Sorry not Chris but Me personally, I usually don’t use accelerator as it tends to cause less strength from what I have seen in use, for woodworking I use it all the time and for small things that are not critical I accelerator but not on things like this.

Thank you mate!

Greg Otte

Do you have a specific reason to not use CA glue accelerator when gluing parts for machining, rather then waiting a couple of hours?

Graeme Brumfitt

Rite Chris, probably never need one of these but boy do I bloody want one Awesome work, set up and cinematography! TFS, GB :)

Thank you mate! - CA glue for the paper, and then a soak off with acetone when its done - Cheers :)

Damian Sutter

hmm. better watch part I before I dive into this... What type of glue do you use for the "sandpaper mill" Great video and beautiful results! Thanks Chris!

Actually y'know i've just thought of a way I could have done it with 3 at once, but I didn't think of it... if you know what I mean!

Clickspring

Thank you mate. It doesn't quite work out for 3 with the geometry of the offset hole - Cheers :)

Thanks Stefan!

Cheers Matt :)

Thank you Chris :)

Really nice work Chris. A question: Why did you set up the fixture for two jaws, and not three, at 120º from each?

Stefan

As always absolutely stunning work, Chris!

Matt Jackson

The love that goes into the tool making is inspiring. What I enjoy so much is then seeing those tools used practically, so as the finger clamp and the deburring tools. Great to see you publishing regularly again. Thanks so much, Chris!

chris grainge

Beautiful, as always....

Ha ha! Cheers mate :)

PJ

Once again outstanding 3Fs, but the only man I know that makes an art form of deburring! Thanks Chris!

Yes, always multiple ways to land the part, each with their own pro's and con's - Cheers :)

Considering you were making parts with that lathe fixture, it can easily be done in only 3 setups rather than the 4 shown. Basically cutting 1a/2b, 2a/3b, 3a/1b. This would also mean that it would stay reasonably balanced for every operation rather than having it somewhat unbalanced on the last set. That, and it would have saved a bunch of time!

Thank you mate, I was so pleased with the way the fixture performed. Yes I will edit that footage this week.

Jeff Armstrong

Only you would put such a finish on tools. To my mind the fixture was actually more important from a design point of view than the actual vice jaws. Will you be making that available later?

Cheers Bryan :)

Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you
