New MwM - Space Jam 2 is worse than you think (out now on Nebula)
🕑 Added 2023-06-08 20:10:25 +0000 UTC
Greetings, esteemed Patrons!
First, an apology for taking an extra time on this video. It’s been a trying time as we had trips, an unscheduled concussion, and, honestly: this episode was harder to find the voice than I would have liked.
I don’t like to believe this episode is cynical, but it certainly acknowledges cynicism within the Hollywood system. Also, you get a really fun history of the great movie making city! I’m not sure Warner Bros is gonna be hitting me up for a collab anytime soon, but they weren’t exactly blowing up the FilmJoy phones as of late.
The Space Jam 2 Movies with Mikey is now live on Nebula and you can watch it here: https://nebula.tv/videos/filmjoy-space-jam-2-is-worse-than-you-think
This video will be live for all Patrons in two weeks time and live on youtube two weeks after that. Which will coincide with the release of our next video. We’re still struggling on youtube, so I’m leaning maybe more into click-baity thumbnail stuff than I’d like—but running a business, you know, you pick and choose your battles :D
We thank you from all of our hearts (not just the bottoms) for the continued support to make videos talking about important things (like the current state of Hollywood and how artists generally get blame that should be laid at executives’ feet).
Next one’s gonna surprise some people. Love,
-TeaKey

People on the ground cranking out frankly _stunning_ work in spite of working in systems and conditions that are very oof. Yeah that's a real mood for the year, I feel it.

Zaslav saying “this is a fantastic collection of assets” made me physically ill as an artist
It was definitely rough trying to stomach watching the new Space Jam. Only thing worse I've watched recently was the revamped Munsters movie
