and losing the horizon. Re the AM, yes a lot of research for what's coming up. I may go the formal route for some of it, but its going to depend on time. Review and publication is a terribly slow & time consuming process - Cheers :)

My mind still refuses to believe that it is the workpiece that moves rather than the tool, as it seems to be the more solid of the two and therfore more reluctant to movement. Albiet it does move. One other thing I've been wanting to ask, you're not working on another research paper for the AM, are you? (Half jokingly, half genuinely asking at this point.)
