I think having one of these chapters every now and then is good. A lot of the main characters are aware of the situations still present elsewhere but from their perspective only. For example, reading this and then thinking about what the Dicathens will feel towards the Alacryans for all the suffering caused will likely be a long hatred. I wouldn't be surprised if the Dicathens had the power they might call for genocide of the Alacryans... This also goes towards the idea that any peace with vitra and agrona is nigh impossible, probably same with a number of the dragons. This war is far from over, and it might get worse before it gets better...

Kind of a pointless chapter. What’s the use of a pov from those who are completely and absolutely powerless against the wraiths. Even if it’s a war the innocents will always get completely run through so it seems a waste of time as there’s barely any useful character building and only point seems to show how awful the wraiths are but we already know this.

I think that is quite plausible. We've never seen Windsom's or Charon's dragon forms and it says that the black dragon had a very deep killing intent, but that could be both Arthur and Sylvie's killing intents combined

So. Here is the thing. What are the chances that the three dragons are Charon, Windsom (could also be someone else) and Sylvie with Arthur riding on her back and that Oludari's artifact is a device pinging his position, meaning he might have already expected to be caught if he didn't encounter Arthur immediately and now they are following the signal? (Regis did say the disc was carved from Oludari's bone, so...) The only thing that needs solving in that case is the killing intend. If it really is them, does that mean that Arthur reacted to what has happened with the caravan as in he saw the Vritra mana and some of the remains of the battle through Realmheart? Then again, it might just be a coincidence that there are 'three' dragons patrolling instead of just 'two', and that one of the dragons just so happened to be black (like Sylvie) and the other two white (like Sylvia was, which is to assume that other Indrath clan members also might have white scales, which is convenient since we know Charon is supposedly with Arthur right now). But then again, what do I know... *cough* One a side note: Is that the mountain from the beginning of the story where the bandits attacked? The detail of the boulder being moved by magic seems too strong of a hint to ignore.

I got mixed feelings about this chapter. I love the fact that we can see how the wraiths are/feel from a regular mage's point of view. On another hand, not a big fan of seen more dicathians suffering, even while acknowledging that they are not in a position where they have a capable force to face these kind of threats. It has been too much suffering for them in my opinion, unless, Turtle is preparing another massacre for the human race, and then the dwarfs 😅. On another note, comparing the wraiths to white cores mages got my attention. Make me think of the possibilities of the Lances being able to take down asuras if working as teams... I just hope that Turtle dont kill these bad guys easily when their time comes, I hope we can get couple of chapters full of details of their torturing 😌
