Moulinette Next Generation : add-on for Firefox/Chrome
🕑 Added 2022-09-09 22:30:59 +0000 UTCI'm very excited to announce this new release!
I've been working past few weeks on a new Moulinette with the goal to make it usable ... outside of FoundryVTT.
Why ?
- If you want to quickly browse the creators' collection or search for an asset, you don't necessarily want to launch FoundryVTT.
- Not all GMs use FoundryVTT. Some have sessions on other VTTs (like Roll20) or simply prepare their games with software locally installed.
- Creators needed to launch FoundryVTT in order to preview how their assets look like in Moulinette. It was a waste of time.
- Moulinette's mission is to bring together creators and their supporters, by facilitating assets management and distribution (for creators) and speeding up the search of desired assets (for users)
With Moulinette Browser Extension (MBE), you can now :
- browse, search and use images in your browser (outside of FoundryVTT)
- drag & drop images on existing website/VTT (which support it)
- download images on your desktop and quickly use them in local applications
MBE is available for Firefox and Chrome.

NOTE : these are early releases that have been tested on a limited amount of different computers. Be indulgent with me if you it doesn't work as expected :-)
Feedbacks are welcome (Moulinette Discord). Confirming on which setup (OS/browser) it works is very helpful.

I didn't know Owlbear Rodeo before you mentioned it. I quickly tested and drag & drop doesn't work out of the box. I would have to troubleshoot why but you can always download (right click) and then drag & drop it directly.

This is amazing, and the fact it can be used outside of Fvtt opens up the benefits of Moulinette to other users. I use fvtt for my main campaign but for one shots I tend to use Owlbear Rodeo - and this will be of enormous help. Thank you - I can't wait to try it out.
