Hi Ralph, primary references for its structure are the descriptions and images found in Daniels’ “Watchmaking”, Henry B. Fried’s “Bench Practices For Watch And Clockmakers”, and “The Modern Watchmakers Lathe And How To Use It” by Archie B Perkins. These references describe the anatomy and use of the tool but have no construction drawings; I will be publishing my drawings at the completion of the project - Cheers :)

Chris, I have a Sherline lath/mill combo and was looking at the reference book you suggested but could not find and drawings/mat'l lists. Did you draw all of this or where is your source for doing this? cheers Ralph

Beautiful :) I have the parts of a Swiss made Watchmaker's Faceplate that needs work/alteration to get the best out of it on my 6mm Lorch lathe. Looking forward to getting that done, and there are some useful tips coming up in you videos (as always). Question: Why not polish the wire before making the spring? Does it scuff up too much? Cheers
