Soundboard for players
🕑 Added 2023-08-13 15:45:44 +0000 UTCSince its inception, Moulinette has remained steadfast in its mission to streamline content distribution for creators and enhance assets accessibility for game masters (GMs). Looking ahead, I am committed to expanding these benefits to players and developers of other modules within the Moulinette ecosystem.
This new update empowers every player to build their unique soundboard. Whether catering to a bard's swift rendition of their beloved ballad, a mage weaving intricate depths into spell invocations, or a barbarian unleashing intermittent roars of intimidation, the possibilities are boundless.
FoundryVTT prerequisites
In order to use Moulinette Soundboard as a user, the 'Moulinette Sounds' module must be installed and activated.
It is also recommended to enable "Upload New Files" and "Use File Browse" permissions for players.

Make sure both "Moulinette Game Icons" (v. 11.1.1) and "Moulinette Sounds" (v. 11.2.0) are up-to-date on your FVTT server.
1. Open Moulinette Soundboard
To access the new feature, simply click on the corresponding button located in the sidebar under the "Playlists" tab.

2. Configure desired size
Use the top action buttons to effortlessly adjust the number of rows and columns, catering to your display preferences and requirements.

3. Add audio (sounds/music) to your soundboard
Voilà! All that's left is to configure each slot for playing an audio file
- Right-click on a slot to enter "edit" mode
- Use FilePicker to browse and add at least 1 audio file per slot
- Make the most of Moulinette's integrations to quickly choose an icon from Font Awesome or Game-icons.net. Alternatively, select your own image.

4. Play sound from your soundboard
Once you have set up your sound table, all you need to do is click on a slot to play the audio file. If you have configured a slot with multiple sounds, Moulinette will play one of them randomly. This comes in handy when, for instance, you want to randomly play one of your spell incantations.

As always, your comments, feedbacks and suggestions are welcomed!

Moulinette
Implemented in v-11.3.0. Text buttons can be wider (1, 2 or 3 slots wide). I hope fits your needs. Otherwise, let me know. Thank you for the suggestion!

Love this - would be great if we could make the buttons wider to accommodate words? Icons are fine, but I have several voice lines to put in. Even with a single word I'm losing the meaning. So yeah, wider buttons (or an option to increase the soundboard button width please!)

haha. That's a good one. Make sure then to disable the module for your sessions or remove the 2 permissions.

Love I have players I can trust with this :D

Really cool, but with great power comes great responsibility so I would never give this to my players 😅
