Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends, and had plenty of time for ... role-playing!
Thank you for being a part of our journey for over 2 years now. I am very excited to present to you the new features and free content now available.
Compendiums officially released and supporting Moulinette Cloud
A first beta version of Moulinette Compendiums was developed and made available last August. Moulinette Compendiums is now officially available on FoundryVTT (you can search for the module and install it from the module list) and supports content from creators available on Moulinette Cloud.

This release includes all the benefits as for locally indexed content (see New module : Moulinette Compendiums), and new features specific to Moulinette Cloud :
- Content from creators you support
- Import any kind of asset, including rolling tables, journal articles with PDFs or full adventures
- Drag & drop an item to a character sheet. Everything gets downloaded as you go.
Note : only the most recently uploaded modules by creators are available in Moulinette Compendiums. Based on your feedback and interest, we will be able to reprocess the entire content from creators.
Free content
More than 15,000 assets are already offered for free by over 35 creators available on Moulinette Cloud. To enrich this library, we have recently added thousands of free game assets from Kenney (CC0 license). These are mainly icons or small tiles (2d, 3d isometric, pixel art) that are really useful for illustrating certain actions, macros, feats, items, ... or even for enhancing your journal articles.
(Overview mix of game assets from Kenney, as available in Moulinette. If you find these contents very useful for your game sessions, I encourage you to donate to Kenney to support the creation of game assets)
Let me know in the comments what you think of this initiative.
New feature : Hiding assets
Moulinette now allows you to hide content from certain creators or packs.
This might interest you if :
- You have access to free content available on Moulinette Cloud (see previous section) but this content does not interest you
- You have access to premium content from a creator you support but you want to exclude certain types of assets
- You have a large collection indexed locally by Moulinette but the contents are not all relevant in your world (ex: fantasy assets in a post-apocalyptic world)
To exclude content, simply click on the icon at the bottom right, then choose to exclude all content from the creator (1) or all content from a specific pack (2).
You can always reactivate hidden content from the options (bottom left cog icon). Moulinette also allows you to export your content management preferences in order to re-import them into another world or keep a backup.
New feature : content tagging for secure downloads
Creators who offer packs for download can now add tags and generate URL addresses to allow their users to quickly find all packs in a certain category and download them more easily.
Bug fixes
- Moulinette didn't index local content if the file extension was in uppercase (eg: .MP3 while expecting .mp3). Release Core 11.7.0 fixed it by making it case-insensitive.
- Moulinette Cloud didn't support wildcard paths like "/path/{token1,token2,token3}.jpg", failing to download the 3 alternate token images. Fixed in Moulinette Core 11.7.0.
